I want to thank the staff from this location for understanding and how sufficient everything wise from beginning to the end. I checked in at the front desk the guy came out side with me unhooked the trailer and said “when our computers are back up, I’ll check it in and you will only be charged one day”. To my surprise I received a receipt that night for two days of rental and a time stamp of check in well past the time I actually checked it in.

FRANCIS LNeither the box van nor the cab had been swept clean. The cab fan did not blow much air, which was uncomfortable on a hot day. The equipment was serviceable. Staff members were helpful, professional, and prompt. Thank you for the use of your truck.

We wanted to drop it off at our destination but was told that we needed to return it to where we pick it up, making the mileage double over what was needed and the price per mile was over priced. Fuel was lower than what is required at pick up, there was a fuel allowance but felt like it was very low. Cab smelled of mildew.

CALEB NI went in the pick up the van and there wasn't anyone at the counter. I waited 5 minutes then heard talking down the hall. I yelled, "Hello" but there wasn't a response. I waited a five more minutes and said it again. After another 5 minutes, I walked down the hall and saw someone in the office. I asked if there's anyone working at the front counter. He stated, in a monotone voice as if he was aggravated I interrupted him, "Yeah me, I'll be there in a minute." Well, 5 more minutes went by before he came out to assist. His name is Olin or Ollie or something like that. When I dropped off the van, he eventually came out and spoke to me in that same tone. I guess that's his natural tone, but it's not someone I would put in the front if I ran the store.
BRENT LI had to catch a bus all the way to Anchorage, and pay $1 a mile extra in order to use a Uhaul to make a move from Wasilla to Solditna, while there were no trucks available at any of 3 locations in Wasilla.
LEON SI didn’t recommend UHaul storage because the unit didn’t have lights. We had to use our phones to see what we were doing.

NANCY R | Overall ExperienceYou did not have the equipment i needed for my first rental so i had to delay my move a week, then I got a van with bad brakes and a driver's side mirror that moved around constantly making it difficult and unsafe to drive. On top of that, after returning it within the 24 hour window, I got billed for two rental days and now have to dispute the charges. Probably my worst Uhaul experience.
MICHAEL FYour representative did not seem to know how to check out equipment. For the customer in front of me she needed to continually call the manager and ask questions. When I returned the vehicle the return guy was working on a personal vehicle and did not even acknowledge me. I asked him what to do with the vehicle and he said just leave the keys in the front seat.

dalarie p | Overall ExperienceBefore picking up the truck and car transport, I was informed that someone will be able to help guide me through the process of placing the car transport on the truck. While trying to pick up on the Old Seward Highway in Anchorage - the worker did not know how to put the car transport on the truck. He told me I will have to do it myself. He then told me to drive in the back with the rest and grab one. I drove in the back and no car transport was there. I went back inside to inform them. They then told me that they don’t have any on the lot. I called the manager- he informed me that there’s one on the lot, but the tire was damaged and needed replacing. I was told to come the next day (our moving day) at 7am. At 8am, I was finally able to get the car transport onto the truck. I was not told any information about the truck or car transport. Just the key to the truck and was told to leave as much gas as I found it.
Joseph YThere was a defect with the driver's side door that we were unable to get fixed until the day that the U-Haul was returned. For the last day of our journey we had to hold the door closed with bungee cords.

GARY BI waited inside the store to rent a truck for 25 minutes before an employee/associate entered the building. There was a line of us just standing there waiting for someone to show up. The staff was lazy slow and had droopy sad faces. It's not that I am angry, but it was depressing.

luke dRental truck was in the back lot. Instructions were to pre trip it then get the key. Which made us walk into the back lot in the rain and then back to the front to get the key and then back to the truck after the key. All employees were hanging out outside and watched us walk in. We had to stand there waiting until they decided to come in to help. The drivers side of the truck was parked against the fence which made it impossible to even reach the door handle and then the steering wheel was lowered and the seat forward so a the driver had trouble getting in the drivers seat at all. Truck steering wheel was pointed to the left when driving straight and there was a huge shake from the front end while driving. As well, our belongings got soaked from the rain as the roof leaks. Very poor experience and would not reccomend ever.

S TThe Security to your outside storage units is terrible and the assistance that’s needed from your customer service agents. They’re not allowed to leave their desk. They can’t assist you with anything outside of the desk. I just think that your Security should be warm up. I’ve had it change the locks and things have been broken into, while my stored at your facility, I had the worst time with that storage unit
TIFFANY T | Overall ExperienceI thought the setting up process was FABULOUS. My gripe is that the hours were limited. I went yesterday at 8:30 a.m. and saw that it didn't open until 9:00. I came back at 9:00 and it still wasn't open Waited and eventually walked around to the office and the man said that he couldn't open it because he was helping other patrons in the office. I wasn't the only one waiting. It was only when the customer he was helping said he would wait that the man went and opened the storage doors. This happened at 9:30 a.m. It doesn't make sense that opening these doors isn't part of the early morning process. It didn't take him long at all to do it.

This unexpected journey took an extra two days, requiring me to pay for a hotel and spend more on fuel than planned. When I arrived at the first location, they had a 26-foot truck but it was missing a battery and they had lost the keys. They then sent me across town to another location where I had to rush to get a truck before they closed. The lady helping me was condescending and blamed me for making a last-minute reservation, even though I had booked six months in advance. Her attitude changed when I showed her my reservation.They quickly closed up shop after handing me a damaged truck and trailer. I tried to document the damage through their app, but it wouldn't let me upload photos, so I saved them just in case. During my journey, I got a flat tire on the trailer in a large city. Instead of arranging a nearby replacement, U-Haul contracted a service 2.5 hours away, forcing us to stay overnight and change our reservations along the way.To make matters worse, U-Haul's traffic department changed my return destination to the original pickup location, causing further inconvenience as I had to find a new return spot. When I finally returned the truck to the location at 3100 Barksdale Blvd in Louisiana, the entrance was blocked by two other trucks, making it difficult to maneuver. The location was understaffed, and the lady working there was extremely rude and dismissive when I asked for a receipt, saying she was too busy and would email it to me.This was an extremely stressful and disappointing experience with U-Haul. No matter how much more expensive other companies might be, I will choose anything other than U-Haul for my next move. If I could give them less than one star, I would. Avoid U-Haul at all costs!

I requested that because this was a mistake that was made by U-Haul that the price of my original reservation should be honored. The attendant said he would speak to his manager but I never heard anything back. When my bill came due after a month it was clear that I was not accommodated for the inconvenience of my reservation not being honored. I would not recommend this facility as it seems that they upsell people rather than honor reservations.
