The truck was acceptable with the exception of the hydro boost brake system needing fluid. It still works but is pretty loud. The main complaint is that again, they tried to charge me for more gas then I used. Luckily I remembered they did this last time and got me for $30. The fuel level that they record on the paperwork was higher than the actual fuel level in the truck. This time I took a picture of the gas gauge which most people probably don't do. I went 15 miles with the truck, put 5 gallons of fuel in it and they still said I didn't add fuel. That would be less than 3 miles per gallon. This is the third time they have played this game at this location. At this point I believe it is a scam and will be reporting it to the BBB and attorney generals office.William S.

Truck wasnt clean, I wiped it out with Lysol wipes before I got in, the motor made noticeable squeals indicating a loose belt, occurred only upon acceleration and deceleration, not during ride once speed limit was reached or while idling at a stop.John R.

Ive been using uhaul for years now and never had an experience like this time, I called and made arrangements for two 26 foot box trucks to use for a whole month and was told I had to pay no upfront costs, I called back the fallowing week and was told that I needed to pay $5,500 for the two trucks. I was supposed to get a call back that Thursday by traffic control but never did. That fallowing day I called traffic control and they told me that I was not able to pick up any trucks because I needed to set up an corporate account. I told all representatives that I needed the trucks that Monday so I was out of the trucks that I was told would be given to me. The day of returning the truck I had I was rushed to bring it back without asking if I needed it any longer and that it was going to be given out on a reservation. So I brought the truck back in the next morning like requested and was then told that I needed to return all items being used in order to be completely turn in, why wasn't I explained that prior or any of this misleading information.JOSE P.

I've used this location several times. The last few times have been less than desirable experiences. There's no corporate number to contact which you obviously know. It refers you back to the location. Ashley Miller (Mgr/franchise) is running scams. At first I thought mistakes happen but between gas scam and mileage scam I will no longer be returning here. I will drive out of my way to use another branch. I am considering a class action lawsuit against Uhaul because this is no longer a coincidence.SALLY G.

The van I rented ran well but was dirty inside when I picked it up. Customer service at this location in Austintown was horrible. They would rather talk to each other when you come in than greet their customers and wait on them. They don't show you where your rental is or tell you anything about it. Also we paid for an appliance dolly and they forgot to give it to us. We left before they opened the next morning so we left without it and had to find a uhaul to rent another one where we were picking up our appliance.Barbara M.

I would recommend this location, HOWEVER!!... For Management: please consider additional help for the after 3:00 shift, as numerous customers needed to wait for significant time in line. MOREOVER, upon my after-hours return, because your website refused to connect properly with the location services of my phone, I was unable to complete the return UNTIL WAITING ON HOLD FOR 35 MINUTES FOR SOMEONE TO FINALLY ANSWER MY CALL AND COMPLETE THE RETURN. PLEASE CONSIDER MAKING THE NECESSARY MODIFICATIONS TO YOUR RETURN SYSTEM TO HELP FUTURE CUSTOMERS AVOID THIS RETURN NIGHTMARE.Thomas S.

The truck was a rattle trap. On the freeway it could not safely maintain speeds of 60 mph. The alignment was awful and the truck was very difficult to keep straight.James M.

I rented wrong trailer for our Ford F150 pick up and tried to call and chg reservation and there was a 57 min wait on hold. My husband went directly to the shop and told them and they said they had the correct one there. 2 days later, I get a text that our reservation was for a completely different facility for pick up (Warren), not very near us. Again, try to call...can't get thru. My husband goes to pick up at our local Uhaul site, tells them the situation, they said our reservation wasn't there, even tho I have in writing that it is, but she still give us the truck and trailer in stock. Then we get a call while we are driving in the Uhaul, we missed our pick up reservation and never pick up our truck and trailer...and we are sitting in the truck.... We travel 150 miles to Kane, PA to find out they didn't switch the trailer after all. It took us 3 hours to get there (3 hours back) and the F150 hung off the truck. We came back with nothing, our family truck is still in Kane, got charged $330 for the ride out and back....My contract says 6 ft bed as per my original request..instead of changing per our 2 attempts to clarify on site. Very sad a huge company like this doesn't care about the customer. :(Kenneth C.

The customer service representative gave me The wrong key and I had to go over a yard across the parking lot while raining just for the key to not work. My assigned pick up location was in Canfield. However, upon arrival I was informed that the trailer was in Austintown and that Uhaul was supposed to have contacted me. This presented a lot of lost time in an already busy day. In addition, I was told at time of original rental on the phone that my 1 7/8" ball was good for the trailer, but the trailer connection was very sloppy and made a lot of banging during my use, so a 2" ball would've been more appropriate.Stephen A.

Only reason I answered no on the equipment question was the one tire strap was torn off and it would not reach to secure the tire. The other side was ok and secured the tire no problem. I had to use my own strap to secure that side. I told salesperson of tire strap problem when I returned trailer. Hopefully it gets fixed.steve Z.

I had a terrible experience with reserving my vehicle. I called a close location and I was directed to book online only to get a call 2 hours before I was supposed to pick it up that there wasn't a vehicle available. I had arrangements made according to time and location so it caused great disruption to my plan and those helping me. I had to go to a further location therefore increasing my mileage and cost for the vehicle as well and the time needed. I arrived at 550 to start the pick up process and didn't get to the truck until 620 due to issue processing the payment and my card was fine and ultimately used. My reservation was from 6-8 and I arrived back at 8:12 so o am hopeful I do not get charged an extra day because I was after 8 when I left so late, had to drive longer causing increased mileage cost and travel time/rental needs. The employee at the location I picked up was very kind and provided excellent customer service however she did need to call someone when there were issues that arouse with processing payment. Overall I had a very poor and unsatisfactory and frustrating experienceLeslie H.

The employees at this location were great. Went above and beyond. There is no comparison between Austintown and Ravenna. Ravenna Ohio location has worst, non caring management. They neglected to let me know hitch did not come in until I drove 30 minutes there and had someone follow me.Tony S.
You need more workers. One person working and 4 people waiting inline makes a long WAIT. I also rented some of the wheels carts for large items. I needed two. Walk with the girl to check every truck to get a second one. Could not find the second one. Tried to return the first one because it was no help with out the second one. Someone should make sure there are carts at both entrances. We spent more time chasing them down. Also some moving devices (rectangles with wheels) for longer big items would be helpful.
