When I returned the trailer I rented, the same day I rented it, and early by 3+ hours, the individual didn't check the trailer until 4 days later. Subsequently, I was charged for 4 days of rental, when in reality I had less than 1 day. I called for a refund and was directed to the National call center where I had to explain what happened. They asked if I had proof of what had happened. I have my original rental contract and the receipt that shows a 4 day charge. They stated they had submitted it for a refund and that it had to be reviewed and approved. If it is not approved, I will contact my credit card to refute all of the charges.James E.

The hitch installation looks fine, which is great. But it would be ideal if you told your installers to not leave a bunch of grease and oily marks on the driver door. Otherwise all good.Jorge C.

Many times the company has their U-Haul trucks parked in the customer parking area and it is difficult to access the storage area. A customer has to carry items around the truck which makes it difficult specifically if the person is older.Ronald B.
The truck front wheels were balding and the truck drove poorly like the truck front end was out of alignment. The drivers side door made a very awful noise when opening and closing it, but it did close properly. The check engine light was illuminated and the truck had almost 90000 miles on it. However, the inside and hauling areas of the vehicle were clean and we were able to complete our small house to house move in the area. The people running this U-haul location are very good and the property is well kept.Byron L.

I know everyone everywhere is shorthanded so this is a mute point, but it never fails, I walk in and am third in line to only 1 person working and they are on the phone making collection calls, which apparently, is more important than the customers standing in line. The drop off location I scheduled was in Viera, FL on Pineda Blvd. The drop off location was changed to Dixie Lane in Rockledge, FL.Edward F.
The kids tire pressure warning light was on. Before i pulled out i went back and talked to rep. He said new tires and sensor not reset, so IGNORE IT. No! Wrong answer. Had to stop at another UHaul where they checked pressure on all 4 tires. The back right, which was the low tire, only had 25lbs in it. That truck was NOT checked, cleaned or serviced properly before my 24 hr rental. Very dissappointed that our safety was put at risk due to slack staff. Reporting this to review boards. I have used uhaul for several years and this is the first time SAFETY was blatantly ignored. They should have checked the truck when i reported warning light. The inside of the facility was always over the Temperature range on the thermometer on the wall . During the day the temp was unbearable to stay in for any length of time , so if I needed to move stuff there or around in there it was in evening . It did say it would be temperature controlled so I don’t feel I got my moneys worth since I paid for it . For this reason I won’t be recommending uhaul. And also I. The beginning we served a ground floor rental unit and that day when checked in the man said he only had one unit left and it was upstairs I’m disabled and stairs are difficult for me but he didn’t seem to care .Brian B. | Overall Experience

The staff was absolutely terrible. There were 4 people working and no one was interested in helping in any way shape or form when we were having difficulty entering the facility. They even lied and said there was no other way to access my storage unit. The person cleaning the windows actually told myself and the movers I had hired the other way to get in. The staff inside finally let us in this way and then were terrible when we tried to find the best route to exit. This is not the first time I have had issues with the staff at this site. She listened to us, addressed our concern, stayed very professional and got us a solution we were happy with. I stood 35 minutes with a frustrated employee who didn't know what he was doing and no one helping him but rather interrupting him to ask questions for their customer. I am relocating to the Melbourne area from the Clearwater area and had hopped to find a storage area closer to where I was going to be living. Even though I called to reserve storage space more than a week ahead of my moving date the Rockledge/Cocoa facility was the only one with a climate controlled space of at least 10 x 10 available within 30 miles of the facility in Melbourne at the intersection of Babcock and Palm Bay road. Everything was great until I rented a storage space. I purposely went into this location 3 days prior to moving in to see about a storage space. I asked for the $89 storage space and if they had it one the first floor, since I am renting this for my mom who is moving in with me and can not go up and down stairs, because she's going through cancer treatment. I was told yes and shown a unit on the first floor. I even made a reservation for this storage unit. On the day I arrived with my mom's things I was told that the unit I was shown is not going to be $89, but approximately $160. So after attempting to close my storage earlier than a month since I found somewhere to reside ONLY 3 DAYS after paying the entire $135 for my unit I was told by the people over the phone & the manager at the Rockledge location that I was unable to be prorated any amount & that it was up to the location manager. Next from the very beginning I was offered a one way deal so that when I used the Uhual truck my first month of storage is free. After arguing & still paying the money upfront 2 weeks later I was told it was stay on my account instead of being refunded back to me. I will never tell anyone to return from here. Also if your going to offer such large units atleast have a light in the back of the unit! I only liked for one or two people to assist me at this location. One of the guys I no longer see he left & Darryl. Darryl is beyond nice & helpful! From returning the uhual unloading it as well & any time before I left.
