The truck had evidently been previously used by a smoker and smelled of cigarette smoke. Staff may wish to check the vehicle for smoke odor when it is returned.

The only problem was, I use the truck for 6 miles from the pick up to my house to the storage units and back, the attendant showed me the gas gauge and said it was on half, I took a picture of the gauge and it was before the half mark the niddle was before the half, before I return the truck I put $10. Gas and the niddle did not move but remain in the same location as I pick it, clearly showing the gas gauge is not working, and the trucks sound like it was going to fall apart, need overhauling.

Every night and the location was excellent customer service through one 800 U-Haul is a different story I asked for one location I asked for Bellerose and they send me to Flushing and then they send me to Inwood they have to get customer service straighten up

The people working are very nasty and I would not recommend to anyone at this location .the women named nya porter was disrespectful and I was having problem .she did not care about it and starting taking another Custumer and ther was a men working with her on 11/1/18 at 12.30 pm in the bellerose location.they we disrespectful

I rented a car trailer. It was old and worn down. It should be taken out of service. I rented a trailer one year ago and it was a Beautiful piece but this one was bad. Maybe add electronic brake system for safety.

They had sufficient staff to cover multiple renters which was good because the check in process took some time. I didn't like that "I" had to inspect the truck and label any dents or scratches before taking possession of the truck.

Truck started to give mechanical issues. The van wasn’t near or even half it’s weight limit. After calling the location and advising them about the issue they transferd me to a road side assistance I advised them that the truck was struggling to drive even at 15 mph. I continued to drive to the location and asked if I could swap the vehicle they said no. It’s not there policy to swap vehicles. SMH that’s not right. He said he could dispatch a road side rep and it could take 60-90 mins. Not acceptable. It could be a sensor that’s dirty dispite the vehicle had issues and this van had very low mileage which indicates this is a new vehicle. I’m glad that the Bellerose location accommodated me with an available vehicle. They that staff at that location did what was right and accommodated me with a vehicle that was available. I give that location 5 stars. The policy however I’m not sure about it. To be honest I’ll be looking else wear and closely reading there policy’s.

Service was excellent . I was there at 7 am and didn’t have to wait . My rental was ready and it took all of 15 minutes . Employees were also great. Would recommend this location

Pick-up was a hassle. Required me to provide 2 cell phone numbers. Who has 2 cellphones? Ridiculous policy. Drop off was horrendous. After being ignored at the drop off line, went to get my personal car parked in the street and when I got about 50 feet away from drop off then they acknowledged me. After I finally checked out with drop off I told them I wanted to pay cash inside and not one employee was to be found inside the store. After about 5 minutes I walked out. It’s amazing the place can even manage to stay open. Next time I will go to Home Depot for my rental needs.

I had to request a different vehicle due to the extreme smoke in the first van. I think there should be a can for smokers and one for nonsmokers. The smokers should pay extra to rent and upon return if they smoked it the nonsmoker van they should pay a surcharge. Second hand smoke is a huge health hazard and smokers should pay for that privelege and the rights of nonsmokers should be protected even when renting a Uhaul can. If there was not another can that smelled smoke free I wouldn't have rented a van at all. The only other thing is customer parking should be looked into. It should be first come first served. So the customers can eliminate the anxieties of where to leave their vehicles upon pick up of the van. All of the employees were professional, compassionate and kind always even the first time I rented before. I forgot one of the employees's name. He helped to complete my pickup the first time and this time he did not check me in but checked out when I dropped the vehicle off. He was such a breath of fresh air I actually enjoyed his work ethic, efficiency and professionalism so much the first time I rented and dropped off he assisted me and it was like a dream. He was like that and he was unsupervised, he needs acknowledgement and possible raise, reward or promotion in the near future if not now. He single handedly is the reason I was a return customer and he relieved all my anxieties about the bill, etc. just by his calm demeanor it made me trust what he was saying and it made me calmer throughout the process. I even looked for him this second time I rented and it called me down again even though this time he did not check me in he only took the vehicle at drop off. The first time he checked me in and took the vehicle at drop off. Thanks Uhaul for excellent service! ????
