I would not recommend using U-Haul again. Upon getting back to Ontario from PEI, I realized when I started to unpack my belongings that the roof of the truck had leaked onto about 1/3rd of my boxes. During the few day drive it rained heavy in NB, Quebec, and Eastern Ontario so my stuff had been wet for days by the time it was unloaded the boxes were almost disintegrated. Still assessing the damage but most of my clothing had been wet and various electronics like PS4 &PS1, a 55 inch TV, and other things. Extremely disappointed by the service. When I dropped my U-Haul off at the Etobicoke location they inspected the truck and immediately told me that someone it looked like try repair it recently with cocking and the seals had failed. They told me the PEI branch failed to inspect their truck properly and that they couldn’t even rent the truck out again until it was repaired again. Still waiting for a call back from U-Haul corporate to handle this matter. Not impressed!!!

Staff was great. Worked with a woman and man who were on the early shift on June 1st. Didn't get their names but they were great.

The first lady is front counter was so rude even I have a reservation she was saying reservations or not confirmed. Depends what we have in store. The other lady in retail was nice.

The after hours mobile check out is insane. Assuming everyone has a phone/data/technical competency. If anything, there should be a mobile discount for the amount of photos one has to take.

Sometimes the communication with staff could have been better. Occasionally staff would become impatient when answering questions which were straight forward for them. Having said this, they did address all questions.

Being 15 minutes late with our drop off as we had rented a storage space at this uhaul location and had to unload the trailer they charged us an additional $35 fee. So not very happy

The rental that we had should not be on the road without further mechanical attention. I contacted the location this morning but could not get through. The steering is slow responsive and in need of repair. Absolutely not safe. As a regular uhaul customer and driver I am more then experienced driving the trucks and have never experienced this before. The back of the truck leaked, ruining half of my boxes. Clothing in boxes needing washing and back of mirror ruined. Completely unimpressed.

Great service. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Male employee there got and out of service trailer fixed for me to use. Very much appreciated. Thank you. My only concern came when I opened the trailer at my load location. I failed to check it at the store. There was damp oil residue on floor and evidence a motorcycle had been hauled in the trailer. Oil likely from motorcycle. I got rags and cleaned same. In doing so, I found evidence of small farm animal having been in the trailer. Something like a calf or goat. Traces of manure on floor and on one of the corner hooks. I cleaned this as well and swept floor. A power wash with detergent would do wonders to this unit. I dropped a sheet on floor to protect my belongings. I grew up on a farm and know that dried cow manure won't kill anyone. Oil could satin some items. I don't know the standards for your company nor am I aiming to blame the employees working when I was there. I mention this as a learning opportunity going forward. I trust you to do right by this information. I did mention the oil at the receiving location in a statement to the effect that I brought the trailer back cleaner than when I picked it up. I had forgotten about the trace manure so did not mention that. The rest of trailer worked fine. All tow hardware and lights worked as they should.

The 12x6 trailers need to have a jack on the front. Lifting and lowering a trailer that large by hand is dangerous.

Nothing at this time. I was an hour dropping off the truck due to waiting on our keys to our new residence. I had a call from the drop off location and there was a no worries. We are closing, please when you return drop off keys in overnight drop off box. Everything went so smoothly and a no worries policy. Very impressive from start to finish. Thanks again.

One of CSR was pretty unpleasant. I didnt like that I was told I could rent without a credit card at one uhaul but when I went to rent I needed the credit card. The CSR handled this situation poorly in my opinion. My main concern with this review is that it has been almost 24 hours and I still havent gotten my refund that I need.

Your survey should have questions regarding the company itself not just the location, in which case I would choose 'poor'. Yes the location is in a good spot, yes the equipment is in good shape, but holy jesus the place is an over priced rip off and there's no way I'll use it again. Between the 24 hour truck rental fee and the gas it cost $340 which is actually insane. I don't know if you cost that much because your company holds a monopoly on moving companies on pei or you just don't care but you guys should really reassess your prices.

very helpful. There was a mistake on our invoice. It stated we were to drop the truck off in Montague PE, when we ordered drop off at Charlottetown PE online. It took a bit of time, but the rep got it all fixed at no extra charge.

Generally speaking, the staff person who waited on me was quite rude and treated me like a chore rather than a person. I rented a U-Haul vehicle to transport $40,000 of equipment during a 3 day film shoot. I was given a truck with no lock. When I discovered this shortly after loading everything into the truck across town, I called but there was no answer. This forced me to drive all the way back to the location to see if I could rent a lock. The same staff person explained, completely without empathy, that some trucks have no locks and I could buy a $5 padlock if I wanted. They did not offer any rentals of more secure locks. When I returned the U-Haul clean and with more gas than needed, the same staff person met me. She hauled the driver's side door open and said, "Get out" before pushing past me, climbing in, turning and saying, "I need those" and snatching the keys from my hand. Then she tried to charge me for 4 days of service rather than 3. She seemed to have absolutely zero memory that she had served me just a few days before. There were no thank-yous, no questions about how the truck was, or anything that made me feel valued as a customer paying several hundred dollars to your company. I will absolutely not be using U-Haul again for ANYTHING. There are other rental companies in the area that offer similar vehicles for similar prices. At the very least, I would happily pay a bit more to another company to have a better customer experience. Your Charlottetown location includes at least one staff member who could not care less about the people who walk through the door.

Easy to use, there is a canopy to keep you dry while loading if it is raining or snowing. Bathroom on site. Lots of trollies. Wide hallways. Office staff are beyond helpful.

The staff member I dealt with when setting up the locker initially was very unhelpful. There was also a thick layer of ice in front of the locker that made accessing the locker dangerous.

The door to my unit was overly "sticky". Pull-down rope was rotten and broke so I replaced it. Big moving trucks should not use summer tires in Canadian winters. Minor complaints, but I am happy with.

Staff we’re great! U-haul policy didn’t allow me to rent for a week...which was all I needed a storage for. So I paid a month fee for a starage unit that sat empty for 3/4 of the term. A rip off.

Your system of charging month by month is not in anyway fair. I moved my things August 2nd and was charged for a full month! 195.00 for 2 days. Is there not a way to charge by the day?

Pymt issue - As a Gov't dept we were paying through Arizona on credit card (cc). U-Haul indicated paid but some payments were never showing on our cc stmt. Switch to online acct pymt which worked.
