The representative I dealt with on the second day was extremely rude and nasty!! When I picked up the truck on the first day, I had checked out online and when I arrived to the store the representative went through the details to confirm the estimated miles, size of the truck etc and put a hold on my credit cards. After which he handed me the keys and said it’s the first truck in line E. I asked if there was anything else I needed to do and he said no you’re good to go. I went outside and took a video of all sides of the truck to make sure to document the condition and left. The next day when I came to return the truck I was confronted by a female representative who started by accusing me of stealing the truck. Confused I explained the scenario and she just kept walking away. I asked her what I needed to do to get a receipt for returning the truck as she has claimed that I had stole it. She said there’s nothing else that I needed to do and walked away again. I then went inside to speak to someone else to get a receipt as I realized there was some mixup and wanted proper documentation so I wouldn’t be accused of stealing again. She ended up coming back and telling the other rep that should would handle my rental. The entire time she was extremely rude and condescending. At the end she tried to charge me for the larger truck and would not even try to listen when I told her the price was incorrect. Eventually she reran the numbers after going back and forth for awhile and gave me a new receipt with the correct price and just walked away from the desk. I have rented trucks and trailers several times from this location before as it is a few blocks from my house, but this was my first time checking out online before arriving. I have never been treated this poorly at any store ever. To be accused of stealing after the rep told me that I could leave and then spoke to at such a condescending manner was completely unprofessional and uncalled for.

The Bellerose location was absolutely great! After the Douglas Ave totally screwed up my reservation and rented my truck while I was in the store to pick it up, it was a pleasant surprise when the Bellerose location stepped up. They were very helpful kind and courteous. The Uhaul location on Douglas Ave was a complete disaster. The lady helping me directly was very nice and did what she could do, her co workers were rude and dismissive. I had paid for the truck, rented some other items and she had the keys in her hand to give to me. However, one her coworkers rented the truck to someone else while I was in the store and took the keys away from the lady helping me. They did not have another truck to meet my requirements and that is why I ended up at the Bellerose location. This made for a totally long day after having to drive to Long Island to pick up the truck and then drive back to Queens to load and finally to Brooklyn to unload, then back to Long Island. RIDICULOUS!!!! Somebody needs to give the folks on Douglas Ave some customer service training. They were pathetic!!!!!

The manager there is very very rude. Was very unsatisfied by his attitude. There were two people working and only one person infront of me. As one employee was working, the manager was just on his phone sitting there helpless as i waited nearly 45 minutes to be even assisted.

Good Day , I want to start by saying the help I’d received at the Bellrose location was absolutely GREAT! Both during pick up and drop off . I’ve used this location a few times and this was an improvement. Aside for that, I was in too much of a hurry to review my receipt. I noticed an “ additional Day “ charge of $125. I had the vehicle for just under 5 1/2 hours. If there’s a penalty for a few minutes, that’s understandable. But a full day charge is a bit extreme. I expect U-Haul to do the right thing by its customers. That being a refund of the additional charge. I look forward to hearing from you. As I am eager to share my experience with all contacts. i reserved on line ahead of time when I went that morning felt like I was an inconvenience to them when process was complete could not find the truck. it was not where it was supposed to be and no one knew where it was took a long time. also gas was approximate. I refilled it and still got charged for some gas not right

The computers didn't work for the young man working there but did once the young lady showed up. I traveled 8 miles, put $10 worth of gas in the tank more that 3 gallons and was charged another $3.65 for not bringing it back at the same gas level. When I pointed out this wasn't possible the young man said he would leave a note as there was nothing he could do.

If it says a price when rented it should not change once returned. I was told $96 then it turned in to $105 when I was going to pay and finally it became $115 in the email. The price changed three times and I feel like I was getting ripped off.

Let me clarify: The young lady who handled the return was amazing. The young guys when I picked up the van were nice and helpful. For these 2 reasons I would recommend this place to friends. While the van was clean, at 44 miles into my trip the transmission light came on and stayed on. Traction control kept going on for service when I was stopped in traffic or at a light. For a van with 4,224 when I picked it up, it is a piece of junk. Was disappointed in no customer parking on premise.

The Staff is Very Unfriendly n Unprofessional. I booked a Dolly in advance but Never received any. He made me stand in the rain for no reason while he inspected the van. Dint take me on the tour to show me the vehicle n around to make sure the vehicle is clean n no dents. I drove no more then 5 miles but charge the gas fee which was triple the regular price. After I returned rental on time before the 24 hour rental period, I had an extra ~$100 charged to my card on file. The charges were all bogus. They claimed that I took the furniture pads that I did not even receive when I rented the truck. They then said I rented the truck for 2 days even though it was less than 24 hours. When I dropped off the truck on the 24th of February, the worker at the return area told me to just drop the key in at slot and that was it. I did this at 4:58 P.M. which is 2 minutes before the 24 hour rental period. I was charged 2 days worth of charges for everything because of this. Customer service at the location by the employees was atrocious. A man name Everett told me to file a complaint and instead of transferring me to customer service, he transferred me to rental and reservations line which heard my whole complaint for no reason because it’s not their department. Never using U-Haul again. I didn’t even drive 9 miles worth with the truck yet when I put in 3 gallons of gas, the needed barely budged higher. How is that possible? My credit card company will cancel the charges as I already filed a complaint with them. Don’t ever use U-Haul.

The vehicle itself was clean however the truck was shaking a lot when stopped. The engine was kicking back when idle... there was something wrong with the engine or as if someone prior had put the wrong gas in the tank. Overall drove fine, but it shook a lot.

Customer service was VERY slow. I waited in line behind 1 customer for 30mins. because there was 1 person at the counter and 4 people were behind me. A staff member helped one person and disappeared.
