The truck was awful. It shook violently between 30-40mph, and at any speed over 65 it shook so violently that it was not driveable. Because I could not physically do the speed limit, it turned a 7 hour drive into an 11 hour slog. I've left feedback when returning the truck and I truly hope it is reviewed and the truck is fixed. The mobile app didn't clearly indicate what is the ID of the equipment I should be looking at - I thought it was a license plate number of a truck.. .A very helpful employee respectfully pointed out to me the right location of the tag at the top of each vehicle... Also, I was under impression that entire process was going to be online only - but I was asked to enter the store to retrieve the truck key... I set up my truck several weeks in advance along with dollies and the new u-haul totes. When I went to pick up my truck I used the u-haul app as I was hoping to make things as quick as possible. Firstly it took a very long time to find the truck because they were parked everywhere with no apparent system. When I finally found it I could do nothing because the truck was locked with a key lock rather than a combination lock. So I had to go inside, where there was only one person behind the counter and about 10 people in line. Thankfully the person behind the counter could see in the system I had checked in through the app and motioned me forward to get my truck key. I thought things were looking up at this point, however, it was clear my truck had not been looked at since the last person turned it in. There were items from the previous person in the back as well as in the cab. To make matters even worse it had 1/6 tank of gas or 40 mile range. Thankfully a credit was put onto my account of $42 to compensate for this, but the extra time was not appreciated since I absolutely had to put gas in the truck first before I could do anything else. So obviously since the truck had not been looked at since the last person dropped it off, clearly that meant they weren't prepared for me at all. So then I had to go back inside and wait in line to ask for my dollies and my totes. All in all I was there about an hour before I was able to finally leave. Just disappointed in the lack of preparation and care for their customers time. They should have more people working at the front desk to maintain the line to a reasonable amount of people and the trucks should be prepared and ready by the pick-up time. Thankfully I had no issues with the truck or any of the equipment and all worked as intended. Not saying I wouldn't come to this location again, but I will probably talk directly to a manager if I do to ensure they will have my truck ready with everything I need when I arrive.Joseph C.

Our entire rental experience was superb from the reservation to check in to drop off. An organization's culture is driven from the top down and clearly this U-Haul location is operated by a team of experienced and customer-oriented professionals. Having rented U-Hauls for various reasons over the past 20 years, we have never experienced a more professional operation than what we encountered yesterday. The reservation process was simple with an accurate quote. We received a courtesy follow up within minutes of making our reservation, advising us as to the location of our rental. At time of check-in, Miguel (Owner) took care of us extremely efficiently and we were in and out in minutes. At time of drop-off, the U-Haul support and cleaning crew took possession of the cargo van with courtesy. Even a follow up with Kevin demonstrated the high degree of professionalism this group exemplifies. You will not be disappointed.LAURA H.

When I first called to get a unit person over the phone had sold me on things that weren’t true asked if I needed insurance they said no that was a lie. Then they gave me a price for the unit when I got there it wasn’t the one that I explained to the lady over then phone, so that increased what I had planned on spending and then I went there after hours twice. When I picked up the truck at the 70611 location, it had 8 bags of blankets and two dollies in the truck which I did not order. Not all of the blankets were bagged or folded. When I dropped off the truck, the attendant fussed at me for not folding and wanted to charge me $25. I explained that I didn't order the extra equipment and was returning it how I got it. I then had to wait for him to go find his supervisor. He returned and begrudgingly let me go with extra charges, but it made me never want to return there again.Chad A.

I have tried to contact the local store a number of times. I moved out during the evening before my next charge on 3 different units. The charge hit at midnight. I have been unable to get refunds. When I call, I am on hold for 20 minutes, the local store answers and they switch me to a national line where I am on hold again. The auto transport was faulty and had been sitting out by the curb with a tire that was worn out which caused a blow out. No one answered the roadside line for 40 mins and had to wait in the rain in the middle of no where for almost 3 hours.ALLISON H.

Understaffed for volume of business. Took 45 minutes to pick up a truck, with a reservation. They don't answer phones during the middle of the day... Retuned equipment after hours. Could not find reservation when I logged into my account on your app. FINALLY got it to work when I only entered my phone number and last name, as though I had no account... The location was too busy for two employees. These poor guys did their best. The team member who checked me out was courteous and helpful. 5stars for him. However, I tried to call multiple times. The wait time to speak to someone was over 35 minutes, which I waited on hold. By the time someone finally answered it was a corporate customer service rep who couldn't care less. I needed to speak to someone at the location. She was of no help. Her solution to me needing to speak to someone who could help, was to drive back to the location. Every mile costs money and valuable time. Your corporate customer service team should be able to contact the location. I'm not sure if it was just her, or if that's how Uhaul operates. She actually told me they were too busy to answer the phone and the calls were being routed to her. How can you be of service when there is nothing you can, or will do to help?VERONICA B.

