The odometer reading was not visible when engine was started. A non obvious button needed to be turned to display it. This should have been done when the vehicle was prepped for next rental. A tow/haul light was lit on the dashboard evidentally meaning that the truck wa as in that function. No obvious way to switch ig off. Consequently, gas mileage sucked

I absolutely DO NOT appreciate the attempt to charge me a “Cleaning Fee” for a truck that was delivered to me in a filthy dirty condition!! And then when I questioned the “return person,” about this validity of this charge, his response was, “well, you can go inside and dispute it with them.” How can you deliver a truck that is absolutely filthy dirty, and then try to charge the customer for a cleaning fee??? And then on top of that, there was a large amount of “un-marked” damage to the truck that i had to photograph and document prior to taking the truck off the lot. A 100% unsatisfactory experience from this location, which used to be way better than it was today!!! Something needs to be done to improve this location’s overall customer service!

The person at the desk that helped me was very courteous and professional. He helped me through the whole process and made me feel like an important customer. After I finished getting the truck I went back in to use the restroom before leaving and as I was passing through he asked again if I had everything I needed. Great service. The person who checked me in on return was also very helpful and courteous (Joseph Perez?). Also while I was waiting for Joseph to return to the check in area, a young lade let me know that he would be with me shortly. Nice people! Made a somewhat stressful day much easier. Thanks!

Not only did I have to help move trailer with dolly to get it connected to my truck- it was up to me to take pics with my phone of trailer damages prior to rental (glad I had phone). After leaving and about 8 miles from location the trailer tire blows out. Called U Haul immediatley ( took approx 15 minutes to speak with a live person) and was told they do not have someone to fix tire- "this has neot happened in a very long time.). Very frustrated at this point. Called another U Haul # and they told me to log onto U Haul Roadside Assistance (again glad I had phone) and after an 1 1/2 or so it was repaired. The mechanic that showed up was actually vey nice and did a great job. He replaced 2 tires on the trailer as he felt the second tire was not safe as well When I went to return trailer a few days later- it was just like when I first picked up..... several people in line and only 1 person working counter. A complete waste of time unless you have sevaeral hours with nothing to do. I WILL NEVER US U HAUL AGAIN AND WILL LET ALL MY FRIENDS KNOW OF MY EXPERIENCE

Make sure equipment is present when pick up time is scheduled. Confirm locations instead of “just notes on the account”. Originally, I was told everything was updated and then I called again to make sure and it was a location that was locked up and no overnight drop off when I asked two different times. I was transferred to five different people on three different calls. One person was rude and hung up on me. Better customer service and clear communication and expectation of what is going on would help.

The Hispanic employee was helpful and respectful but the white employee lack customer relationships he was reluctant to answer question and pretends to be so busy and just tell you to read the instructions on the trailer.

First off I reserved a truck at the Valencia location ( near Denny’s ) for 1030 pick up ,,, I get there and they have a sign that says ( be back at 1200),, on the window ,, frustrated as ever ,,, I called and they made me drive to the canyon CPI try location where the guy was rude behind the desk ,, when I returned the truck , there were a couple of leaves in the back and the guy said I need to get in there and sweep it up or they were gonna. Charge me ,, ,, I was very disappointed yesterday with your service ,,, I was furious , I want some kind of refund

The location was perfect for me, the truck was for the most part clean when picked up just the cup holders had crumbs of food inside besides that everything else seemed clean, but I wouldn’t recommend anyone uhaul rental especially after hours to receive the experience like I did. I was back and forth with customer service do to the long waits on the phone, being transferred to different departments, one representative literally not knowing my final rate and quote was for a 24 hour rental period not hourly, the truck that was reserved for me at pick up was blocked, I had to call customer service again to be held on the phone for 20 mins In the evening with gusts of harsh cold wind waiting with a dying phone for a new truck .... I was only dropped off to the location .... because reservations as everywhere else is meant as a priority and easy check in easy check out ....... but i guess finding out a third party company handles after hours and take their sweet time to understand as a customer my situation waiting outside with almost a dead phone and no car to leave with and being placed on hold every time I told the representative my phone is dying can you process the new truck faster please literally begging to have mercy and I don’t know if he was just trying to get under my skin but he seemed to intentionally place me on another hold.... I had an awful experience I couldn’t refer anyone after hours to uhaul or suggest to call customer service knowing the numerous transfers and long repetitive holds they could get as well. I’m honestly considering Home Depot truck rental next time. I woke up with my throat hurting of the 35 minute wait to leave with the truck.

