The trailer brake did not seem to provide any assistance while towing my vehicle. I've rented at least 15 of these trailers over the past four years and have quite a bit of experience with the normal trailer brake operation. Other than that the equipment was fine. I noted a recent price increase as well as a surcharge requested if I wanted to use a debit card rather than credit. These are unfortunate changes as it lessened the customer experience, especially given I rent these trailers rather often.Brandon B.

Absolutely no signs on how to get around inside of the building. I was stuck for 20 minutes wandering around with my anxiety ranking up as I felt like I was trapped in a maze. I got the 15 feet truck. It made lot of noise when ever I tried to give acceleration. The sound was terrible , every one looked at me while I was on road. Poor wheel alignment and brake. Get a bigger location. When I picked up I had to drive to the back and turn around in a congested area with a trailer to get out. When I returned the trailer I could barely make it into the parking lot because the drop off line was crowding the entrance because there is not enough room at this location for all the equipment they have.Adam S.

Was very disappointed when I requested a trailer with a ramp, asked the person hooking up the trailer if it had a ramp, and found out the tailgate in the back of the trailer was not a ramp. Made it difficult to load the appliances that I had specifically rented the trailer for. Be better prepared when reservation are made. This was the worse Uhaul experience I have ever had. Took me a total of three hours to get my vehicle. Multiple trailers was connect and disconnected . Multiple vehicle contracts created that was processed through my account. The place where dropped off the uhaul is closed for the whole week so the vehicle could not be checked in which is preventing me from getting my adjustment and refunds. I had two contract under the sam card authorization both contracts had different gas marks which caused me to be billed for the gas when I returned the vehicle with the exact amount that I left with.Darrell T.

The dolley wasn't in the U-HAUL when we arrived. When we finally were able to talk to someone about it, they were out of utility dolleys so we were given a different kind, and it made the pickup process take a whole hour. Dropping off, we followed the mobile drop off instructions but there was no drop box for keys so we ended up having to get in the return line anyway. Overall not a good experience.Alexander E.

Great Uhaul Facility. I used the Uhaul Self serve app. To pick up & drop off my Uhaul 26ft Cargo Van rental. Upon returning the Rental Van using the Uhaul app. I was instructed to drop my Uhaul van key in the Lockbox to finalize my rental return checkout. There was not a Lockbox anywhete on the property to drop off the key inside. Spent 25 minutes at 3 a.m. trying to drop off the van key. Had to call the Uhaul 1800 number. Uhaul associate Philip noted in my Uhaul contract notes that I would be leaving the key inside the same box that I used to pickup my van with. The same lock code opened the box. Was another set of rental keys inside of box. But, I needed to leave my Van key in a safe & Secure drop off box. Please provide a actual lockbox for future late night vehicle returnees so we can all leave the Rental key to finalize our Uhaul vehicle return.GEORGE N.

No improvement necessary. I had a U-box delivered from California, had to coordinate getting a storage space here, a local truck to take some stuff with me, and moving help. Amy helped me and went way above and beyond. Helped coordinate all the activities at the site so I wasn't wasting time - and money with the moving helpers, and she called ahead as a follow-up to make sure I was set...and she wasn't even going to be working on the day I arrived. This reservation was made at the last minute to fulfill my original reservation #27314626 for a 5X8 AV at U-Haul Moving and Storage at Northwest Hwy. 9929 Harry Hines, Dallas, TX 75225. I made this reservation on Aug. 24 to pick up the trailer on Aug 26 @ 2:30 PM. After standing in line for 20 minutes I was informed that they did not have the trailer for me. The above reservation was then made and I went to this alternate location. The total delay and extra driving took me 2 hours. Questions: 1. Why was my original contract not honored? 2. Is it a location problem or a larger failure of the U-Haul system? 3. Why does it show "cancelled" when it was U-Haul's failure? I cannot review it under the original contract number. U-Haul needs to improve on communication. I originally ordered from the TX121 location but got sent a message, a day before, that there has been a change to my rental order while I was on flight to Dallas. By the time I got there. It was too late to find out what happened so I called early that morning and they explained I had to drive to another town to get my truck. I booked this truck over two weeks ago so the lady checked again and said they had the truck now so she rebooked it at that location on TX 121. We got there and waited an hour to only tell us that we had to go to another location to get the truck. Now what kinda of bull is that, "bad communication". I finally get to Houston to drop of my truck at the drop off location and they send me to another location to drop off cause they had too many trucks. I had never had such a hard time getting and returning a rental. One location said they had it but they didn't have it, then they say they have it but they really didn't what kind of bull is this. Making the customer run around back and forth. You guys need to get your shit together. Lost my future business!Joon K.

