This location needed more staffing that day. Staff was overwhelmed. When discussing the fuel tank leak with staff, I was told that add made an error in fueling truck. The staffer just did not listen. Asked for a one-way. 24 hours prior to pick up while I was travelling there was told you can't have a one-way from this location. I had to go back to where I had come from to pick up another trailer and drive that trailer over 400 km was told I was going to get a discount and did not. I have two recommendations 1. change your site if you cannot offer one ways during the summertime then don't offer it and 2. if you say you're going to give a discount then give it.Donald A.

My truck and car dolly were both late,costing me alot more money because I had to pay my movers twice. There was no moving dolly in the truck and that was supposed to be included in my cost. I was told cash was acceptable but not told about all the deposits I had to make. I'm disabled so again I was short money for my move.I am just today getting an email that I didn't return the truck and car dolly which is ridiculous because this was over a month ago,and the guy in Three Hills gave me part of my deposit back. Nobody checked the truck and we realized it didn't have as much gas as it should have,so again I lost money because they charged me $30 to put a very small amount of gas in it. Again, I qas NOT informed of this charge. I brought back the truck with the same amount of gas that I took it. All of these inconveniences cost me $500 more than I had budgeted. I almost didn't make it because I had no more money for gas. I contacted your offices several times and told by 3 different people that I'd be hearing from the head office and get reimbursed for all the crap I had to deal with. I wouldn't recommend using this company again. I have not heard from anyone at your head office or anywhere else except for the email today saying I didn't return the truck and dolly,which was returned more than a month ago. I had to put stuff in the storage facility for the 30 free days but am unable to pay as my disability has not been sent. I have valuables in that facility and have called Alex,and sent emails explaining my situation. I owe 1 month and the next is due,which is puzzling because I was supposed to get 30 free days. It would be nice to hear from someone in your head office to discuss this and get compensation for the many many problems I had. I think 2 more months of free storage is acceptable. I had to pay $217.00 (truck $100, $car dolly $75, moving dolly $12, and only received around $70!! I'm owed this money!! So I still want the rest of my deposit and 2 months more free storage. Please ensure that your agents explain how to use the online check-in. The agent did not mention in any way that i needed to complete the check-in/check-out process online. It would have been very helpful to know that i have to stay at the u-haul location in order to complete the check-out because the check-out process does not let you proceed without tagging your location to make sure you dropped it off in the right location. So then i had to stay on hold and make multiple calls in order to get my receipt, hoping that the agent checked-in the vehicle manually.Angela K.

Because I know the customer service is at a low point right now. And things can improve. I'm a longtime customer who rents every single month as I run a moving company. But my recent visit to uhaul in Winnipeg on Dufferin Ave has got to be the worst experience I have had at a U-Haul. 4 people ahead of me at 9:30 am and it took an hour to get served. I was also given a dirty muddy truck box. And I complained about that the day before when given a dirty muddy truck and for that was given another dirty muddy truck. Called the number UHaul number to discuss with agent and booked larger with her. Had to drop off original at original location and pickup new one at new location - which was fine but I was told there would be no charge for the original 10' rental I had as it was not used at all. Truck was at the wrong location and was not updated on my reservation on the website, so had to coordinate a ride halfway across the city at the last minute, delaying me about half an hour. The roads are dirty this time of year, but neither the outside nor inside of the truck had been cleaned recently. Note that you cannot adjust the side mirrors of their 10' trucks without tools, which seems like a major safety concern. The truck I got had been adjusted for someone much, much shorter than me.Alexander K.

My trailer/service location was altered several times including the day of moving. I don't really see the point in pre-booking if I am being sent around the city, and downgraded trailers. I had to make it work, but it took more trips and seemed like all staff involved were disorganized.Julian H.
The person whom I spoke to when picking up the van was polite and friendly, but: 1) the person whom I spoke to couldn't process my reservation (time, pickup location, moving equipment changed multiple times by uhaul CS - not requested), ended up cancelling and making a new one after 30 min wait 2) the van I got had a hole in the roof. I waited an hour until they figured this can't be fixed, and another 40 min for another van to arrive 3) the replacement cabin was extremely dirty and sticky 4) no compensation was offered due to the late pickup The whole experience was extremely stressful and caused a lot of issues and delays for the next two days since I needed the truck for a one way move from MB to AB.Anna M.

