There is a big difference between the price you advertise on the side if the van(19.95) and the final cost. This seems to be dishonest or at least misleading.LLOYD L.
Staff need to communicate more with customers. A better explanation of the extra charges would be helpful. The first time I went in for a quote, the person serving me gave me a quote that was way off from the actual cost. More training would definitely be worthwhile.Sherley C.

Worker was not friendly, he was to busy on his phone. Walked thru the parking lot to find the van assigned to me, after i finished a grueling check-in due to info that was not told to me when i booked, van was dirty and had paperwork from previous renter on the dashboard. When i brought it back, again worker not friendly he actually made me feel like i was bothering him and then had the nerve to ask me what the kms were on vehicle, isnt that your job? Spent 20 minutes attempting online pickup...to no avail. Vehicle had numerous undocumented scrapes and scratches and debris inside. Vehicle was underfilled, and then returned filled. Figured it cost me an extra $10 in fuel because of this. I complained, with photos to prove. They said they'd refund me, actually said that he had already, but..... didn't. the vehicle was in very poor condition, the check engine light was on and the van could not accelerate above 75 km, which is very dangerous when driving on a hwy. very disappointed in this. Pickup was basically clean but the inside of the windshield was dirty. When I was driving west into the sunset the view was very bad from the inside fog like dirt or grease on it. The entire inside windshield was like this. I had a very very difficult time to see the road and thought I would have to pull over. This has happened before when I have rented from both uhaul places in Hamilton area. The other place used a greasycdirty rag to clean the inside. This is a common problem when renting. Very dangerous, wish someone would look after this continuing problem. Hope you do something about it now.Rose M.
I rented a truck with blankets, and I was told there were no blankets. If I wanted blankets to go to another location, which I did but it was closed. I called back and they appologized and sent me to a third location. This made me over an hour late starting. A whole crew of people waiting for me. Then the truck only had 1/4 tank of gas, not enough to complete my task, so I filled up in the middle of the job, wasting more time for my crew. I would rather pay more to you, to save time for my crew and save me money. I will shop around and look for a company that provides service and not just the cheapest rate. Poor job Uhaul.Brian T.
was terrible from the start the truck they gave me was not what was not on the paperwork they changed the truck from the time I signed the paperwork and walked out side. they told me rhe truck would be brought to the front. rlthe guy just handed me rhe keys and walked off. did not say it was a different truck. or get me new paperwork or even walk around the truck to check. had garbage in side and when I drove away the dolly in the back was rolling around and not attached to the truck sides. the two people were rude and did not care about the customer at all. I have used uhaul a lot this was one of the worst experiences I have hadSteven K.

The truck I used was absolutely disgusting. No one had cleaned it prior to me using it. It smelled of cigarettes and everything (seats included) was covered in dirt and dust and the floors were still muddy (last person to use it was clearly doing outdoor work). My hands turned brown from using the steering wheel. Bed of the truck was also muddy and luckily I brought a moving blanket or all of my stuff would've gotten ruined. I mentioned this to the staff when I returned the truck and all they could say was sorry. unfortunately it was the only pickup they had available for use at the time and I was in a rush to move my things otherwise I would've requested a new truck to useKatrina C.

Because of my particular situation, upon returning the equipment, the sales person was very rude, wouldn't help me transfer my belongings from the trailer to the UHaul (which were destroyed from the water damage caused from my vehicle 'suspiciously breaking down' and me having to wait sooo long for the Part to be mailed to the mechanic for repair, then he couldn't fix it because he did not have the equipment to do so. Despite having to have to go to Ganohkwasra Family Assault Support Services in Ohsweken to wait for my vehicle, then to be transferred to and repaired at Brantford Chrysler--which they wanted even more money, that I did not have. The nicer gentleman gave me a promissory note to pay within four days, which I did forward to Indigenous Victims Services located on Six Nations Reserve and now my O.W. Worker, Donna Pinnance has been made aware that I need help financially to cover the horrific costs of the Uhaul trailer that I picked up April 30, 2021 at the Burlington Location. I surely did not expect to find a used condom on the ground at the back of the building where I was unloading/transferring my damaged belongs, after all the horrible events that I went through. Trailer was clean, however the tires were worn down and we had a rear tire blow while driving on a highway. We were advised that the front tire should be changed soon as well as it too was worn down. Perhaps more attention should be given to state of tires, especially for longer trips which ours was known to be. The blown tire resulted in 2 hrs. added to our trip. Fortunately we were not hurt, nor was there any damage to the trailer or the highway.Peter N.

My experience was great until I emptied my unit I called to get information and was told that I did not wait till the end of my pay period and my account would be adjusted and pro rated for the time I used. However when I tried to settle my account I was told that customers have been told that but it was not what was on his computer and he would look into it and get back to me As of today I have heard nothing and I have not received a credit Can you please rectify? The staff didn't seem to care. Along with the truck I rented a furniture dolly. Was greeted with - Don't have one, it's first come first serve but you can buy one. Very poor way to manage a reservation and the staff was indifferent. If there is an option I would choose it over UHaul.Kevin O.

Staff tried to lie and say or storage booking didn't exist and that all the storage units were occupied. After minutes of explaining we indeed did book, randomly there was a unit available for us... I have been repeatedly overcharged for my storage unit from the beginning of my account use until after I moved out. The first month promotion from Uhaul was never honoured. I have made numerous attempts to contact the Aldershot location, by phone and email and my calls were never returned over the whole 5 month period. I even waited on hold for an hour to contact Uhaul central Customer Service, they tried to get in touch with the Aldershot location, and couldn’t get a reply by phone, then they sent an email to the location, and still the Aldershot location didn’t reply to the message from Head Office Customer Service. The Aldershot location continues to charge me even after I moved out, despite my numerous emails advising them that I’d be moving out, and to stop charging me. They placed a lock on my unit, and never removed it even after I paid excessive extra charges. The lock remained in my unit long after my account was fully paid, which prevented me from moving out earlier resulting in several additional months of unnecessary storage costs. When I had paid for and arranged a moving service to move out of my storage unit, I couldn’t access my storage unit for the moving company because the Aldershot still had a lock on my storage unit. This is the worst predatory business practices I have ever seen, especially during the pandemic, and with such a large International Company like Uhaul, this is completely unacceptable. Customers of Uhaul at the Aldershot location have been leaving very Negative Reviews of the terrible customer service and overcharges at Uhaul at Aldershot. I would like Uhaul Head Office to assist me with providing a refund for all of the amounts that have been Overcharged on my account by Uhaul Aldershot. Please have Uhaul Head Office contact me to resolve the unethical business practices of the Uhaul Aldershot location and their numerous overcharges on my account.
