The customer service is excellent. 4 stars rather than 5 because I ordered packing supplies which I was charged for but never received. I assumed they would be in the storage boxes which had the complimentary packing blankets but not the packing supplies I paid for. After reading the invoice I learned that I was expected to pick them up which makes no sense especially considering the distance. Also the boxes arrived late, however that was really out of everyone's hands due to the weather, breakdowns and the pandemic.

I really have no suggest to give for improvements. I was extremely happy with the customer service from when I picked up the vehicle to when I dropped the truck off. Everything went smoothly! The van was clean and in great running condition. The staff was helpful and courteous. Tried the mobile app but even though my phone location was turned on and I followed the U- Haul site instructions was unsuccessful. Since I was picking up and dropping off during business hours, had the option of having staff assist me.

I had an issue that when I returned the vehicle I was charged for extra days. The complexity of the transaction caused this to occur. I called the store, talked with Derrick and he got the manager Dan to look at the transaction and Dan refunded the mistake with no problem. Would rent a vehicle from this location again.

We were charged for insurance after telling then no at the time of reservation and at the pick ups… then they refused to return our money at the store or at the customer service number that has a Waite of over an hour every time I called until we returned the rental.. when returning the rental they said they would refund our money for the insurance we did not want or ask for them they never did. Overall Uhaul exhibited behavior of a corrupt money Racket.

Wade McLaughlin is a horrible representative of U-Haul. Threatening, intimidating and unprofessional. When working with one of the biggest corporations in the US one would think he would act right. Not only did he do injustice by USPS but talking with my collaborates from FEDEX and UPS they feel the exact same! Even locations that rent out the U-Hauls express their dislike with Wade and his manner. U-Haul should look into this. He has now lost a major portion of revenue for U-Haul as USPS will not be working with them again in this area.

We had multiple problems with the truck. We had to turn it in early because we could not continue to drive it. Roadside assistance was not really helpful, told us it was normal over the phone. Drop off location confirmed the problems when they checked the truck. It should not be used, and they are sending it to service. We couldn't complete our move.

The only thing is when we got all our items out of the unit, I went to the front, told them the unit was empty and cleaned out. That was on December 3rd, 2021. A worker was going to go and check it out, I ask if I should stay, I was told I didn’t have to that the unit will be looked at and a email sent to me stating everything looked good. I didn’t get a email, and they called on Dec. 14th stating that they didn’t know we moved out. So someone didn’t do their job that day, 3rd of December.

Better communications with clients. My original contract/delivery was inadvertently canceled by your system and was only caught by me because I was having trouble with the website and called to check the status. Because I was moving from a different state it was hard for your employees to figure out my orginal contract, had to create another contract in order for my containers to be delivered. Then my delivery date got pushed too far out and then they wanted to charge me for another month rental. After multiple phone calls I got my delivery and problem with my account rectified. It just became a headache and wish it was more organized. I will have trouble recommending this service for anyone moving from a different state. I also just want to add that every employee I spoke with/met was very helpful and very willing to look into my situation.

When I checked in, I mentioned making a change to the drop off location which I had received an email about doing and being able to drop the price considerably while helping uhaul have their units in a more suitable location. He seemed to acknowledge my request. When I received the printed contract, there was no change. When I asked about it, he told me to just call the 800 number when it came time to drop it off and they could make the change. I called the number and they told me they would have to rerun the whole contract to make the change and give any kind of refund. I was frustrated with the situation, desiring to help your company, but meeting with much hassle in the process. My wife had made the reservation, and I do not do much of the online things. I want you to be aware that not everyone deals best in online platforms, but that the counter people need to be attentively listening to the requests of the clients to save headache for both the company and the client's sake. Overall it was a good experience, it could have been better for both parties had the clerk made the change in the issuing of the contract.

When you go to fill up the vehicle, make sure you are very keen on watching how much fuel you are putting in. If you don't fill it to where you got it, they charge you an arm and a leg. But, if you get side tracked and WAY overfill it, that is on you. Heads they win, tails you lose.

The 10 ft truck I rented had a leak in the cab. When I picked it up, the inside of the windshield was soaked. It rained when I had it and there were puddles inside. The windows were closed.

Rental process and return was handled without any problems. My only complaint is the tiny 10 ft van, barely loaded with furniture, consumed over 6 gallons of gas in 44 miles used and the truck was driven with trying to save fuel in mind. Seems they could provide trucks with better fuel efficiency.

You need to get an IT person to clear up problems with the program. It makes you think storage is available and it is not. Your staff is great but without proper equipment they are going to get bad things said about the company. They realy helped me with my dilemma.h

My reservation did not actually hold a storage unit or a truck. I understand this is a issue with the national uhaul system but the staff was not helpful in resolving this issue, causing hours long delays in my moving day plus extra expense. The facility bathroom was disgusting and I did not have access to the building or my unit and this was not resolved until after the office closed for the day. I reported the issue to upper management of the company and it was only then that anything changed. You can do better!
