Quick pick up of a rental truck with very helpful staff. It turned out some additional equipment I had arranged to rent (utility dolly, moving blankets) was not available. I'd recommend checking the day before your rental like I did to give yourself time to make other arrangements if necessary.

Kaitlyn was extremely helpful, patient and thorough with my reservation. The young lady that helped me on the day that I picked up the truck was also very nice and and helpful she explained everything throughly, unfortunately I can not remember her name. When I returned the truck I was told to just leave the key at the front desk and that I would get a receipt emailed to me. I took photos of the truck and the milage before I left the location and also when I returned the truck, although I was charged the correct amount I wish that the Inspection of the truck upon return was done while I was there. That was my only concern other than that everything was pretty good.

Staff was not courteous. Made entire process seem like a favor to me. Told them explicitly i don't want damage waiver. Still charged it. Told them to take it off, manager said she would when i return it because system was broken. Got upset when i returned and asked for it to be taken off I know employees get commission for selling more damage waivers. They are playing games and being rude about it. Hesitant to go back

this was probably the worst experience I've ever had with a rental truck business. Not only was my location changed to an area farther away from my home but also I was given a 10' truck instead of the 15' truck that I reserved. Also the equipment I wanted with the truck was not available. I reserved 5 days in advance and nothing was correct. No one from your company helped or tried to give me some compensation. I will never use uhaul again.

After receiving the bill via email, they was a charge for add'l Gas charge. ( I filled it up before drop off to level it was before) I took me 45 minutes to finally get someone to discuss.. They took care of the problem but 45 minutes??? That a problem.. Solution would be give the customer a full tank when rental begins . Did I mention 45 minutes??/ Thats too long to hold for anyone!!

Awful location. Terrible staff. Try to trick people into giving hours they need rental to encourage more late fees. App is a joke. I spent 40 min picking up the van as they called my emergency contacts!! Unbelievable. Worst rental I ever had. I would never use uhaul for my business ever again.

When I order the trailer on college point and I got all the confirmation, when the day I pickup on college point they said the reservation has been canceled and they send me to Jericho turnpike. When I call customer service to file complaint she said she don't see any cancell reservations and not very helping my issue .

Make sure u inform the customer verify the start milage My uhaul agent try to charge me 50 miles for 11 mile trip and charge me for their mistake. It is not the customer obligation to ensure correct mileage is written down .The agent was also annoyed at me for their mistake no apology offered

I returned the van after hours. No matter what I tried to do the remote return would not go through. I had all my settings on my iPhone correct to be able to send my location but it never did. Plus, the Wi-Fi for the store was not accessible. I could not connect to their Wi-Fi. I did call the one 800 number and spoke to someone. But then I had to wait 45 minutes to speak to someone. Although the representative was very kind and helpful, waiting that long was very stressful. Returning the van after hours was an arduous and stressful process. We had a long day moving items and just wanted it to be quick. Very stressful. It doesn't work. Otherwise my experience was good with the store. As well as the equipment.

I booked my truck for 12:00 pm but day before my booking I went to talk If I can pickup at 10 instead of picking up at 12:00pm so she ok no problem... next day I went to the location lady asked how may I help you I said I am here to picking up me tuck & it was 11:00am She said oh that's you I been trying to call you since 8 o'clock I said you can check my number phone I've not get any missed call.. she was like oh that tuck is not washed yet wait let me go clean.. so what was that I could not understand her.. very unprofessional!

U-haul could hire more staff! Your company could stand to increase spending on crucial human staff. There were only two people at the location doing everything: answering phones, helping customers finish checking out their vehicles, and cleaning vehicles as fast as they could to get them ready for the customers. Those two were amazing and should be making at least$100,000 a year with stock options. Are they well compensated?

I've sent two long emails already without any response and have pasted it below. Some seriously unacceptable lack of customer service and empathy. Please contact me soon for refund options, this made the start of my move unneccesraily stressful. Previous email: I wanted to touch base with a representative regarding issues with the pickup of my reservation this morning. I was called late before the night of my reservation to let me know that the location(10 minutes away) I had reserved a truck at no longer had my truck and that I could pick it up at another location (45minutes away) instead. They guaranteed that I would be able to do the mobile pickup at 8am as I had requested in my original reservation. Upon arrival I followed the instructions for pickup and came to a screen that said I'd have to wait till the location opened. I called a representative and they were anything but empathetic and said the other folks messed up and didn't put a key in the lockbox for me so I'd have to wait. When the time came to actually pick it up at 9am, none of the supplies I ordered were in the truck or even in stock. Now an hour and a half behind schedule I got in the cabin of the truck to get it back to our house and found hair, dirt, leaves, coffee and soda stains, and dust everywhere inside as though it hasn't been cleaned in weeks. The outside of the truck didn't have any damage but there were layers and layers of bugs, again, like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. On top of all this, every person in line behind me at the location has the same issues of being adjusted last minute with a headache of difficulties and curveballs. This is unacceptable in a time when people need to be provided reliable, safe, equipment to move. All of this doesn't nearly add up to the almost $3000 cost of renting this truck. I would like to request, at minimum, that I be reimbursed for the missing equipment, a few tanks of gas, and some cleaning fee. Ideally I'd love my rental fee cut in half for the time it set us back on our time sensitive move, and that we had to purchase more equipment to properly and safely pack our home and move across the country. We first I sign up to do the share program. Got there for 8 am and the system then told me to wait till 9 am . 9 am came and I still had to wait another 45 min before I got the truck . I waste so much time .

