Texting on the phone seemed to be more important than greeting & serving customer. I thought it to be comical that the gentleman outside servicing the vehicles had a bad air hose, a pvc coil type that had a hole in it. He asked the office guy for a new hose and he brought one out dragging it on the groundGerald K.
U-haul is the worst company on the face of this Earth I would never recommend them to anybody that I know even the worst enemy I have I would not recommend you Hall to. The company told me that they would reimburse me examine a dollars for my inconvenience in my frustration they have not given me back one penny of what they said they would do and now I don't even expect them to give me back anything they are not people of their word. Staff was very helpful when we returned rented equipment. We had a long trip to cover over 1100 miles road trip. Technical help in disconnecting auto transport is appreciated to speed up process in returning equipment. Owner was very courteous when we returned 26 ft truck. I waited outside for someone to check the vehicle over with me and was pretty much ignored, I walked in to see if I could get help and the guy asked if I was there to drop off, I said yes and his answer was "give me your keys and I'll email you a reciept" (which I still have not gotten) with that being said obviously no one checked out the truck with me, unfortunately I left my surpass in the truck and realized that several hours later, I called and was told they would look and if I got a call back then they have it and if I didn't get a call back they don't have it, I got no call back so obviously someone took my sunpass off the windshield after I leftJACK M.

I arrived 10 mins before closing ti pick up a Trailer, the staff was very friendly and able to rent out a Trailer to me very quickly. There speed of service was very appreciated!MARSEE A.
Online rental was easy but i really wanted to talk to someone on the phone because i wanted to see about getting another unit next to the one i already have. after being on hold for 45 minutes the first time, i hung up. i tried again later in the day and it was the same thing. i called the Uhaul headquarters in Phoenix. i told him to try calling to v getALIX P. | Online Move In
I arrived at 6:55 and it closes at 7 pm. One U-haul truck in the return line, a car behind it, and no attendant in sight. After waiting for someone to appear, I move my rental truck so that the car could back out and went inside. I was met with a resounding "we're closed". It was 7:04. I said all I want to do is return a truck and the reply was "he is out there somewhere". I found a guy parking a trailer, who told me to move the truck to another location and leave the keys in the return box. He would see that I was not charged for another day. Not a pleasant experience. Fortunately for me, I should never need to visit this location again.DONNIE S.
I am relocating to the Melbourne area from the Clearwater area and had hopped to find a storage area closer to where I was going to be living. Even though I called to reserve storage space more than a week ahead of my moving date the Rockledge/Cocoa facility was the only one with a climate controlled space of at least 10 x 10 available within 30 miles of the facility in Melbourne at the intersection of Babcock and Palm Bay road. Perhaps that Melbourne facility needs to expand their accommodations !!! Otherwise everything was fine. Thank you!Paul r. | First Impressions

Not enough staff. I had problems with on-line pick up luckily one of the staff working outside was able to help. Picked the car hauler up on a Sunday, trailer was in very poor condition. Brought it home, could not engage ramps to drop down to the driveway. Had to return the trailer, and get another. On Monday, your staff was very good. Got a trailer that was in much better shape.JAMES C.