1. Staffing, not enough employees on hand. Why go through the online process when you just have to wait for 40 minutes in the line with everyone else? 2. Renting a 15’ box van with a quarter tank of fuel??? Are you kidding me? First stop get gas... unacceptable, if I hadn’t waited so long to get the damn van, I would have requested another one. 3. Returning the van, later that day... again staffing... another 30+ minutes in line to return... unbelievable... 4. I will say, the employees that were on duty were very nice when a asked to speak to a manager. However, you guessed it no manage on duty. I will go out of my way to never use U-Haul again..

After entering my vehicle information online and my vehicle and towing hook up was approved. When I arrived to connect my vehicle they told me they would not rent to me due to my tow ball being on the bumper. I have used the same vehicle there twice before for the same trailer.

I have rented from this location several times in the last month and each time I have experienced extremely long wait times in checking in. I have movers that I was paying by the hour and actually wasted over and hour and a half just in checking in and out. I complained that there was only two clerks. They said that computers were extremely slow. Nonetheless was frustrating and unacceptable as a customer. Something needs to be done to better your customer service. My experience would be rated as very poor.

Cancelled my reservation for being 15 minutes late. Refused to rent the prior reserved van because I haven’t changed my license to the new state in the three days I’ve been here. Had to have a 15’ truck that ended up bouncing the 55” tv around too much and busted it. Large truck also cost me more for the day and I’m gas. Huge loss and ripoff.

Made a reservation for an enclosed trailer for a 930 pick up. None avail. Then to find out the manager changed my pick up time and I was never notified. I had several movers that I was paying standing around for an hour that was wasted that I had to pay for. Very very upsetting and a complete bad experience

I have rented many times from Uhaul over the years. I have rented from Uhaul in many states and even in Canada. The Canyon Country, Ca. is by far my favorite location. The staff is always helpful and courteous. But, Michael is the one that keeps it all flowing over there. He's the best you can get.

The trucks alignment was so far off, the steering wheel was pointing to the left and it was driving half straight. I was soo scared, driving a 26 foot truck plus my car towed to the back of it. For 6 hours! Driving below the speed limit because I was nervous the car would swerve because the alignment was off. It was extremely unsafe.

I made a reservation with a Visa debit card, the day of rental i showed up 8am was told i couldn't use this card to keep on file so i had to reschedule my move, i had to ask a family member to use her Visa bank card, she came down to put it on file, on return of the truck i went to pay the $113. I tried my visa debit card and it showed NO MONEY i said i don't understand why there is no money, so i called my card and they said there was a payment of $189. To U-Haul, i told the girl she looked at me and said "oh yeah ok i'll refund you your money" just like that no apology, no explanation of why they told me in the begining i couldn't use my card (and had to reschedule my move THE DAY of MY MOVE) Then they used it anyway for payment and overcharged me which i still haven't gotten back. When i returned i waited 15min. in line for a girl to tell me to park under the green tarp to check out, then we waited 20min behind 3 trucks that were waiting, so i walked to the front and there was nobody in those trucks they were being washed, i asked the guy where do i check out and he said inside i said she just told me to come out here, then he said ok hold on ill do it. This location was a complete nightmare from begining to end i will not recommend this location to anyone!

Michael made check out of truck a breeze.... Quick. Efficient. Knows his stuff! Very cordial. When it was time to check truck in, R. Gomez made it quick and easy. Mr. Gomez was also a terrific guy. Based on these two men and the excellent service, I would recommend your U-Haul site to everyone. Thank you for a very pleasant experience.

I was first one there @ 6:45. Opens at 7:00 am. Office gentleman open the doors at 6:59 am . He was great, professional and efficient. Went back to pick up the 6x12 Trailer. The Gentleman who put the Trailer on my truck/ drop hitch was just as professional and professional as the front office. 10 plus is my rating.... Apologize I didn’t remember their names but they were terrific. Turn it in several hours later received the same level of excellent customer service from the same two gentlemen.... Thank you!

I was unable to schedule a drop-off with these guys after 4 days of unanswered voicemails. I wound up using their Moving Help service that hires a third-party mover to deliver the U-Box.

Communication was very difficult. It took 6 mo. for the pickup of the U-Box after requesting the removal of the box. Very frustrating. Everyone I talked to was most considerate but no pickup occurred.

U-box arrived late by U-Haul & no confirmation after delay. I paid for U-Haul to deliver my u-box but they did not & I ended up paying twice for movers to deliver it. Everyone played dumb about it.

I don't even have items in storage with this location, yet they bill me and put liens on imaginary storage units. U-HAUL IS A FRACTURED BUSINESS. By far, the worst storage experience in 57 years.
