This is the worst experience I've ever had with Uhaul in 20 years of being a customer. I was told to come pick up my rental and the system canceled me. I was dropped off and am now typing this while waiting in the rain for an Uber im having to pay for. Im now gonna be late to my wedding rehearsal dinner and still dont have my rental.Jeff J.

They were having problems checking out every single customer, and taking their sweet time about handling every problem. They tried to double-charge me and if I hadn't glanced at the total before leaving, they'd have gotten away with it. When I protested, they fiddled around with the computer for an hour before trying to reach the manager, and when that didn't work, they said they'd have to fix the problem the next day. So I figured it might come out to $80 or so because I completely forgot to put gas in it I got evicted from the house I was living in because I signed a lease with someone who claimed to be the owner and was not and he owed the owner $4500 and the lease ended a week and a half after we signed the paperwork so I'm all over the place moving stuff and I just completely forgot to put gas in it and I had no idea it was gonna be that much like I can't even afford that I've been in tears about it like I was trying to get there to be there on time and I don't know I'm sorrySONJA A.

Taking photos of customer's face, and their drivers license (front and back) is unacceptable from a data security position not to mention having to hand over credit card for employee's typing in to their terminal manually all critical data (card #, expiration and cvv). Made a late in the day reservation for a trailer and was pleasantly surprised to find they had a trailer of the style I wanted. I had to keep the trailer overnight as my rental period extended beyond normal closing hours. Arrived shortly before opening time the following day to return the trailer and the young man there was very helpful, very gracious and very quick about getting the trailer checked in and be on my way. The truck I rented was gas tank gauge was rigged to show the gas tank not full even though you put enough money in. You have to take a picture of the gauges before driving off. Thank goodness I did or I would have to pay an extra $35 for nothing. This is a very unprofessional practice!Pattie O.

Well for starters I did the 24 seven check in and they gave me and another person in the same vehicle. But the people at this office made it quick and easy for me to get another truck. But the vehicle I was in the steering box and or the drag link was very loose so steering was very dangerous he could turn the wheel 1 to 2 inches each direction and the truck wouldn't even move it needs to be checked out ASAP otherwise I would say 4 1/2 stars. The inside of the facility was always over the Temperature range on the thermometer on the wall . During the day the temp was unbearable to stay in for any length of time , so if I needed to move stuff there or around in there it was in evening . It did say it would be temperature controlled so I don’t feel I got my moneys worth since I paid for it . For this reason I won’t be recommending uhaul. And also I. The staff was absolutely terrible. There were 4 people working and no one was interested in helping in any way shape or form when we were having difficulty entering the facility. They even lied and said there was no other way to access my storage unit. The person cleaning the windows actually told myself and the movers I had hired the other way to get in. The staff inside finally let us in this way and then were terrible when we tried to find the best route to exit. This is not the first time I have had issues with the staff at this site. I am relocating to the Melbourne area from the Clearwater area and had hopped to find a storage area closer to where I was going to be living. Even though I called to reserve storage space more than a week ahead of my moving date the Rockledge/Cocoa facility was the only one with a climate controlled space of at least 10 x 10 available within 30 miles of the facility in Melbourne at the intersection of Babcock and Palm Bay road. Everything was great until I rented a storage space. I purposely went into this location 3 days prior to moving in to see about a storage space. I asked for the $89 storage space and if they had it one the first floor, since I am renting this for my mom who is moving in with me and can not go up and down stairs, because she's going through cancer treatment. I was told yes and shown a unit on the first floor. I even made a reservation for this storage unit. On the day I arrived with my mom's things I was told that the unit I was shown is not going to be $89, but approximately $160. So after attempting to close my storage earlier than a month since I found somewhere to reside ONLY 3 DAYS after paying the entire $135 for my unit I was told by the people over the phone & the manager at the Rockledge location that I was unable to be prorated any amount & that it was up to the location manager. Next from the very beginning I was offered a one way deal so that when I used the Uhual truck my first month of storage is free. After arguing & still paying the money upfront 2 weeks later I was told it was stay on my account instead of being refunded back to me. I will never tell anyone to return from here. Also if your going to offer such large units atleast have a light in the back of the unit! I only liked for one or two people to assist me at this location.
