My experience was great until I emptied my unit I called to get information and was told that I did not wait till the end of my pay period and my account would be adjusted and pro rated for the time I used. However when I tried to settle my account I was told that customers have been told that but it was not what was on his computer and he would look into it and get back to me As of today I have heard nothing and I have not received a credit Can you please rectify? The staff didn't seem to care. Along with the truck I rented a furniture dolly. Was greeted with - Don't have one, it's first come first serve but you can buy one. Very poor way to manage a reservation and the staff was indifferent. If there is an option I would choose it over UHaul.Kevin O.

Close this location. The customer service was terrible. I didn't get a furniture dolly I reserved and paid for and the van only had a quarter tank of gas. This was the worst service I have ever received. I'm going to rate this a 1 out of 10.Victoria B.

Turned the truck on, the Replace Engine Oil light comes on, took a wipe and rubbed the steering wheel and 2 wipes were brown when done, and the alignment on the van is off, had to pull steering wheel to left to go straight.ROBERTJOHN H.

Staff tried to lie and say or storage booking didn't exist and that all the storage units were occupied. After minutes of explaining we indeed did book, randomly there was a unit available for us... I was billed $235 after using the truck for 2 hours and doing less than 100 kms. Manager told me I put over 280s and returned the truck with only half a tank. Called the location immediately following the over charge, the manager still hasn't gotten back to me.Tyler B.

Everything about the rental experience was smooth. I was particularly impressed with my ability to make changes to my reservation right up to 12hours before picking up my rental van. I thought pricing and agreements were very reasonable. To improve experience, you could demonstrate appropriate mask wearing - both nose and mouth covered. One employee entered the building prior to their shift without a mask on at all. Another wore a buff style mask which has been shown to be much less affective than other face covering options. You could also make public what you are doing to sanitize vehicles between users at this time. Thank you.Holly H.

The location is fine, your policies are les them desirable, prices are over estimated compared to quality and services also flexibility in service is in dire need of improvement. The instructions on how to return your truck said to sign in, then go to the Return My Truck button. However, once signed in, there was no such button to be found. Also, when I said I would be returning the truck at 8:30 on Sunday, no-one at the location said they would be closed then. So, I then tried to return online, with the frustrating experience of the website noted above.Thomas F.

I showed up on a Friday afternoon between 3-4pm wanting to rent a 15' Truck with a ramp for the Saturday. I think there was a huge communication barrier as I left this location without a truck or a reservation for Saturday, believing the truck I needed was not available. I went home and booked the truck online only to find out the truck was at the location I was just at. My virtual experience with U-Haul was perfect... in person, not so much!!!MARKD L.

For a one day (8 hrs) rental it ended costing me $225.00 as I had $155 in mileage fees because I ended having to drive 140 miles instead of the 75 originally planned. $1.11 mile / 0.69 km is too high in my opinion for longer hauls. My thoughts would be perhaps use that rate up to a threshold distance and anything beyond that drop the rate of the renter plans on 100+ Km distance as that might entice more renters for longer day trips. Overall happy with the service at this location just wish the advisor had a few more options to maybe offer me at time of rental then just the standard uhaul plan.Jeff H.

The return process should have been explained at the initial rental. It would have saved me 20 minutes of waiting. The truck was clean, full of gas and no mechanical issues during the move. A back-up camera would be a great feature to help novice truck drivers like me.Brian D.

We checked in online before arriving. It made absolutely no difference to the time to get the equipment. It took 30 minutes to actually get served and fully check out with the equipment. Checking in beforehand took a lot of time in advance and made no difference in the end. Not sure I would take the time to do the online checkin in advance next time.Lynne K.

I have been repeatedly overcharged for my storage unit from the beginning of my account use until after I moved out. The first month promotion from Uhaul was never honoured. I have made numerous attempts to contact the Aldershot location, by phone and email and my calls were never returned over the whole 5 month period. I even waited on hold for an hour to contact Uhaul central Customer Service, they tried to get in touch with the Aldershot location, and couldn’t get a reply by phone, then they sent an email to the location, and still the Aldershot location didn’t reply to the message from Head Office Customer Service. The Aldershot location continues to charge me even after I moved out, despite my numerous emails advising them that I’d be moving out, and to stop charging me. They placed a lock on my unit, and never removed it even after I paid excessive extra charges. The lock remained in my unit long after my account was fully paid, which prevented me from moving out earlier resulting in several additional months of unnecessary storage costs. When I had paid for and arranged a moving service to move out of my storage unit, I couldn’t access my storage unit for the moving company because the Aldershot still had a lock on my storage unit. This is the worst predatory business practices I have ever seen, especially during the pandemic, and with such a large International Company like Uhaul, this is completely unacceptable. Customers of Uhaul at the Aldershot location have been leaving very Negative Reviews of the terrible customer service and overcharges at Uhaul at Aldershot. I would like Uhaul Head Office to assist me with providing a refund for all of the amounts that have been Overcharged on my account by Uhaul Aldershot. Please have Uhaul Head Office contact me to resolve the unethical business practices of the Uhaul Aldershot location and their numerous overcharges on my account.