The staff were all fine, the problem with this location was the parking lot. My 10ft truck got stuck on ice today four times, first from just pulling the damned thing out of the lot. It got stuck on ice in two seperate back alleys, which I admit was my fault, but what wasn't my fault was getting stuck returning the truck to the lot. My buddy and I attempted to pull the truck in from the side street, only to get stuck on ice in the entrance. The security camera should show my buddy and I trying to push the fucking truck for about 10-20 minutes around 9:30PM on March 16th. It's clear the truck did not have winter tires, considering the Arizona plates. Again, the issues in the back alleys were our fault, I will admit, but if your trucks aren't gonna have winter tires then they shouldn't be getting stuck in your parking lot just trying to get in and out. The sludge and ice in your parking lot need to be dealt with. This was an absolutely grueling experience today and if I ever rent a U-haul again, I'm sure as shit not doing it in winter.James N.

The location was good but in a rough part of town. As for the van â€¦ the major complaint was the drive tires! They had NO TRACTION !!! I have no idea why they weee using steering tires on the drivers. They were slippery and I got stuck in my driveway when it was empty. With those tires , it is an accident waiting to happen!!! We had rented a cargo van. When we got there, it stated on the document that the van had 1/8 of a tank of gas. Very surprising that it would be given to us this low. However, when I checked the vehicle, the needle literally was on empty. Furthermore, the van was parked in nearly of foot of snow which made a walk-about inspection very difficult. Once we concluded the van didn't have any damage that we needed to point out, we had to spend several minutes cleaning snow and ice off the vehicle and its front window (with our own scraper). We wasted a lot of time at this location with these issues and were very late getting to our pick-up point.DONALD G.

This is the worst rental experience we have had a uhaul. We rented from regent and we're notified the day before that we were being switched to the differin location. Once we arrived the gentlemen working the counter could not be bother to put a mask on. We then we're instructed to head around back to get out truck. Every other time we have rented it's been brought up from and has been warmed or ready. It was -26. Once we got to the truck we found the truck covered in ice and snow and backed into a snow bank. There was no snow brush in the truck so we had to use our hands to clean it off. At this point we could also not fully inspect the truck. Once we got to our destination we noticed the back of the truck was open and full of snow. There was also garbage present and no dolly or furniture pads. We had to waste time and call to make sure this wouldn't be an issue and we received no sorry and yeah sure I'll just mark it. As the back was covered in snow we had to shovel it out and it was extremely slippery from this. The fuel tank was less than what the rental agreement was. As a blizzard formed in the late afternoon the road conditions deteriorated and because the truck tires were so bald we got stuck. We tried calling the location to say we would be late as roads were bad and so was traffic, not to mention getting stuck. They were closed before the posted closing time. We arrived and there were many vehicles present so the were clearly closed for a while. We followed the instructions for after hours drop off via mobile and nothing worked. We were forced to leave the vehicle then to find the next morning we were charged an after hours drop off fee of 20.00. Will never rent from this location again and will be disputing the charges as the equipment provided was inadequate and so is the staffAnthony T.

He made me feel like a valued client when he shared his experiences about some vehicles getting stuck in the snow and the probability of that occurring with my rental. Some cleaning or something went on and some black dust was in our unit from the open ceiling and went all over our belongings in the unit! We had to brush off everything before moving out. Also it is good you guys are open 7 days a week but NOT having 24 hour access to the unit is NOT good when you have customers that work long hours and need to get into the unit. I was told we could only access the unit during certain hours 7am to 7pm Mon to Thursday and until 8pm on Friday and on 5pm on Sundays. the only issue is personal injury. the overhead door to my space has s rope loop hanging from the bottom as a handle for shorter people (I am 6'8). I was trying to remove a metal chair feom a highrt up spot in the locker, the chaiir came loose, I tried to back away, but the back of my head got caugjt in the rope loop hanging from the bottom of the overhead door and the metal chair hit me in my mouth breaking my teeth. the staff were not knowledgeable about things. the attitude was less than acceptable. i got improperly charged for the uhaul truck rental and still am working on that issue. overall not a good experience/ the floor in the building was all broken up so made moving the cart difficult. the yes or no part of your review is not accurate either as there are parts that the answer is of a partly nature, as in parts of the facility clean and well maintained and other parts not like the floor area near the entrance of the storage area is broken up, anyway i am displeased with being charged when i was told no charges for the extra days or mileage with the truck. i have been a uhaul user for many years and this is my first encounter of not being satisfied. please fix the issue of the charges. thank you. Facilities were easily accessible and I was happy to get a unit close to the entrance. The price was competitive with other units. However, there was only one person working in the store at the time, and he was in the break room when we arrived an hour after opening, so we waited outside the locked door for about 5 minutes for him to come outside. He was very friendly but continually mis entered information, like the address and our names, and otherwise asked for information I didn't have (like a Manitoba drivers license). He also did not give us the unit number until after we got into the storage area because he'd forgetten.
