Bait and switched. Made a reservation for a auto trailer, said my truck couldn't handle the weight (wrong). Was forced to spend an extra $150 on a truck rental. Gas refill estimates was wrong have a quarter tank extra gas back and didn't receive credit back for the gas. Horrible scam by uhaul.CORY D.

Busy busy place both on a weekday & Saturday. Above average experience because of Fairelynn who is amazing and extremely helpful and friendly given how busy the place is. Poor experience due to the Manager (not sure of his name) who was rude and condescending. We are extremely happy with the service the staff and drivers provided. Especially Billy and Daniel were outstanding. We were also impressed to see that all the truck drivers were women. Way to go, guys!!! The only thing we would like to see improved is the notification timeline. Box arrival location was not as helpful as the first drop-off location in California. Location in Philadelphia was not helpful with information and did not seem to want to help. Unpacking the ubox and moving to a storage unit at the facility took two hours to get a unit because we were sent back and forth around the warehouse to get answers from different people. The loading dock was far away from the storage units and made it difficult to unload the ubox since someone had to stay behind with the box outside. Once the unit was emptied, it went smoother and were able to do everything easier when we were on our own.Devyn G.
The check engine light was on the vehicle, the gas gauge was malfunctioning, the back was dirty, there were some damage not reported and the ramp was not working. Worst experience I have had with this site in 20 years. I recommended this truck not be sent out until repaired so other customers would not have my negative experience. The delivery driver who dropped off my Ubox to my home (final destination) was very friendly, accommodating and skilled - it was a very pleasant experience! The process of coordinating when/how my Ubox would initially be delivered on site at my storage unit was a little lost in translation between uhaul employees but it ended up working out fine, just a heads up that a notes database for each customer/call to be logged in once place could be helpful for each new employee that speaks to the same customer (if that's not something you do already), but totally understand that things just slip through the cracks sometimes and every person I talked to was extremely kind, patient and accommodating, so overall I had a great experience! Apace was a little tight and the staff werent very helpful to me i had to go and ask someone for assistance after I got my truck and was looking for my dolly. Person behind the counter apparently didnt tell him i was coming? Either way, the checkout process was efficient, the truck was in good working order and the guy i reached out to was great.Brahms B.
The clerk was very helpful and professional that is the only reason why I would recommend the location, but my experience was really bad. When I return the truck (4 hrs later I rented), and followed the instructions of uhaul.com/share, the system did not recognize my info, I called the 800# and after waiting for over 20 minutes, I spent 22 minutes having an agent putting a note on the system that the truck was returned and that I had problems w/ the system. Today, I woke up to an invoice from UHAL in which I was charged for another day even after I retuned the truck on the same day and 2 hours earlier of the scheduled time to return it. Today, I called the UHAL location twice, the 1st time I waited 20 plus minutes and no answer, the second call, I waited over one hour to speak to a rep who was able to fixed the mistake made by UHAUL when charging me. I cannot believe the wait times in your phone lines and I can't believe UHAUL will charge for an extra day for no reason creating an inconvenience for me and messing up with my schedule for the day.Vania V.

Although I had reserved with my credit card and the disabled senior gentleman that we moved decided to pay for the rental with his debit card. I wonder how many days it will take for the charges to be removed from my credit card. I certainly hope there won't have to be any additional action required of me to resolve this situation. The U-box i was given was clearly dropped and fell apart. The ceiling was replaced and two of the walls were falling off and screwed back on very poorly. Half of my items were broken. My TV, table, many of my dishes and other delicate items were smashed. My moving boxes were ripped open. My mattress has tears in it. All of my stuff was rearranged, even though my box was locked. I will be contacting uhaul customer service about this. I had to leave my table in the box because uhaul screwed it into the wall. You also screwed into my clothes. I was never contacted about any damage to my u-box which is completely unacceptable. Luckily, I took pictures of my packed u-box before I left it in uhaul's care to show the condition i left the box in. This has been a terrible experience for me.Summer S.

Personnel was not helpful and signage for drop off was not highly visible. I waited in line for over 15 minutes only yo be greeted rudely. I was told I had to park the truck in a specific place and them was rudely greeted by a guy eating a donut who made me wait for him to finish eating and then wait for him to inspect the truck. When I questioned why I had to wait he got in my face and said that it was their policy. I told him to back off and to put on the mask he had around his neck instead of on his face . Horrible service. Trying to call the office.always being transferred to call center. Call center called 3 times always got different response to my issue. Never knew if it was handled and couldn't talk to mang at the canyon country location because they always had calls being forwarded. Call center put in messages for them to call or email by end of day 2 times. That never happened. Had to wait to access box because no one forklift cert. Until afternoon. Made me wait because of loading a truck or unloading. Many problems with the system. Overall need to train call center people better and office peeps need to be better and following up on call center calls emails phone calls. Accessing the gate was often a challenge due to various crates/trailers/trucks etc being obstacles. In some cases this also impeded access to the building itself. So, after booking a 26ft trailer two weeks in advance and getting cancelled three days in before a move and tight timeframe, thankfully Lorna from the Storage King location was so kind to help us out and give us some tips. I get that people extend their rental, which is what we did Saturday morning to be met with scare tactics and a severely upset employee from Canyon County location. Corporate UHaul is great with customer service but there really should be someone who does quality control checks on independent stores. We always use U-Haul for all our moving needs and let our family and friends know the ease of it online. I really think U-Haul has a unique advantage over all others. For the first time, we used the recommended movers.com to help us. Much to our dismay, the movers in AZ cancelled at 11:00AM. We were charged and additional $140.00 for the last minute replacement. As a company, they are not up to the same standards that U-Haul has. Even though it was their mistake, they made us pay for it. Our hands were tied since we were on a tight schedule. I hear that you are not associated with them, just thought you might want to know about our experience with the first mover group, especially since they didn’t show up, we can’t put that experience on their website I am told. I had reserved a van in advance. When I arrived there were six people standing in line and only one person processing arrivals. I had to stand for 35 minutes. The young man behind the desk was cheerful, but the facility was woefully understaffed during Christmas week.
