The recommendations on the website for my 1100 sq ft townhouse , already 1/4 emptied were underestimated. I needed a truck after filling the Uboxes. Charlie apologized , helped me book a 15 foot truck immediately. I went and picked it up the next day. Everything went very smoothly except for needing more Uboxes than ordered. Next time I would over order since you do not charge fir boxes used. My first experience and I would absolutely recommend Uboxes! Charlie and Michelle went over and above with a special request I had too! Thank you Uhaul!

I wish the counter person would have better explained the mobile process for check-in and check-out. Everything was fine until I decided to move out. Two days later I was charged for the unit and returned that evening to sort it out. I was told to return the next day and speak with the manager. It was taken care of immediately, but it did unexpectedly make my acct negative and am still waiting for my refund. Hopefully this will not happen to anyone else again for it has been quite the hassle for me

Clean the passenger compartment of the vehicle. There was mud and garbage on the floor mats and inner side rails. There was dust and dirt on the dash, arm rests, and console. The cup holders were full of gummy gunk. stuck on dirt, and food waste. The passenger compartment was filthy. Had we not needed the vehicle we would have refused it in that condition.

It took almost 20 minutes to get approved checking in to grab a truck online. It was too long to not think there is an issue going on. Maybe type a disclaimer if this usually takes that amount of time. I was calling customer service at the 10 minute mark.

According to the manager/owner, you can't extend the rental of a dolly and moving pads without also extending the rental of a trailer. I returned the trailer after 30 hours of rental, left it in their after hours lot, followed the instructions to check it in. Their check in would not recognize the location (this happened to 2 other people I know and they also complained about it AND one of the employees acknowledged it was THEIR system that did not work properly). I called the manager the next morning to be sure the trailer was accounted for. She said she couldn't check the trailer in without the pads and dolly. However "on good faith" she DID check the trailer in anyway and rerented it to someone else. She charged me for 3 days of rental for ALL items, including the trailer that was returned after 30 hours. She refused to refund 1 day of trailer rental because the pads and dolly were not returned at the same time. She said their system wasn't broken, it was my phone that was broken. Beware of this location, I have heard this has happened multiple times. She is nasty to customers (although her staff seems to be pretty nice and easy going). I filed a fraud charge with my credit card so sadly instead of them refunding me 1 day of rental they will now owe all of it. Bad business owner, sad that she is tainting Uhaul's brand.

The only reason I answer ‘no' to a recommendation is because no one at this location wore a mask, unlike the Coon Rapids location I visited. I know this has become an ideological, rather than a health issue, but I am the essential caregiver of my 95yr. old parent, and appreciate businesses that can see the bigger picture.

Employees were great and helpful. I like the female fork truck drivers picking up and delivering the U-Boxes. They did excellent work and are very friendly. Handled the boxes very gingerly. The only issue I had was with my refund for the one U-Box I didn't use. Refund was on time but wasn't correct. After I called they fixed it right away. I also received many receipts and most of them didn't make sense. I was confused. I had to call a few times to figure things out. This could be cleaned up to avoid the confusion.

When trying to return the truck, we were not able to input the correct mileage during off hours checkout/vehicle drop off. So I believe we were over charged. In general, I thought the service was very good and very helpful. It was nice to have access to a Ubox and getting it dropped off with such short notice. Everything showed up within the windows of time agreed upon, and it was simple enough to call Uhaul to change the delivery time when our schedule changed. It really made the logistics of our move easier, and all our stuff showed up in the same condition in which we'd packed it. As far as things I would like to see addressed, my UBox arrived at my move-out location with a broken lower, door side joint which made closing the the box, getting the hasp to barely fit, and get a lock on extremely frustrating. Then, when my box arrived at its final destination, something had happened to the the vinyl covering, because it no longer had all the velcro attachment points for holding the large, unwieldy flap up and out of the way. In addition to that, the driver really didn't want entertain putting my UBox exactly where I wanted it, instead insisting on putting it somewhere 'good enough', which again, given the broken front joint, now made re- closing the door impossible. Silver-lining was that it just forced me to empty the box in one-fell-swoop and be done with my move, but really, it defeated the point of being able to securely lock the door and left a blemish on our otherwise great experience.

