I returned the van after hours. No matter what I tried to do the remote return would not go through. I had all my settings on my iPhone correct to be able to send my location but it never did. Plus, the Wi-Fi for the store was not accessible. I could not connect to their Wi-Fi. I did call the one 800 number and spoke to someone. But then I had to wait 45 minutes to speak to someone. Although the representative was very kind and helpful, waiting that long was very stressful. Returning the van after hours was an arduous and stressful process. We had a long day moving items and just wanted it to be quick. Very stressful. It doesn't work. Otherwise my experience was good with the store. As well as the equipment.
I booked my truck for 12:00 pm but day before my booking I went to talk If I can pickup at 10 instead of picking up at 12:00pm so she ok no problem... next day I went to the location lady asked how may I help you I said I am here to picking up me tuck & it was 11:00am She said oh that's you I been trying to call you since 8 o'clock I said you can check my number phone I've not get any missed call.. she was like oh that tuck is not washed yet wait let me go clean.. so what was that I could not understand her.. very unprofessional!
Staff who assisted was very detailed and clear in her information. Hoping that every staff will use the same customer service skills. I really appreciate her and thank her for providing all the information before leaving the U- Haul location

Reserved in person at 8 store didn't open until 9 finally when I walked in at 9 truck wasn't ready it needed cleaning first. Horrible. Enjoy my hard earned money.
One person at counter - did well but would be more efficient to have more check in counter personnel
The girls that worked the front desk counter, were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Made everything easy. Only problem was, although the van was new, it was missing a passenger side mirror when I picked it up
U-haul could hire more staff! Your company could stand to increase spending on crucial human staff. There were only two people at the location doing everything: answering phones, helping customers finish checking out their vehicles, and cleaning vehicles as fast as they could to get them ready for the customers. Those two were amazing and should be making at least$100,000 a year with stock options. Are they well compensated?
The manager, Jasmine Carter was great! Sped me through the process & helped with all the details. The U-Haul website, however needs to be updated and not allow the booking of equipment that doesn't exist!!
Need more staff
I've sent two long emails already without any response and have pasted it below. Some seriously unacceptable lack of customer service and empathy. Please contact me soon for refund options, this made the start of my move unneccesraily stressful. Previous email: I wanted to touch base with a representative regarding issues with the pickup of my reservation this morning. I was called late before the night of my reservation to let me know that the location(10 minutes away) I had reserved a truck at no longer had my truck and that I could pick it up at another location (45minutes away) instead. They guaranteed that I would be able to do the mobile pickup at 8am as I had requested in my original reservation. Upon arrival I followed the instructions for pickup and came to a screen that said I'd have to wait till the location opened. I called a representative and they were anything but empathetic and said the other folks messed up and didn't put a key in the lockbox for me so I'd have to wait. When the time came to actually pick it up at 9am, none of the supplies I ordered were in the truck or even in stock. Now an hour and a half behind schedule I got in the cabin of the truck to get it back to our house and found hair, dirt, leaves, coffee and soda stains, and dust everywhere inside as though it hasn't been cleaned in weeks. The outside of the truck didn't have any damage but there were layers and layers of bugs, again, like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. On top of all this, every person in line behind me at the location has the same issues of being adjusted last minute with a headache of difficulties and curveballs. This is unacceptable in a time when people need to be provided reliable, safe, equipment to move. All of this doesn't nearly add up to the almost $3000 cost of renting this truck. I would like to request, at minimum, that I be reimbursed for the missing equipment, a few tanks of gas, and some cleaning fee. Ideally I'd love my rental fee cut in half for the time it set us back on our time sensitive move, and that we had to purchase more equipment to properly and safely pack our home and move across the country. Explain to your customers that the rental Vans are $125 per day not $19.95 per day. The Service oil light was on the whole time I drove it.

More people at the front desk. I had to wait 30 minutes on line just to get the truck keys. I did the online check in but it did not help
I was looking for Box type vehicle, but not available.
We first I sign up to do the share program. Got there for 8 am and the system then told me to wait till 9 am . 9 am came and I still had to wait another 45 min before I got the truck . I waste so much time .
I made a reservation for a 10 foot truck so I could move out of my apartment. When I got to the U-haul location, I was told that U-haul changed my reservation to a van without notifying me. When I asked the worker how this was possible, she was EXTREMELY rude and told me that it wasn't her fault and she couldnt help me get the truck I had reserved. The van was too small to fit all of my things and I couldn't complete my move out in one day. I was not offered any credit or money off even though I got a smaller van without notification. I would like an explanation on why I didn't get the truck I had reserved. My family has used U-haul for years but will not be using again after this horrible experience and service.
The counter lady's is worse and not helpful at all when I return the truck. I park in the back of the building part of U-Haul building Because this is my first time in her from Albany New York. I return the key inside and the counter lady said get the truck back and park in parking lot without any effort to explain
I was having problems with my phone app for auto check in so I turned to the staff at the counter for help and clearly she had an attitude towards it. Communication on rental return was confusing. The staff told me to wait for her to check the vehicle out because she was a bit backed up, I waited almost 30 minutes and then she turned out asking me why I was waiting for her!! These people made you felt like they don't want your business. Stay away from this location!

My experience with U-Haul Moving and Storage of Bellerose was excellent. I reserved a truck for the morning and was running late. The woman working the desk called to check if I was wanting her to hold my reservation. When I arrived the same woman at the desk was there and she made the process of obtaining the extra equipment and checking out a breeze. She handled another customer as well as a customer on the phone with ease. Some people would have been stressed out by the situation (the person on the phone was clearly not happy and was wanting the rules to be bent regarding who could access his storage unit), but this woman kept a smile on her face, a calm tone to her voice and set the person on the phone at ease while helping me and the other in-person customer. She created a very relaxing yet professional atmosphere. Upon my return, a different employee who came out promptly to greet me, was friendly and helpful and made the return process go smoothly. I would highly recommend this location. It's well run and full of extremely competent employees.
