Accept VALID state-issued temporary “paper” licenses. If I can drive my car with it I should be able to drive a moving truck. Makes no sense. I had a lot of trouble making it work without being able to drive.

Andrew LUHaul doesn't pay enough attention to its cargo trailers. The first one, which I rented in Norton, MA, had zero taillights and 1/4 brake/ turn lights functioning. They called ahead to Attleboro, to move my reservation to your location. The manager there personally ran me through a test (hazards, turn signals, brake) to make sure its lights were good. So I left for MN. Five different semis flashed their headlights at me from the rear, or honked at me after night fell. Upon personally inspecting the setup, the new trailer, having passed inspection by your staff, had zero functionality in the bottom pair of lights, and turn/ brake functionality ONLY, in the top pair of lights. No tail lights at all. Finally I drop off the trailer in Minneapolis. I hand the fellow a written list of things to correct about the trailer. He says he can probably fix it right away, but is baffled by how to remove the lights for service. I have to show him. He says he is not used to the old-school lights. From all this I infer that UHaul staff nationwide test or interact physically with their trailer lighting systems so seldom that they are not even solid on how to do it. Additionally, about half the floor tie-down rings are missing, making it very challenging to secure our load. This could be fixed with an electric drill and screws. Any Iowa farm boy could put in a new ring in three minutes. The surge brake worked, and came in handy. However it needs some kind of adjustment. Every ripple in the road caused five oscillations where the trailer jerked the van back, then rammed it from the rear, repeatedly. It nearly made us carsick. I shudder to think how that would have worked in snow. I wish you the best in your efforts to improve your maintenance operation.

LIONEL CYou should post a sign in your door for after hours returns. Instruct customers to go to U-Haul.com and follow instructions on the website for their drop offs. It would save them time and confusion. I saw other customers with the same problem when I was returning a rental truck. Everything else was great.
Jerome PFor years we have used a Budget van for college move in and out - never again! We are officially hooked on U-haul! My issue with the location was that I went through the whole check in on the app, got my vehicle- I was ready to roll - just needed my keys. Went I went inside there was no one to be found. We waited about 20 minutes for someone to grab the keys from the hook. Kind of frustrating, and delayed our trip. We discovered they were helping someone with a trailer hitch in the back - not sure how that process can be better for customers and employees. The drop off was easy! We will definitely be back in August for college move in!!

Heather HThe customer interaction was great. However, you advertise a 20.00 rental fee and I end up paying over 120 for several hours. Then when I arrive to drop off the truck, I had to pay an additional 25 dollars due to more mileage. That was an unpleasant surprise and could have been communicated more clearly to set the correct expectations.

I took the person word (who was very good otherwise) and did not notice it till I went to get gas. I did call but haven’t received a call back from manager yet. I know it only amounts in ~$5 but would of liked the fact that the vehicle should be gassed up to 1/4 tank when picking it up

SEAN NU-Haul already has my valid driver’s license on file, so it does not make sense that I am being asked to provide someone else’s information for additional verification. This requirement feels unnecessary and inconvenient, especially since all of my personal identification has already been submitted.

Try another location unless this is your only option. Storage unit itself was as described, and dusty, but otherwise clean. For the price of the unit though, and the overall customer service experience I would recommend going somewhere else.