I made a reservation for a 10 foot truck so I could move out of my apartment. When I got to the U-haul location, I was told that U-haul changed my reservation to a van without notifying me. When I asked the worker how this was possible, she was EXTREMELY rude and told me that it wasn't her fault and she couldnt help me get the truck I had reserved. The van was too small to fit all of my things and I couldn't complete my move out in one day. I was not offered any credit or money off even though I got a smaller van without notification. I would like an explanation on why I didn't get the truck I had reserved. My family has used U-haul for years but will not be using again after this horrible experience and service.

The counter lady's is worse and not helpful at all when I return the truck. I park in the back of the building part of U-Haul building Because this is my first time in her from Albany New York. I return the key inside and the counter lady said get the truck back and park in parking lot without any effort to explain

The day of my move, the corridor light was broken and the movers had to work in darkness to move me out of 2 units. Kaitlynne was extremely helpful and attempted to fix the light but the problem appeared to be more extensive than just changing a few light bulbs. Kaitlynne informed me of the move out process, was always available, and made the process much less stressful. My stored items were free of bugs, moisture, all intact, and the customer service at this location has always been excellent.

I was having problems with my phone app for auto check in so I turned to the staff at the counter for help and clearly she had an attitude towards it. Communication on rental return was confusing. The staff told me to wait for her to check the vehicle out because she was a bit backed up, I waited almost 30 minutes and then she turned out asking me why I was waiting for her!! These people made you felt like they don't want your business. Stay away from this location!

My experience with U-Haul Moving and Storage of Bellerose was excellent. I reserved a truck for the morning and was running late. The woman working the desk called to check if I was wanting her to hold my reservation. When I arrived the same woman at the desk was there and she made the process of obtaining the extra equipment and checking out a breeze. She handled another customer as well as a customer on the phone with ease. Some people would have been stressed out by the situation (the person on the phone was clearly not happy and was wanting the rules to be bent regarding who could access his storage unit), but this woman kept a smile on her face, a calm tone to her voice and set the person on the phone at ease while helping me and the other in-person customer. She created a very relaxing yet professional atmosphere. Upon my return, a different employee who came out promptly to greet me, was friendly and helpful and made the return process go smoothly. I would highly recommend this location. It's well run and full of extremely competent employees.

Access to storage units on the roof is very unsafe, you have to back your vehicle up a steep trail to get to the unit. Good luck if your driving a truck. Uhaul definitely needs to change this

Everything was fine until the invoice came the next day after I returned the truck. The invoice was filled with discrepancies: 1) I did not order the pads nor did I received any pads but somehow I was charged for it; 2) I filled the gas tank to the original level before I returned the truck but I still got charged for gas in the amount of $12.38. I called Uhaul immediately to correct the errors. The store manager acknowledged that they made an error on the pads but insisted that the gas charged was not a mistake and asked me to drive to the store to take a look at the truck. Of course, they knew I wouldn't drive 20 minutes to look at the reading. It was my mistake for not taking a picture of the truck when I dropped off the truck. My best advise for anyone renting a truck from Uhual is to take pictures of everything. Then they can't make up any additional charges. It's not a obscene amount of money but it's about integrity here. No one wants to get ripped off. Beware!

The engine lite was on all time. The rear door got stuck to the roof and would not roll down. it took us half an hour to wedge the lock out. The driver side had an accident before and woull not close properly. Had to bang hard to close it.

I got no help from the service. My Service person did not gave a tour of storage only stated it’s on the other side of the building. Pick up your vehicle in row D and inspect it for damages before you leave. The entire right side top portion of truck broken and open from the front to the back ;with the upper signal light broken. I went back to the service person who was outside at the return vehicle station. I informed her that the truck was damaged and I need another truck. She replied, “ I need to go home.” “I closed out the register.” It’s 7:20 pm You closed” and I didn’t have a truck to move .”we know the truck was damage ;you will not be charged for the damages.” She refused to go to the office to give me another truck. why would you give me a damaged truck? I gave her the truck key and ask her to cancelled out the truck. I didn’t pay to rent a broken truck. I lost money because of your company poor service of not proving me with a working truck. I had to pay the moving people who’s was to load and unload the truck. I had the worst experience with your company’s service personals. They both had attitudes and was not helpful in proving information or service. I used your company before and I have never had this poor service experience. The service person stated ,”she will cancelled out the truck rental and insurance for 8/18/20. “I will return the money to your card and send you a text message.” I didn’t get a text for the cancellation/ truck insurance from Uhall as she stated on 8/18/20. 7:27 pm.Thanks for your resolution of this poor service provided by your service staff on the afternoon of 8/18/20.

The actual unit itself is good. The way to access the unit is horrible. Any unit that is on the roof, must be accessed by BACKING your vehicle UP a curved road. This is very dangerous. Also if one vehicle is backed up the road, you must wait until they are done, and then you can access your unit with your vehicle. UHAUL must reconstruct this area. And if the gate sensor doesn't have anything in its view, the gate will close, and even if it hits an object it doesn't stop, it continues to close. DANGEROUS.....SOMEONE COULD BE SERIOUSLY HURT

Great experience , excellent staff. Only negative would be the lighting in the storage area.... the timer should be adjusted because they keep going off while trying to move things. It made things hard ...we were often left in the dark and we needed to keep going out of the unit every 3-4 minutes to wave and see if the lights turned back on.

I was REQUIRED to purchase a DISKUS LOCK. After I placed all my property in the storage the manger “Everett” said they will VOID my contract and cut my lock. They even printed out the DISKUS lock info
