Customer service was not great. I was picking my trailer up from Baytown uhaul the day after a tropical storm came through. Concerned, that they might not have been opened I kept trying to call but they had their phone forewarned to the corporate uhaul all day. No one could confirm for sure if they were open or not. So I went early, around 1:30pm (pick up was at 5 pm) in case they weren't, I would be able to reschedule somewhere else. When I showed up, the guy and girl working were extremely rude. Pissed even that I was there earlier even though I explained that I couldn't call them because they had the phones forwarded. The guy then told me that he had to charge me for an extra day since I was earlier. Which was fine except that he told me that I still had to drop the trailer off on the same. Why would I have to drop the trailer on the same day if I am paying for an extra day? He finally figured it and scheduled properly even though it cost me an extra day. Then we went out to hook up the trailer. The trailer that I was given was in terrible shape. It was not washed, inside or out. The tires were only at 30 psi even though the sidewall read 65 psi. (That's probably why the front driver side tire was so worn that it was practically bald.) And the other tire was so old that it had dry rot cracks in it. Fenders we're all rusted and there were claim stickers all over the trailer. He put the trailer on the hitch and left the brake chain longer then safety chains! And told me that he couldn't help me check the lights. He was gone before I could even open the text message to submit my photos. Absolutely horrible service. U-Haul as a whole is good option to rent a trailer. Usually the trailers are in better shape then one I got. But after receiving terrible customer service at this location, I guess I'm not surprised that their trailers also receive terrible attention. I can not express strongly enough, DO NOT use Baytown Uhaul.Matthew D.

The employee who assisted me to rent the equipment was great... The one who wouldn't help me when I returned the equipment was not so great, I got to the store just before closing, doors were still opened, I walk in to return and the employee tells me I have to do after hours return, he wouldn't even tell me were to park, his only replies to me were "follow directions in the booklet for after hour returns" then he locks the door behind me a few mins later and just drives away. THIS IS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE TOWARDS PAYING CUSTOMERS!!!ANDELL J.

The tongue of your trailers should include jacks. They do not. For safety purposes, if the renter needs to unhook it is an extreme safety issue to lift the tongue of the trailer back on to the truck without a mechanical lift assist.John L.

After loading the Uhaul and driving one hour, I got a warning light saying tires were low/bad. I stopped at the nearest Uhaul where they said their tire repair air was down. I had to continue driving to the next nearest Uhaul, 10 miles. They put 4 new tires on!!!!! Which means I was driving on 4 bad tires. Upon arriving at my destination in College Station, Texas, I was not allowed to turn in the Uhaul, they said I had to drive it back to Baytown, Texas. I called about 6 times to request a change. My key ring even said the truck I was driving was a one way vehicle. I won't rent from Uhaul again.Penelope A.

FYI. Jesus movers, loading help, was a nightmare. Left the loading, was to be back in an hour, was gone 7 hours. We called him numerous times, he said he would be back but would not say when. He told me I needed a larger truck and he would meet me at uhaul to transfer the load. We waited until 6:30, so one of the workers offered to transfer the load. The store closed at 7, so the manager helped with the transfer. She told me the liad was poorly packed, there would have been breakage. It was shortly after that when this mover told me he was on the way. Of course I let him know he was no longer needed. The next morning a friend a 2 of his friends finished the loading which cost me an additional 300 dollars. He was 2 hours late showing up that morning, his helper was a young man who was around 18. While he stayed inside shrink wrapping everything, he would yell the kid to take it to the truck. Not one time did he leave the house and check on the kid. Just stayed inside, shrink wrapped, and spread the gospel. He cost me a lot of stress due to the delays. He also put all the screw, nuts and bolts in a baggie. When I arrived at my destination, they were not to be found. I contacted him be text 3 times, no response, called twice, he would not pick up the phone. Since I had no bed to sleep in, it cost me 2 nights in a motel. I gave him the justified feedback.Pauline B.

Was informed by pick-up location that they would not list a â€œdrop offâ€ location on the form.. That way all I'd have to do is call a preferred location ahead of time, which I did, informing them that I would be dropping off there. The phone app has many problems. 1. when a serach for emequipment lists locations, the locations with the equipment in stock are not at the top if the list and locations with "similar " equipment are listed. This bad for the customer and the location. 2. The app didn't upload puctures for after hours returning. There was NO phone support for after hours returning. The locations don't have problems, the app is causing problems for everyone.Scott O.

I chose the mobile checkin and checkout and it took longer than it would have taken had I done it inside in person. Still had to go inside. Mileage charges ridiculous. You advertise $19.99 and that should have included some miles at least..what a ripoff. Will never use U-Haul again.Shonda K.

Misty Moore was very rude and didn't educate me on how to use the truck share services as I requested. I attempted to call the store on the day off my reservation to see if I could receive my rental early but no one answered the phone. After being transferred to customer service, I was told that I could pick up my truck early and that I would be educated on how to use truckshare/ushare and that didn't happen. So I go to check in and Misty Moore said that I was too early for my rental and was very mean to me. Moreover I think that it is very unprofessional for her to ask my employee if he is speaking with his real voice just because he has a deep voice. I've rented with U-Haul for over two decades and this has been my worst experience by far.Frank W.

Everything was Good except I had 3 items that was in storage have mold on them. Not sure if the infamous freeze of 2021 have anything to do with it but, I had to throw away my son's mattress and box spring. I will also have to get my cedar chest refinished, I had an ottoman and a futon along with other fabric items, not sure what happened. Thats why you pay extra for insurance, claim filed.
