This location didn't have parts for a hitch we had scheduled to be installed weeks prior. My husband suspects the part was never ordered. We flew in from out of state to have hitch installed on daughters car so we could move her from graduate school to her new job. We had everything arranged on a tight schedule having hitched installed on the 27th at noon, pick up trailer at 4 , load trailer evening if 27 & 28th to be out by 3pm on the 28th. Not having parts to instal hitch and not being informed until we arrived put us in a very difficult position. My husband had to drive back to Texas in our daughters car to get his truck and drive back to pull trailer back the next day- completely unacceptable. No one took responsibility for the mistake or offered any help except to say sorry- it was so frustrating!Rex R.

Move out Day at Auburn from Apartment scheduled truck over 3 months in advance. When tried to verify everything good to go 2 weeks in advance was told would know know until the day you go to the site to pick up your truck if you actually had one. We live 4 hours round trip so we had to get someone in the area to go on site and verify there was a truck. When we went to pick up the computer system was down and we were told only way to get a truck was to sign out on line. The on line portion was not working and was also telling us there were no trucks available. Thankfully the computer system came up and we we did get the truck 2 hours later than scheduled.Kenneth O.

My experience was good. I was told "you're one of the lucky ones". The two in front of me had reservations, yet were told the truck they reserved was not available. Could management not have at least called them.ahead of time so they could make other plans? I will not use u-haul ever again because of this. This was move out day in a college town. U-haul should have been better prepared and not left these people stranded.Christina D.

I reserved a 15' truck WEEKS in advance and at 7:30 the night before I was supposed to pick it up I got a text saying the truck wasn't available. Although I got a trailer, it was significantly smaller than the truck I reserved and it made my moving experience so, so, so much more difficult. What should've taken 2 hours ended up taking about 6. If they would have given me a heads up that they didn't have any trucks I could have gotten a truck the size I needed from anywhere else but couldn't with such short notice. Not to mention they had 10 trucks parked in the back of the store that were there from the time I picked up my trailer to the time I dropped it off â€” but apparently I couldn't use one of those even though I had one reserved very far in advance.ALLIE B.

I tried the online experience and it was very difficult. no explanations about scanning 2 forms of ID as part of the original online booking. The drivers license was easy enough, but why require a second ID (like a passport) for the online check-in?!?!?!?!? Especially when it is not required for in person check in. The onsite staff were great. I wasted 15 min trying to do the online check in. VERY DISAPPOINTED with the online design, requirement, and response. VERY happy with onsite staff!THOMAS P.

Guarantee stinks - we had to drive from Montgomery to Auburn to pick up truck as the Montgomery location did not have the truck as promised. The boulevard had several trucks but they were corporate trucks and unable to leave Montgomery. Uhaul should have been out the time, gas and money to bring a truck to Montgomery for their customer as promised. Very poor customer service. When we got to auburn the guy said we were very lucky that they had the truck. Told by several locations that Uhaul doesn't care to improve - it is what it is and no one at corporate cares when I asked if they could provide feedback to corporate. They rentor spent over two hours total on hold and speaking with representatives.LARRY B.

U-Haul performance was a DISASTER - only bright spot was Meagan at 1301 Opelika road who salvaged things to extent I could partially complete planned move. What U-Haul did wrong: - Said rep would contact me to confirm which never happened. - Changed truck size and location after proper truck and location had been confirmed by me calling. - Selected MoveHelp never contacted me so had to get someone else. -U-Haul changed truck pickup time to later than MoveHelp scheduled even though alternate MoveHelp was at same time as original schedule. MoveHelp not available for later on short notice so Meagan was able to do some shuffling and get me a truck at the proper time. Other than her, I will recommend to anyone who asks me that U-Haul be their last choice and to only use if their is no other alternative.LAUCHLIN B.

The store manager (a tall lady, I don't know her name) bullies her employees. It was in front of me, a customer. I could not imagine working under her. Her attitude towards me as a customer was just as poor - pushing me to give answers to questions more quickly than I was comfortable with. She also told me the truck I was renting had a faulty tire sensor, and that I basically had to deal with it.MAXWELL C.

I chose to pick the truck up with my mobile device and I had to wait almost 30 minutes because the keys weren't in it. If this is an option, everything should be ready to go. The check engine and wheel lights were on and dinging throughout my trip. I told the service rep before I left that they were on and all he said was, "That's GM for you. They have been checked and are fine." So, I trusted nothing was going to happen and I left in it.Jamie S.

My entire experience with Uhaul during this move was terrible. I would recommend NEVER using Uhaul again to anybody that asks. 1) I scheduled a 15' truck in Butte, MT. They called the day before pick up to tell me I had to pick up my truck in Helena, MT (70 MILES AWAY) because my local uhaul didn't have availability. This was after having the reservation for over a month. 2) I also scheduled a 10'x10' storage unit to move in to at my destination. Upon arrival, they said they didn't have any units available and suggested I call around town to see if anywhere else had anything. AGAIN, after having the reservation scheduled for OVER A MONTH. I would never recommend Uhaul to anybody for any moves. 0/5 stars.Jamie I.

You charged me $20 more than you should have. I corrected everything on the verification link and was told that it would update their computers which it never did. The verification link told me that my pictures and things are being reviewed since they were not the same. I have sat on the phone for 30 minutes I have called the store and they told me to call the GM. U-Haul needs to get this right! You guys have awful customer service!JEREMY P.
I didnt make reservations ahead of time and didnt realize I had better next time. But the rep was professional, polite and searched for a van I needed the next day. She did her job in reserving what they had left which was a 17 ft van; I was needing only a 15 ft. I took it and glad I did. Picking up the van the next day was easy peasy and the clerk was professional as well. Drop off was no issue. Definitely use UHaul in Auburn, ALFRANCINE T.
