Better maintenance of the trucks would help. Rented a truck that sounded like it had no exhaust and the other had a broken fitting on the top of the gas tank allowing fuel to spew everywhere. Dirty uhaul, got misinformed about many things, ordered a cargo van but it wasn't a one way which still got booked, then Couldn't get a 10 foot cube truck so ended up with a 15 foot cube truck. Was just a long horrible process & was very disappointed.Kenzie R.

The tire should be winterized on tha winter, and you should make it easier for the driver to start the engine. The truck I got yesterday was very hard to start, I have to wiggle wiggle the steering wheel before I can get to startaida B.

Sahil and Shon were just excellent. Sahil helped me yesterday, made sure to get the snow off the trailer, and did just an excellent job of hooking it up, despite the snow and the cold. I've rented from U-Haul many times, and this has been my best experience so far. I will definitely come back to this location in particular to rent in the future. Also, I'm so glad that I was finally able to rent a 12-ft trailer without the ramps. The ramps are pretty heavy and I have a hard time bringing them down and pulling them up, so I was glad to finally be able to get a trailer with just a gate. I love all the things you guys have done with this location. And your staff are excellent. Sahil and the lady who worked yesterday made a great first impression, and the two gentlemen today really ended everything on a high note. My reservation originally said to pick up at the Flying J- Southeast location. When I arrived, I was told I was rudely advised that I was at the wrong location. Staff were FANTASTIC, plenty of fires to put out with the customers around and they were working very hard, there were only 2 of them. Poor review is for the branch, employees were great please recognize them for their hard work. Under staffed causing major delays for everyone in the store. I also reserved a 6x12 enclosed trailer online, but when I arrived it was not available. I then had to settle for an open trailer, clean the snow out of it. During the rental I noticed one of the tires was worn down to the chords and was bald on the inside. Definitely shouldnt have been rented. Overall experience was poor/inconvenient but I was able to get what I needed to done by tarping the trailer. Spent roughly 2 hours picking up at the store. Previous U-Haul rentals have gone much much smoother than this one.Mason J.

Was promised a unit for $140/month with a free month included and was instead charged $300 and was contacted to be charged an additional $300 , after only a two month period. Elevator was broken during move out which caused a large inconvenience by having to move heavy furniture etc down stairs, which we received no compensation for. Overall the unit itself was fine, but was overcharged and unhappy with the move out.Hannah O. | Overall Experience
The staff is wonderfully friendly and accommodating when you can actually engage with them. The responsiveness to telephone calls is poor; either locally or on the 800 line. Multiple attempts to phone were simply automatically placed on hold. The vehicles were superficially cleaned with wrappers and previous customer paperwork left in vehicles. Rather than perform a walk through I was asked to photograph and submit my photos as evidence of vehicular condition as well as mileage and fuel level. In fact, the fuel level was considerably lower on vehicle pick up than indicated on the invoice. There was also a significant crack in the front windshield. In sum, there is too great a demand for the availability of supply of staff and equipment. I have rented uhaul vehicles on too many occasions to count; I note a significant deterioration with customer service this time around.Christopher W.

Everything was good, just one thing. unfortunately there was no windshield wiper fluid. I didn't even think to check myself. Seriously the language barrier was something else i speak english and when they spoke back i could not understand them , however when the rental writer used his 2 way radio he spoke in his own middle eastern language to the other employee . Got it.... ..... very uncomfortable as i sat there not knowing anything they were saying and as he tried to tell me something like going online it was to painful to comprehend anything he said . returning the equipment samething . And tell me why would i recommend this location to my friends so they can go through the same confusion as i did .......NOT ....and BTW i was needing a car trailer to rent in a month but asking the question on how much weight they can haul would have been to time consuming to even communicate that .for a answer i would be able to understandroddy M.

The 20' truck had only 1/4 gas in it upon pickup and the truck didn't run very well at all, very rough driving for only a truck with 95,000 kms. I would suggest gassing them up and making sure the motor maintenance on them are done regularly. Good priceKarrie B.

