The customer service was nice and helpful of providing what we needed.
WILLIAM HDuring this visit the staff was very friendly and hospitable, and it was an enjoyable experience. However, having the right equipment makes all the difference when moving furniture, especially if by yourself. This is the second time the furniture dolly I reserved in advance was not available when I arrived to pick up the truck. The impact of that both times has resulted in me being charged more because I needed to keep the truck longer because the move takes longer without the furniture dolly. Also, charges run up until the time the equipment is returned, yet the charges start from the time of the reservation. For example, if the reservation is at 10 a.m. but it took 20+ minutes or so to complete the check out and provide you with the equipment, the reservation charges are still starting at 10 a.m., and not at the time the equipment was released to you. Again, the service and staff were friendly, and I do recommend this location. The issues I noted are not unique to this location but common across U-haul locations.
SUMMER CThe only suggestion would be to note that all keys are picked up inside and not through the APP. Picking it up with the App was confusing.

DEAN VWhen I dropped off the trailer in Clarksville, TN, the attendant said two of the tires were low and she had to put a lot of air in them. Need to make sure all tires are full of air when customer gets trailer initially.

TONY BThis isn't specific to this U-haul location, but is general feedback about renting with U-Haul. First and most important. I like renting with U-haul because I have had a reliable experience and making reservations is easy online. I have tried getting quotes from other places and you have to wait for a quote to be emailed or suddenly lots of businesses are calling you -- not what you want when you already have the stress of moving. So, thank you for that! Consistent every time. Two things U-haul does not offer that I wish it did, and which causes me to go through the hassle of the above occasionally. 1) I want the option to rent a smaller vehicle for long distance that uhaul only provides for local moves. 2) I want a discount if I return the equipment early. I had a 5-day trip and received notifications starting on the third day to return the equipment. I am paying for it for 5 days so why should I return it as quick as possible? 3) I want a frequent use discount. I really like Uhaul and would love some kind of points system, however small, to keep me coming back.

HELEN MI want to say that Regina Smith in UHaul customer service (Alabama scheduling center) was outstanding. By far the best customer service I have experienced with UHaul or any company for that matter. Truly above and beyond! Thank you Regina for making this rental experience terrific!

David MCheck the tire pressure before sending the equipment out. The equipment said the tire pressure was supposed to be 65 PSI. When we checked it before driving 3 hours away, the pressure was 55 on one side and 60 on the other.

ALEXANDER REvery time I rent a truck from Uhaul I never receive the vehicle I rent. I was just moving dining room furniture, so I rented the small 10 FT truck. When I arrived at the rental location, I was told they did not have the 10FT truck, but had a 20 FT they would rent me for the same price. I was stuck with a much larger truck than I needed. Not only did it burn more fuel the truck only had a 1/4 of a tank of gas when I picked it up. First thing I had to do was go place fuel in the truck. UHAUL needs to work on their customer service. If I can find another place to rent for my next rental need I will be going anywhere but UHAUL. John Crittenden
JOHN CThe Original place that I had reserved it in Opelika. I went there on the day to pick up the trailer , and called and went to voicemail, but the mailbox was full, 2000 Columbus Pkwy, Opelika, AL 36804 +13347058847 When I was there I did not even see the trailer that I had reserved, Someone needs to investigate the one on Columbus Parkway to find out what is going on there. That place was not a good place to represent U-Haul. so I called the one in Auburn, and they hooked us right up with the trailer. They were super awesome there in Auburn

DONALD EReturned my rental proper gas and clean however they didn’t check in my appliance dolly and moving pads that was in the back of the truck so I didn’t get the deposit back on them yet. There was technically 2 rental contracts for that truck bc I had to go to 2 different locations to complete the rental one place for the truck and one place for the appliance dolly and moving pads

Margaret TI was extremely disappointed with the two different locations regarding truck and auto transport pick-up, but I understand the logistics. Unfortunately, I had to hook up the auto transport on my own and luckily I’m familiar with the mechanics of how to attach. I was told they tried to call me, which I had no proof of receiving so they cancelled my reservation. I had to reschedule the reservation to receive auto transport. Unfortunately, with the cancellation I was told that I had to hook auto transport on my own because it was now to late for them to come out. This was the 300 Columbus Pkwy Ste F location.

NICKY TAt pickup there wasn’t two dollies as I needed. I ended up having to buy one which caused delay. Upon return was surprised to be charged an additional day when I was told verbally that returning at 3:30 was fine. Also at pickup it was not a completely full tank yet I did not receive any credit for returning it with a full tank. Finally, the truck needs service. Some of my contents were damaged because the truck makes a strong jerking back and forth upon acceleration. I did not feel comfortable driving it under those circumstances.

SAMUEL WThe truck was clean but maintenance was questionable. The brakes were a bit mushy. And at over 200,000 miles I can understand why we were limited to a 50 mile radius. Additionally, the back needed some air freshener — it had a definite essence to it. But overall, a good experience, great customer experience and I do recommend this location to friends.
LINDA BKimber was very helpful and pleasant. This was actually our second choice for a drop-off location as when we arrived at the first one that we chose, it wasn't there! Apparently it had closed some time ago and nobody had updated the computer system. Please remove: Head Turner Classics at 4259 Lee Rd 137, Auburn, AL from available locations.
JOHN MAs stated above, I had to drive 30 miles to pick up the trailer. At that location, they told me I would be returning it to the place where I originally rented it, 1 mile from my house. When I returned it there they said that since I didn’t return it where I picked it up it’s considered a one-way rental and the price was going to be jacked up. Thankfully, this location was very helpful at straightening it all out. I just wish U-Haul would warn you when you schedule a rental that you may be doing them a favor by picking up somewhere far from where you rented it. This is the second time it’s happened to me so I guess it’s the way they do things

Kimberly A | Overall ExperienceMost unorganized and unprofessionally run business I’ve ever seen. They rented us a storage unit, then after charging us told us that none were available. Instead of refunding us, they emptied someone else’s belongings out of a unit and told us we could have it. We put our belongings in, then realized there was no way to lock it because the previous renters lock was still on it (still not sure how it was opened). We were already a few hours behind at that point so we believed them when 2, yes, 2 employees told us they would replace it with our lock as soon as they had the other cut off. A month later, we return to find that the unit had been unsecured the entire time. Thankfully everything was still inside, so no damage done. Also, we only rented for 30 days, but they automatically charged me for another 30 the day we emptied the unit. I would never recommend this business and cannot believe anyone would use them a second time