Catch-22: YOU LOSE I rented a U-Box from U-Haul, and used their MovingHelp.com website to arrange movers to load the box. I purchased insurance for the move from Colorado to Florida, and was automatically charged $25 per month for insurance while the box was in storage ($110.55 per month total.) My property was in transit for approx (1) month, and in storage for (2) months. A 3rd storage month payment of $110.55 was made for the several days overlap prior to pickup. First Facility, Pickup-Day: U-Haul staff spend (1) hour plus trying to figure out where my U-Box is. They conclude the box had been sent to a regional facility and gave me directions to that location a half hour away. Regional Facility: Not to be outdone, this U-Haul staff also insists they do not have my box. For (2) hours. Mostly calls to the first facility. The final word comes - the first facility DOES have my box. I drive back. The day is now half gone. First Facility, Redux: I was unable to arrange any help so I drove the load myself. I returned the U-Box approx (3) hours later when it was so marked by a staffer. Ruh Roh: While unloading I discovered that two pieces were damaged - an antique chair, (1) in a set of (4) and a hand-painted, artisan lamp shade. Both pieces were heavily wrapped /protected by the original MovingHelp.com movers. I filed an insurance claim for damages. Estimated loss is probably $2,000 to $3,000. U-Hual: The U-Haul insurance adjusters reject my claim telling me to take it up with MovingHelp.com. Why? The insurance, apparently, only coveres instances when the box is damaged. Or something like that. Those monthly insurance charges while in storage must have had the same value. I now understand - I had been protected against catastophic accidents not far south of a meteor strike. My pleas as to the actual purpose of buying insurance left them unmoved. MovingHelp.com: This wing of U-Haul would not take up the matter since the elapsed time of my storage had exceeded some mystical time limit. 30 days? 90 Days? I don't remember. They didn't stop charging me for insurance, however. I must assume that they, too, were a last stand against meteor strike. MovingHelp.com said my only recourse was to sue the moving guys in Colorado. Naturally, everything flows downhill. Moving Guys In Colorado: We're not insured, bro. U-Haul: Thinking my U-Haul misery was complete they somehow pulled out another plot twist. No slackers, these U-Haulers. Silly me, I was on auto-pay during the move. After registering the return of my U-Box a month ago ... on the same day I picked it up ... they managed to charge me $110.55 for another month's storage. Today. But wait, my sad tale is not done! I spent another hour of my life on hold with U-Haul. The rep acknowledged that I had been erroniously charged, and removed the offending auto-pay setting ... but could not outright refund my money. You see, that priveledge resides with the manager. Only he may approve such an extraordinary request. Two days later and no refund in sight, I called the corporate office number given to me by the previous rep. 40 minutes on hold. This rep put my request into three different processes, including something about the manager, the manager's manager, and some other such thing I don't give a fig about. At the end of this second hour lost in pursuit of a refund, I was informed that she, too, was powerless to actually refund my $110.55. No, that priviledge must still await the hand of the almighty manager. And now I wait. I do not dare post this review until I get my $110.55 back. (Post will serve as evidence of my refund.) It's only reasonable to assume that U-Haul has some special level of hell prepared for me in advance. (And you?) Help ward off these demons. Do not call it "guaranteed" delivery. "Estimated" delivery is more accurate. Make sure your employees have access to tracking information so they are able to provide specific information about the container's location and estimated arrival. Enforce better communication between the phone reps and the store employees to ensure access appointments are scheduled and the box is ready for the customer.Deborah L.

Everything was great until I rented a storage space. I purposely went into this location 3 days prior to moving in to see about a storage space. I asked for the $89 storage space and if they had it one the first floor, since I am renting this for my mom who is moving in with me and can not go up and down stairs, because she's going through cancer treatment. I was told yes and shown a unit on the first floor. I even made a reservation for this storage unit. On the day I arrived with my mom's things I was told that the unit I was shown is not going to be $89, but approximately $160. So after attempting to close my storage earlier than a month since I found somewhere to reside ONLY 3 DAYS after paying the entire $135 for my unit I was told by the people over the phone & the manager at the Rockledge location that I was unable to be prorated any amount & that it was up to the location manager. Next from the very beginning I was offered a one way deal so that when I used the Uhual truck my first month of storage is free. After arguing & still paying the money upfront 2 weeks later I was told it was stay on my account instead of being refunded back to me. I will never tell anyone to return from here. Also if your going to offer such large units atleast have a light in the back of the unit! I only liked for one or two people to assist me at this location. One of the guys I no longer see he left & Darryl. Darryl is beyond nice & helpful! From returning the uhual unloading it as well & any time before I left.