The Blaine MN supervisor was extremely rude. She was so bad, that I may never use Uhaul again. Secondly, each time I called re the service I was on hold for 40+ minutes just to talk to a real person. Third: The Redding, California employees were very accommodating & pleasant!

Appreciated the use of the 26' truck and the price was very good. On the negative side: 1) the staff answering the phone was not helpful in making the original reservation; 2) the lady checking me out with the truck DID NOT give proper instructions regarding checking certain features BEFORE I left the UHaul lot. I left the lot without doing anything and when I got to our house, a text came that said I had to do a number of things before using the truck. The text time ran out so that I could not do as was requested. The red Oil light was on and my wife had to spend 40 minutes on the phone trying to get instructions on what to do about that. I had to go buy oil to add to the truck. It was very stressful way to start the loading of the truck. 3) The same lady was on duty when I returned the truck and she was totally not interested in her mistake and didn't even apologize - just shrugged her shoulders. Note: The truck worked fine but was 1 quart low on oil which is NOT a good thing. Suggest that UHaul staff be instructed in improved communication and being more customer oriented!! Good grief, not even an apology.

You really want to charge $1.19 per mile and make us pay for the gas? What is that? It's overly expensive. The truck was old and felt like it was going to fall apart. If I'm paying $1.19 per mile I should be in a newer truck that drives well, not an old and loud inefficient piece of crap. Everything about your business is great but your price for what customers are getting is ridiculous.

My 24hr access didn't seem to ever work the last 3 month which made it impossible for me many times. Moving out could have been done on time had my gate access card worked. Very difficult to get moved out of storage in a timely manner when the best time to move is evening / nite time hours and you can't get in to your unit. But over all the last 6 years that I had my unit were great.

Customer service was horrible. I was accused of running the truck through a drive thru and damaging. When I told them I didn't not go thorough any drive thrus or damage the truck in any way I was told they had my license plate. There was damage on the truck that was later found to be on the truck when I left the lot. I waited outside while your employees went in to confirm with the restaurant that it was me. Which of course it wasn't. I waited for 15 to 20 min getting increasingly more upset. I had no idea what the hell was happening as I knew I didn't do what I was being accused of. Finally on of them return and started get milage and I am not sure what from the truck. He was on the phone with what I assumed was his manager. I over heard her telling him that I had signed off on the truck so it was my responsibility. I finally had to ask him what happened with the drive thur. He then told me that it was me because the damage didn't line up. So they apparently didn't have the licenses plate? Why would I be told that? I have never been in a scarier more intimidating situation when I had done nothing wrong. As It turned out the damage on the truck was from the previous customers and was seen on video. To my fault I missed it. It was at the top of the truck. It was also missed by who ever inspected it before I was given the truck. I will not be using this Uhaul again.

My reservation had already been transferred twice and then a store manager or owner flat out told me they wouldn't rent to us for a slightly extended time despite my willingness to pay a late fee. Not only did I spend money on a truck I didn't get I had to wait another five hours so I wouldn't go beyond 24 hours. The rest of the staff was very nice and amicable; the other person, very abrasive and felt unwelcome.

The staff was great; always friendly and helpful. We had three units for approx 9 months; spanning summer through spring. We were storing all our personal belonging from our home after we sold our home and were looking for a new one. All three units were outside. Unit One's plastic sheeting along the ceiling was 'flaking' and left everything in that unit extremely dirty. Unit Two had water on the floor at one point. We are assuming from the ceiling?? It caused an excess of humidity which ruined several items and required lots and lots of extra cleaning. For example, I had a Rock Salt lamp that sweated and left a salt residue all over the box it was in. Premium boxes that were supposed to last for several moves, caved in on themselves due to the humidity resulting in boxes we couldn't restack when moving, and damaged items. Unit Three had mice issues. Everything had to be sanitized; they climbed into the holes that you use to carry the boxes and had feces in 95% of the boxes. This unit housed all of our kitchen items, so probably had food smells which I'm sure attracted them as well. I spent weeks sanitizing every item I could, and threw away what I couldn't... that included linens, kitchen electronics, furniture, etc. We lost a lot of things. One thing to note is this unit is on the outside of the property which is next to a tree line, so we are assuming that is why we had issues with that one. We opted to go with the outside units because we wanted to save money. We have never used storage before and thought it would be fine. We were wrong. If we have to move again, we would never consider this as a viable option. That being said, the staff was great and very helpful.