I arrived without my DL as I had forgotten it and couldn't use my passport. I was told I could use my paper ID so I went back home to get it. I recently got issued a TX license and it's a paper identification with DL number and my signature however upon arrival I was told by another attendant that I wouldn't use it because they need my old Marlyland one as well. I reported that my old one was confiscated by the department of motor vehicles as per Texas protocol however the guy insisted that I need to show a â€œreal DLâ€ and couldn't serve me. My paper ID was valid and could be used by law anywhere until I get the actual DL in the mail. I managed to get a friend and use his but I am still very upset that one attendant said it was ok and the other totally refused to accommodate me because â€œpeople forge papers all the timeâ€ This was my second time at the uhaul storage of Addison and I will never ever go back again or recommend anyone! I was switched to this location, which was a lot further from my home due to not having the trailer at my original location. Upon arrival, I was told no trailer was available. After changing my rental, the trailer electrical blew several fuses in my truck and I was told to take my truck to a repair shop. Turns out the trailer was causing my fuses to blow. I had to drop of the trailer at my destination due to mechanical issues or I was going to have to get divorced. Sorry but the experience was not something I'd like to experience again.Mike T.

When I made the reservation online, I put in my credit card information to charge. When picking up the vehicle, you the store then asked me for payment again and I paid them in cash. I called BEFORE returning the truck to clarify why I had to pay twice and was told I would receive a refund for my cash payment when I returned the truck because they could see my card on file, and then when I returned it, I was asked for more money in store, and received a receipt in my email stating my card had also been charged for the entire thing. Overall I am happy with the service and location. This UHAUL is always clean and well kept. However, I am a little disappointed with my visit to the office on 7/7/22. I went in because I was unable to make a payment online. Amy tried several times with no luck. So she told me that they would comp me for this month and she would work on getting the problem resolved. Shortly after leaving I received a call from Crystal requesting payment. I never asked for the pmt to be comped but was rather disappointed that the option was so quickly retracted. I made the payment with Crystal. Hoping I can make online payments moving forward. They answered our questions, made updates as per our request, explained how to find and enter our rented units, after hours entry process. I am giving this rating only to the GM Josiah and his staff at the Carrollton location for going beyond customer service to assist me. I will only communicate and contract my moving needs with his location from this point The initial online experience in my truck and moving needs were horrible and cost me more money and wasted time. Online customer service provided me with a moving company that was 2 kids in a car with no packing experience. They had no tools or supplies to secure my things. UHaul chose the wrong size truck for my long distance move and the worst packing experience ever! I had to secure another truck to move and store my additional furniture and secure a storage unit locally so that I did not abandon my things. I will now have to pay for a moving box to bring my things to Florida after paying $2000 initially. Unless it happened to not be working, you no longer need to swipe your access card in order to access your unit. This was the reason I returned to this location. Whether myself or a thief opened my unit without my access card, an alarm would sound. I don’t see what’s keeping my unit secure now. Anyone could bust the lock and the staff doesn’t seem like they would do anything if they suspected a robbery. There are cameras but without an alarm, who’s to say it’s not their unit? Is there protocol for anyone to check? Staff is friendly, but there is no sense of efficiency. I reserved my unit online to avoid hassle. It took nearly an hour from the time I showed up to get my unit because nothing was ready for me. I was asked what type of locker I wanted when I’d already selected an upper 5x5x6. When I arrived, it was a lower. I had to wait in line again to get the correct unit. When I arrived to the new one, the zip tie was still secured, so I had to leave again to get it off. Thankfully I hadn’t hired movers or it would have been a costly wait, but I did have family help who had to wait on me when they didn’t plan on the delay. Any service request usually takes a while, but I stuck with this facility because the security was worth it.
