Facilities were easily accessible and I was happy to get a unit close to the entrance. The price was competitive with other units. However, there was only one person working in the store at the time, and he was in the break room when we arrived an hour after opening, so we waited outside the locked door for about 5 minutes for him to come outside. He was very friendly but continually mis entered information, like the address and our names, and otherwise asked for information I didn't have (like a Manitoba drivers license). He also did not give us the unit number until after we got into the storage area because he'd forgetten. Although I did not require self storage for my first move, I did require it for my second move. The staff is great in all respects and I am very happy with the cleanliness and security inside the storage area. Card access to gain building entry and secure monitored access to your heated rental unit is just great. The employee working was fine. However the entire process was garbage. Booked the reservation using a debit visa, was confirmed and accepted no problems. Arrived on time to get truck, app told me i had to go in and swipe my card. Stood in line for 20 mins. Finally got keys, had to use phone again to mark fuel, update pics, miles on the vehicle. Was 40 minutes late leaving the lot. Upon return had to again use my phone and do your jobs for you. I guess having an employee go out and record this crap was costing you guys an arm and a leg. No worries ill just hire a mover next time i need a truck. $79 for a uhaul and a bunch of wasted time and frustration or $150 for a moving company that also does the lifting Pretty easy choice.ALEX C.

This is the second time I've rented from this location. The service was great, the vehicle was very clean and ran beautifully. I chose the after- hours drop-off which worked perfectly for me. I also took a free month of storage in their very secure and clean storage rental area. I will definitely continue doing business with this location. Options for the size of vehicle we wanted like to check other Winnipeg locations for a vehicle closer to the size we required or offer phone numbers for the locations. I went in to rent a van was told I needed a credit card I don't have one so the only other option was a 26 foot truck. If I had thought of the above menned option before the hourLeonard H.

The morning I went to pick up the truck. The guy was 15 mins late. When he did open the store he didn't say sorry for keeping me waiting. I was quoted for 20 kms. I only used 10 kms. So I was charged the full 20kns. I don't think I'll be coming back to U-HaulTREVOR L.

The truck was badly maintained. The wheel alignment was off and the steering wheel was way off the centre, no cruise control like i had on your other trucks, it was a very long, hard trip because i had to fight the steering wheel and no cruise control. The pickup location of the trailer has changed 3 times around the city even though i book weeks prior and got the confirmation that everything will be available. When i went to pick up the trailer there was only 1 person in the store and it was busy so the guy could not assist me properly. Representative was doing his best though and i would rate him 5 star. Eventually in an hour after arrival i was able to pick up the trailer. Bad experience.Oleksii B.

The plastic on the dolly was broken when we picked up the truck. The drivers side door would not close properly and we had a hard time putting the truck into gear. We complained at the desk when we dropped the truck off and little was done for us. We were still charged full price for a truck that would not pass a simple safety. I will not be using this service in the future and will be passing this experience along to my friends and family.Macy P.

Clarify the access availability to the unit. Entry and or Access flexibility. I broke my femour a few days after I rented the unit and had to replace the ball in my hip. As such my ability to deal with the unit and contents became dependant on help. My finances very limited, I enjoyed family members who are night owls. ( Nice way of saying these were the only ones I could barter with). I would be open to a work share type of barter I could merchandise data entry clean in the day hours if another employee would be open to be available in the hours after location closing. Of course scheduled hours Or is there another option for entry after location closing hours? I would like to add I have dealt with three different locations with the U-Haul company and two other storage / truck rental companies in the past 7 years. The U-Haul on Arlington in Winnipeg was one of the downright overtly condescending chovinist humans I have met I give thanks they are fewer and father apart in my experience. It was the co worker response (appeared stumped, eyes went wide then "huh" and thenappeared lost for a few secs while he was listening to insane comments and questions from the other guy. The total honesty, (with his non verbal response) respect for all in the room (he did remain friendly firm with me and did not contribute to the obvious lack of hearing on my side as well as his co-workers blank spots. He offered me an option that showed me he heard what I said and brought clarity to the situation long enough for me to leave with dignity and respect that it was not personal and not Uhaul. All other dealings were lukewarm This location here in Winnipeg on Dufferin Avenue has been simply AMAZING. The customer service is outstanding. The level of care and satisfaction you feel after talking with them about questions or concerns is excellent and that's throughout the staff hours and personal! There's a gentle and general sense of humour and ease that goes with a practical approach to being helpful that is sooooo welcome. I can not remember dealing with a group of people who model a professional and cohesive unit. I say this simply because in the last two weeks I have dealt with all the personal for one reason or another and at different times of the day and in different states of mind (I was so upset and confused one day and their response was respectful and clarifying as to how they could help me. I will recommend highly this location and I mention the troubleshooting humourous cohesive unit of personal there in my conversations with others.Leonard H.

Our original trailer that was to be picked up at the Century location was not available. we were not notified prior to the pick up. we were therefore sent to the Dufferin location. We were told that we were receiving a $50 credit because of the trailer not being available as we had booked. When we got to the Dufferin location the employee told us he would not honour the credit, he was rude and the trailer was dirty. he swept out the trailer after we asked him to, we took our rental and we will attempt to look after our credit with the Century location. The car was not clean forced to sit on some hard cartoons because the seat was dirty, and above all they have added the millage which i hadn't travelled. From Uhual duferene to ikea is 24km but they said i had gone 66km, i have asked even to check where i had gone on the gps, but he said that they dont have access to that, and when he is giving me he didnt even check it for me not even told me about the milage.Isaias W.

After I loaded the truck I tried to started the engine and the battery was dead. By coincidence the manager called me at the same time, asked how was being my experience, I explained and said that I was waiting a friend to come and help me to boost the battery. The manager was just concerned about the time that I would return the vehicle because he had another reservation after mine, he didn`t offered any help. Terrible experience, imagine if I was someone that didn't know how to boost or if I didn't have anyone to help out. What a headache. Guess what, no discount was provided due to this situation but if I was late, for sure they would charge me.Felipe B.