There are security upgrades going on at this facility that have reduced the access hours down to match the office hours. This change has not been indicated on the answering service or the google profile, both of which still indicate access until 10pm on Saturday. Imagine my surprise and inconvenience when I showed up at 6:30 with a loaded truck, and am told that access ends at 7:00pm. Luckily I had a second day of rental on the truck and was able to come back Sunday. This is my only complaint with this facility. I came here for a hitch installation. This location was very disorganized and unprofessional. The hitch installer called me asking to reschedule the appointment. I had to call back 4 times to arrange the appointment time - either I didn't get through, or I was on hold for 15-45 minutes. Eventually I hung up and called back, and the lady didn't even realize I was still on hold. I honestly think they don't know how hold works, and we're just going to leave me on the phone. Then on the day of my appointment, they just never called me to tell me my car was ready. I called them, no answer. I called the hitch installation guy who had asked to reschedule the appointment originally, and he wasn't even working. He had to call the location to confirm my car was done, then call me back. The whole process was confusing and ridiculous, and no one knew what was going on the whole time. I had to follow up with them for any information. Terrible experience, would not recommend.Jenni B.

I had reserved my storage. I received confirmation # and storage unit info confirming my reserved storage and booked time. When I arrived to unload my Uhaul truck the clerk said they do not have the uniit available. It should have been because I booked it. I had a truck full to unload. They said ih we usually call to confirm . No one called. She gave me another higher priced unit. I have one month free. She then said they are closing in 15 minutes. But the site said access to storage unit from 5AM - 10:00 PM Sundays. Very disappointing when you book and reserve a storage unit. Laziest manager ever. Case in point. I'm there last night loading. He comes harassing me to move my car because they're locking the overhead doors. So im trying to corral some empty carts back onto the elevator with your manager standing there and do you think he could have helped guild them in? Maybe at least hold the elevator door open? Not a chance . Well that let me know how much I should care so just left them on the elevator. Apparently decentcy isn't a thing there. The place is under construction and is very inconvenient to load/unload, the exit overhead door wasn’t available and I had to back the trailer up the the unload location instead of just driving forward, I had my storage unit on second floor and the elevator was not working, looked like they didn’t care getting it fixed right away and a lot of people including me had to bring all the heavy loads on the stairs, they never brought a technician to fix the elevator and I probably spent 3 more extra hours just because the elevator was not working.josue C. | First Impressions

I have closed my rental yesterday because I am moving out of the province. I made sure with the lady who checked me out that I have emptied and took all my stuff in the storage. I told her that the unit was open and unlocked as I have taken my lock and my keys with me. I asked her to check and inspect to make sure that everything are ok BUT she said everything should be ok. I know that was NOT the normal policy as I have rented with UHaul many times but she said no need to checked my rented unit. So to make the story short she have closed my agreement and made sure that I am not getting charge and she said all was done and the account was closed. Three hours later the lady called me up and asked me to come back to open my rental unit because it was closed. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED I told her that I have my locked and my keys with me somebody must have locked the unit without communicating with their fellow co workers. The staff seemed unprepared, and lacking in knowledge. When we first arrived, we were told that there was no booking under our name. After showing the staff my emailed confirmation, they pulled up our information without issue. I was sincerely disappointed in this, and it required me to find a charger so that I could pull up my emailed confirmation, and added unnecessary stress. After checking in, we were sent to a locker that already had a lock on it. I then had to wait in line again, to inform them that this locker was not vacant. An unreasonable amount of time was spent addressing these issues. The unit itself was advertised as ample storage for a studio-1 bedroom apartment. It was not, but at the stage this was realized we were unwilling to wait on staff to find an alternative. Pass-thru storage parking is great specially if you have a trailer to unload. Only problem during my storage rental experience is the maintenance work done and the pass-thru gate closed requiring to turnback inside the crowded parkway. The staff is extremely helpful, they answer all your questions and assist with whatever you need while moving your belongings. The only disadvantage is that there was a problem with the keypad and the facility wasn’t available 24/7 yet but I was promised it’s work in 1-2 days.
