my first reservation was cancelled by a manager and he lied . he said i came in the day before and changed the reservation. the guy that is spoke to on sunday was rude. this mistake cost me money and tijme, i will never use u haul again. it would be a nice gesture if i compensated for my timewilliam H.

Everything was fine but I was called twice during the course of the rental 1st time to see if I was planning to keep it for the full 5 days I rented it and the 2nd on the day it was to be returned to see if I was going to return it. If I rent a vehicle for 5 days that means I will be using it for 5 days or else I would've rented it for less time. Also, I signed the rental agreement so I know when I need to return the vehicle. The calls were annoying and completely unnecessary they added to stress and slowed me down having to answer the calls.Christopher A.

My only complaint was that it was almost impossible to get in touch with a representative to schedule delivery of my boxes to the new location, an online option would have been nice. The representative Marisol Garcia was very rude. It was 15 minutes til closing and she did not want to take a return truck back. After telling her that other agents have taken returns at that time she started my return process. But she had a nasty attitude, she decided to take forever. After asking multiple times how much longer( because this was my 3rd car rental this year from here and knew the process), with an attitude she said I'll take as long as I want. This rep needs to be fired because her customer service skills are horrible.CESAR A.

We had a very intense snowstorm in Chicago the night before my return date. I was unable to return the trailer until my vehicle was able to make it out of the snow and safely drive in the streets. The entire city was practically on hold for 2-3 days due to reduced staffing in our Streets and Sanitation Department. However, I was charged for 3 days with no consideration for waiving any fees or having compassion towards the situation. Even in my attempt to drop off the trailer the night before my return date, and before the storm picked up very bad, I couldn't get into the lot because it was not salted or plowed. I had to return home. I explained my situation to the manager and staff to no avail. I'm very weary about u-haul right now. I've never had an experience this bad and I've been renting U-hauls for over 10 years.Najee Zaid S.

The older gentlemen whom was attending the register next to the young lady assisting me was extremely rude and kept commenting on our conversation. He refused to rent me a truck unless I would â€œprovide them with a number to call and verify who I wasâ€? Which has never in the 10 years I have been a customer of the same location occurred. I give a back up number which is on every invoice I've ever gotten but they claim they needed to speak with someone. I felt harassed and let down by the customer service at location the day of my rental. The team did not even pull the truck out of spot to assure cleanliness or to assure the equipment I ordered was in truck. Cab of truck contained garbage in a Burger King bad a smashed can and some balled up pieces of paper. When I asked the man for his name he refused to give it to me, he simply pulled a name tag off the counter next to him and pointed at it. I have no way of knowing what it said as I did not have my glasses with me. Had it been properly placed on his chest like it should have I could've got a glimpse of it when I was closer to the counter.ANDRES I.

I had been a customer for 4 years and things have improved so much. For example; the rotten problem has improved dramatucally, the storage area doesn't have a foul order or dead nice inside the vins. I rented two vins and because of change in management and staff, I decided to stay a customer for 4 years. However, the first two years as a renter were horrible but because I had an injury at work I couldnt lift anything heavy, that's why I stayed at that location for two more years. Beauty Payne called to arrange the drop off of our box. The apartment would not let us leave it there. She arranged for us to rent a truck to bring our belongings to load the U-Box. Your associates don't enforce rules for customers wearing a mask. A mandatory mask requirement is on the door and 3 customers in one party were in the store at the time of my return with no mask. I went there to rent a 10x30 on phone that was reserved a 10x30...instead I receive 2 10x15..unit wasnt long enough...and was held hostage there, not allowed to leave forced to rent a second truck when there were still 61/2 hours available on 1st truck, wasted 10 hours of time on use of minivan being stuck at facility unloading and reloading for 10 hours...being charged $500 a day to finishing packing a building whereas not getting any work there as was at 47th street location from around noon til 10pm. Reserved storage locker and will waiting for counter girl to prepare contract...she answered other call and made me stand there 25 minutes ...then finally finish rental...then took on tour of units left me standing in warehouse in my orthopedic book post amputation surgery to hobble around lost while they did something else. I am appalled at unprofessionalism, neglect and abuse by employees. Also reserved a truck at 2801 s. Pulaski and sat there for 3 hours trying to get different rental...which had a $50 Reservation guarantee be which I haven't received Your repeated lies and abuse are unreal. Good customer service and got the truck for a full 24 hours in August at the same place when I moved in I was told they don't do the 24 hours anymore I ended up being charged like 160 180 for the rental because a csr didn't know what they where talking about or just dumb af.
