I left the key in the wrong box. I saw the 2 boxes with combos next to the door, I slipped the key in, that's when I saw the sign that the drop box was located somewhere else.

The floor of my storage unit was really dirty. There was some kind of oil stain and it just wasn’t a suitable place to keep a mattress that I intended to use again or really any of my other possessions, so I had to find a different storage facility. They also charge $10 extra per month to have access to your storage unit after 7pm, which was not disclosed when I initially reserved the unit. The staff was helpful and friendly, but everything else about my experience was pretty terrible.

This was a good experience. I had a motorcycle trailer for 5 days. The only nitpick thing I would have is that a couple of links on the safety chain had been worn over time likely from dragging on pavement during transport. When I noticed them they had come apart. I indicated this to the U-Haul attendant and while he was very nice and professional, he noted this damage. I was not charged, because I had insurance. But had I not had insurance I wonder if I would have been charged, even though this was not my fault. But again, this is a good location that always seems to have the equipment I need and they're very timely and professional. I would highly recommend them.

Rented newer equipment 2022 truck w/ trailer, truck had major failure while driving, called roadside, couldn't get anyone to me after 4.5 hrs, had to drive unsafe truck to destination limping along and unload before returning late. Had to burn more fuel because of the engine trouble and idling was forced to do. Roadside was to inform location of issue. Next I hear from them is a bill at FULL price, nobody checked in to see if I was okay, no phone call, not even an email, and no roadside. Had bought the insurance too, what a pathetic example of poor customer service. This location's Boss is Bob, in the beginning i thought he was all right. But, 11 years a vet has jaded him into thinking every event is someone trying to work an angle on him, screw over the business. Sorry Bob, this actually did happen. You didn't even bother, that says it all right there. Never again, I should contact the CEO and let him know how garbage that is. I was traveling at 55 on the freeway in busy traffic when this happened! I could have gotten into a huge accident. But no, go ahead and bill me. It's the only one you or your company will see from me again. I'd rather pay more at penske than be treated this way. But don't worry, i'm just a number to you, *beep* next! F-

I have been using Uhaul for decades. I rented trucks and even have had a storage unit for many years with you. every time I have rented a truck, the employees will get the truck from the parking area and give it to you at a pickup spot in the lot. this location makes you go get the truck from where it is, even when they are so tight that it's very hard to pull out without someone to help you. I rented a 26' truck and was just given the keys to go find it. The truck was so tight, close to the other two trucks that I even had a hard time getting in. As I tried to wave at one of the employees, he pretended he didnt see me. the result was me hitting the mirror on the truck next to me and breaking it. to top it off, I was forced to pay $250 for the damage even when I took insurance on my truck.

It was easy to get my unit leased. The area was always clean and easy to access. My only challenge was that the unit was on the second floor with no elevator so everything had to be carried up the stairs.

The center was very busy the day I rented the trailer (Fri 8am). There was only one employee. Would have been better from a customer service standpoint to have another employee there. I will say the one person there was helpful and was not flustered and kept us informed as to how long we would wait. Overall very happy with the service and overall experience

Uhaul store had a line, employees were just outside standing around, one just smoking. While approaching them we were spoke to rudely saying we'll get to you when we can but they were not in the store regardless.

The uHaul app seemed to have malfunctioned and repeatedly sent multiple verification codes to my mobile phone number at the same time (when only one request was sent - not multiple) causing my sessions to terminate due to expired codes. This caused my expected return time of 9pm CST to be slightly over 9pm.

Rental went good until I had to return the truck. Truck was due back this morning 7/29 at 8:30 am. I went to the uhaul location at 8. The owner was busy with another client. He said that I can leave the keys in the truck and I am all set. About 11 am, the owner of uhaul called me several times and left a message that the truck has not been returned. He called my wife as well and she spoke with him saying that I returned it this morning. He stated to her that he will check and call back. I tried calling uhaul but had to wait 30 mins before speaking with someone. The customer strive rep informed me that the truck was received. Uhaul never called back my wife or myself within those 30 mins to say they made a mistake and the vehicle was received.

There is a rep who works day's who spends way too much time conversing rather than providing service to get in-and-out for a rental or anything else at that location. I do everything in the afternoon where I can just get in and get out and get the information I need.

I needed a pick-up truck to move some furniture quickly and this was the cheapest/easiest option I had. The process was low stress. With renting, I'm always worried about surprise fees but I was in and out with no issues.

I had difficulty uploading pictures of mileage, odometer, inside of cab, etc.. I emailed the location telling them that and offered to email my pictures. Ignored email and quickly charged me $20 for not completing return. This was after driving 350 miles in traffic trying to bring our broken down car back to Illinois. It was a white knuckled drive for my 74 year old husband. I feel the charge was not fair in this circumstance. For that reason I will not recommend this location.

Scheduled a trailer and dolly rental well in advance. Went to this location to pick up and was told I would have to drive far out of my way to pickup a dolly (and pay for a one way trip up charge). I was also not rung up for the box that I brought to the counter so I ended up purchasing it elsewhere. It seems as though every time I rent with U-Haul I have at least 1 issue on your end.

When I reserved the U-box, I understood that I would be able to load it at the location in St Charles, IL. A few days before my loading date, I was informed that I would need to travel to the Aurora location which was further from where my contents were being stored. I had the same thing happen in Portland, Or. I had set up my pick up at one location only to be notified a day before that I had to go to a different location - further away - for the unloading. You guys need to be more honest about your which facilities are actually available for loading and unloading. The way I figure it you owe me a couple of gallons of gas and about 2 hours of time for me and my helper.