Van was clean but not maintained. The Air condition was not working. The fan was blowing hot air. It made the travel very difficult. It's not easy to travel on the highway with windows down. I called the customer service to let them know after I dropped the vehicle off at the return center. Wait was incredibly long. When I went back to get the auto trailer it took even longer than the truck rental and they scheduled the trailer be returned to a different location, about 15 miles farther than the truck, at a different time, thankfully the attendant said it wasn't a problem to return it with the truck not I tried multiple times to call and could not get through because the hold times were ridiculous, from 20 to 50 minutes, when I did finally get through some 8 hours later and after holding more than half hour I was able to confirm my return and receive a receipt which I should not have had to do. Also the hood kept coming up on the truck so I had to keep pulling over and the returning attendant didn't seem interested at all in this or my over all experience and sorely lacking customer service skills. I will think twice about renting from Uhaul again in the future.DENISE A.

Make sure the customer getting a good product just like you get there money. I had a defected trailer prior to even starting my trip. While loading the car the the lip on the trailer was too high for my car spoiler when the guy had me to back up it caused the car was to the side and puncture the tire and the guy didn't even mention it to me until I noticed it, when I did a walk around to check my vehicle on the trailer. I moved out of the storage May 1st and was told all I need to do is remove my things and lock then let staff know before I leave. I did exactly that. The manager even wrote the storage number on his hand. I thought it was done, but 18 days later I get billed for another month. I called customer service the store to get a refund and was placed on hold for 20 minutes. Some random guy answers he could assist me. He claimed he removed me from auto pay and processed the refund. I didn't believe him and went to the store after work. I found out I was still on auto bill and my account had not been refunded. The guy was able to cancel the auto payment and refund my account. Very clean and secure facility, I was happily surprised. Staff was helpful and kind. I support people's choices to wear or not wear one, but typically employees were not following mask mandates. In many of my visits to the facility, they would pass within inches of me with no mask at all. As a cancer patient, if I get sick, I can't get treatment. The reason I needed storage was to live with my mom who is immune suppressed, so we could isolate together. If employees don't want to wear masks, I would like them to do it between themselves, but not within inches of my personal space, as what often happened. When I pointed out the error, it was corrected. Then two weeks later, I got another letter that my account was unpaid. This is our third time using this location. The other 2 were excellent experiences. This time was not. We moved in at the start of pandemic and the customer service then was amazing. They helped my daughter during a stressful time. Exactly what I would expect. About 2 months in we encountered problems when we received a late notice on the unit which was set to autopay... according to our bank, Uhaul was attempting to process a payment with an incorrect zipcode so the bank was denying what looked like a fraudulent charge. My bank explained what Uhaul systems were doing wrong and how they could remedy the situation to receive payment. I called Uhaul and explained what they needed to do to fix it. I spent over two hours on hold Through multiple representatives and then was told their systems were down so they couldn’t do anything but to call back. This was the first day (one day late) but they agreed to wave the late fee. Someone from Uhaul called me later that night to say the fee was added back until the situation was resolved. I called the next day to make sure it was fixed and the (different) staff member was rude, insinuating dishonesty on my part, and claimed “unable to wave the late fee” because they had already done so once. So after spending over an hour on hold that day I had multiple late fees, disrespectful customer service, and no real resolution. Ironically when they fixed the zipcode in their system—the one USAA said was the issue and Uhaul personnel denied could possibly be the issue—my payment was magically able to be processed along with late fees. Clean safe facilities but unacceptable customer service. Would be difficult to recommend to other families of college students because of this level of disrespect.kristina r. | Overall Experience

Although I had a brief and negative conversation with an employee, who was less than friendly about me using the outside dumptser ( he threatened me and told me that dumping was a $100 fine). I then had a WONDERFUL and professional conversation with the General Manager, Josiah, who advised me that I could pay to use the dumpster, and I was HAPPY TO DO SO. Thank you Josiah for your higher level of professionalism and for explaining the policy to me like an adult, as opposed to the employee who talked to me like I dumping my house trash off at the closest dumpster.Irene B. | Overall Experience

Baylee was the best. There was a long line and she was the only one at the desk and was dealing with something that sounded really complicated for the one customer and it was clear others in line we’re getting aggravated/anxious. She kept her cool and worked diligently to fix the problem at hand and get to the next customer.
