Rules/ charges beyond the $19.95 p/u charge ( ie protection coverage/ if return unclean extra charge (we always return clean anyway) , etc., were not explained clearly. General manager seemed annoyed with us asking questions . It was, afterall, our first time renting from this uhaul. It was an average experience, but will go back.

My reservation was for north Attleboro. An hour before pick up I was told my truck was actually not available at that location even though the reservation was made weeks in advance. Of courss, I did not check my email and arrived at the reserved location. It took me 1.5 hours just to get my rental because of this change in location and lack of a timely notification which caused a major delay in my move. Had U-Haul called me, it would have saved me time.

Both of the gentlemen who helped me, Armando at North Attleboro U-hual and the one at Attleboro, whose name I didn't get, were super. They deserve applause for being friendly and helpful on a day when both places were very busy. Armando took the initiative to call the Attleboro location and have them hold the trailer I needed when the one he had wasn't correct for my needs. Thanks guys, I appreciate your efforts.

When a trailer is advertised as 6x12 w/ ramp and the ramp is substantially narrower than 6’ wide, your company should mark that width on the trailer and even be clearer in the website, this trailer was of no use to me. One would think a ramp means something 6’ wide might need to go up the ramp.

I rented a pickup truck to tow a travel trailer, I explained what I needed. When I brought it home the wire connection did not match my trailer. I asked to change trucks and I was told I had to pay for both trucks. I explained what connection I needed and I asked if it was the same as the 10' truck he said yes, it was not. He was not in a good mood and took it out on me. He also said DO NOT call uhaul as they will side with him. I will use other places in the future.

The person who took my reservation was rude! When we arrived to pick up the truck and thought it was a go we realized that a 10' truck didn't have a ramp! The gentlemen explains we needed to get the 15' truck in order to have a ramp and it was simple to change. Which it was but the problem was that the 10' truck had a full tank of gas which he explained that it needed to be full when we returned it. Unfortunately when we switched to a 15' truck it was 3/4 full and we understood that the truck needed to be full upon returning as he had told prior for the other truck. When my husband filling the truck and was done he said that there was no way we used over 9 gallons of gas for less than 25 miles of traveling. We brought the receipt in when returning the truck and the manager told us that he could not give us credit for the fuel! We both think that after paying for the rental that the company should get $24 of free fuel!

I was given a quote by customer service & guaranteed the truck & price way in advance with my reservation, an in-town reservation. Then when I got there to pick up my truck the day of, the manager changed the price and charged me for 1-way. At that point in time I had no option but to pay more money even though it was completely unfair. I complained to him & he just said "sorry it's too bad they told you that, they were wrong. Do you still want the truck or not?" Then upon return, I made sure the level of fuel was exactly the same as when I received it, 1/4 tank. I even filled it up at the gas station right next door, so no gas would be used up while driving to the location. Upon arrival, the manager stated "I remember you" & then went to go check the truck. Upon entering the cab he immediately complained that the gas gauge wasn't completely covering the 1/4 tank mark. I advised him that's exactly where the gauge was when I got it. He then said it needed to be at exactly 1/4 mark or I will be charged. So again I went next door & put in another $2. Upon returning to the parking lot, he took his time, walking very slowly to & from the truck. I advised him that the return had to be in the system before 6:31pm or I would get charged for an additional day. I reminded him that I originally arrived at the location at 6:10pm to give myself enough time to return it. He stated that it was not his problem & that I should've returned it earlier. That is enough to leave a bad taste in my mouth as to where I won't return & this will be a story I will share with all my friends through social media & over dinner.

The staff member in charge, Jordan King, was unfriendly and not helpful in explaining things. I did not elect insurance coverage when I reserved the truck online, but somehow insurance coverage was snuck into my payment at the location and I was told it could not be refunded. Because he was in a bad mood and didn’t want to talk to the customers, it was misleading. He told me to swipe my card and accept the payment. I thought I was accepting the terms of the rental, and I didn’t know coverage had been snuck into the payment. I never had issues at this location in the past until now.

Made a reservation online and paid. They called and told me I had to pickup my rental 8 miles away at a different location and I live right next to where I booked. Ray refused to have someone bring the trailer to the location I booked. No customer service, cost me hours of travel time with traffic. Never again, Home Depot has better trailers for same price!
