Representative during drop off was not friendly. Very hasty and responses to me was not very customer service. Also that it would be better if the loading dock did not have stairs but instead had a ramp towards the loading dockMichaela E.
The truck had not been cleaned out before I rented it. They had to blow out debris from the truck, and from the cab, and still there was trash in the door pockets, etc. It also had a sour odor. On the other hand, the staff member who waited on me when I returned the truck was very helpful and did a great job.Marsha B.

My car was damaged due to poor tow wire installation which caused an electrical fire. The manager was very rude and had knowledge of his technician damaging customers cars but still kept him employed damaging more customers vehicle's. Now I'm out over $2000 in damages and car rental fees I had to pay for while my car was being fixed. After being told I would be reimbursed. It ruined my Christmas and messed up my finances. The two ladies working the front desk and in the back office on Monday Jan 10th were extremely rude! They were not helpful, did not load my furniture padding into the truck after charging for it. After my location was switched to this location I was called by a representative to confirm the change. At that time I was told I would be credited the mileage difference, considering the new location is farther and I am paying by the mile. Once I arrived to pick up my truck I was told no that was not the case. When I asked why? And why I should be responsible for the charge the lady in the back came out and started repeating "you don't have to rent here"! Very rude and unprofessional. I would've walked out but I unfortunately had no other back-up plan. When I arrived to drop off the truck the lady at the front desk was a completely different person, must have been because the owner was there. One a good note the man outside cleaning the UHAULS was very friendly and nice, and helped me find and return my rental!Amanda M.
after returning trailer after hours, called location to ask if they got the trailer ok. The call went to a call center who said they would have someone at the location call me. That never happened. I called later and again it went to a call center. I was put on hold then told she had talked to the supervisor and he would call me back. Still nothing. I called again and once again it went to a call center. I was put on hold. This time I was told the supervisor was at lunch and would call me back. Odd time to eat lunch after 3pm. Still never called back. Called again after 4, and this time the phone was answered by someone at the location. I asked if they could confirm that they checked in the trailer I had rented. I did not want to be charged and additional day by mistake. I was told they would call me back only if they could not find the trailer. I asked if someone could call me back either way, and I was very rudely told "no" "I already told you I would only call you back if we cant find it. My time is valuable too. The supervisor should have called me back like I was told. They should not lie to me. Why cant the store answer their own phones. I should not be treated rude and like I was bothering them. I only talked briefly to the actual location. There is no excuse for the so called supervisor to lie to me about calling me back. I am glad for "next door" so I can share my experiences.Duane H.
I received a notification that my credit card had fraudulant activity from Uhaul. I contacted the company and was told my ubox was still in PA waiting payment and that they had not tried a payment yet so it was fraudlant. I had to cancel my credit card and change all my payments; turns out the lady was looking at the wrong file and I didn't need to go through the headache of canceling my card. The next day I got a call from UHaul in FL asking what time I was coming to get my box (the same one i was just told was in PA). I clarified it was correct and told them Monday, two days. I arrived on Monday with cash since my card was deactivated. Then I was told that I had to wait till the next day since I didn't give them enough notice for pick up, I guess 48 hours was not enough time. The lady took my cash then told me I still owed $50. She couldn't explain why. They called corporate and was told it was because of having to store my things longer. I explained I paid for 30 days and was within 30 days and I wouldn't pay an extra $50. They told me the store manager would be the only one who could fix the fee. The manager was paged. I waited, over two hours, still no response. During this time the employees were talking that they had to pull a ubox for pick up tomorrow, but wait, it was already pulled on Saturday so nothing had to be done. So, my ubox was ready they just wouldn't give it to me. I had to come back the next day to talk with the manager. After an hour of research it turns out the employee entering my money put down $50 less than I had paid. No one knows what the other person is doing and it was all guessing and no answers. I have moved across country 13 times and have always used uhaul but I will never use uhaul again, and I am telling everyone!Kathryn B.

Customer service agent didn't input any of the changes I requested into the contract. 1. Change the drop off location from Baton Rouge LA to Monroe LA. 2. Extend the dates of rental. 3. This location as you can tell him I frequent flyer LOL a renter has improved his customer service reliability by 100% since last year there's always enough staff now finally and you're able to handle your business within a reasonable and comfortable time frame. I did not like the possibility that I could get charged a $20 fee for returning the equipment via a phone call rather than via the internet which I did not have access to. However, they did not charge me that fee. I was told that it was at the discretion of the individual location.JAMES W.

We rented a one way truck and car hauler in Denver, NC and told Uhaul we were headed for Titusville, FL and would be dropping off in Titusville, where this is a Uhaul location 5 min from our house. However, when we attempted drop-off at the location on Garden St in Titusville, FL, we were told we could not drop off the equipment at this location because they already had enough car hauler trailer. So, at the threat of being charged double, my 6 month pregnant wife and I were forced to spend an hour and a half of our day to make an over 60 mile round trip, with my wife following me in our car, wasting our fuel (which is very expensive right now) to drop the equipment off in Rockledge, FL. Contractually, we fulfilled our end of our obligation when we told Uhaul in advance that our final destination was Titusville. I'm very displeased that I was not allowed to drop the equipment off 5 min from my home, all because the Titusville location already had enough trailers. This is not very customer friendly and it's disappointing that such a large company with so such a large operating budget cannot figure out how to better accommodate a paying customer. If I ever do business with Uhaul again in the future, it will be with great reluctance due to the fact that you're sadly my best option.JUSTIN W.

- Guy running the place was rude - Hitch coupler was not fully secured. Threads felt damaged, could not be fully secured. - Only the blinker/brake lights on the trailer worked. Had to drive it back in the dark with hazards on. - Was charged $100 in total for a $30 trailer with a $20 after-hours return (never been charged this before) and a second day's rental charge. - With the condition the trailer was in, I should be getting a full refund, not upcharged.john W.

I rented a 6 by 12 open trailer with ramp. The ramp pin that holds the gate closed was bent and very difficult to remove. I needed the full 6 foot width to get a UTV loaded into the trailer. After driving for 1.5 hours to pick up the UTV, I realized the ramp opening was more like 4.5 feet ... my mistake sort or but I think the advertising is a little misleading... nothing to do with the store just a website issueWILLIAM G.

Rental process was good, however was redirected to this location from my preferred (closer) location due to lack of availability of a 15' truck. Shouldn't this be known at the time of reservation? Why accept the reservation if you don't have any trucks there.Brian K.
Incredibly unpleasant experience at the time of pick up. Waiting 10 minutes in line with no ackowledgemnt, I was next in line to reserve a 10 ft truck. The female staff member took an obviously emotionally-challenged woman ahead of me without the courtesy of explaining anything to me. She then asked another colleague, Susan McDonaugh, to check me in. Susan barely said anything to me and raised her voice when I didn't press something that she said was on the credit card screen (but wasn't). She then corrected it but didn't apologize or explain what had happened. She then overquoted what I thought was going to be the total charge and she semed annoyed as she explained. I remained silent. She also seemed annoyed when I asked if I could return the truck Friday because Thursday was Thanksgiving. All-of-a-sudden she went outside with the truck key and I followed, not knowing what was going on. Outide, she waved the keys at me from a distance and said "Here are the keys" I took them from her without saying anything. This is not my first negative encounter with this particular U-Haul site.I will say that check-in today with Alexa Byrd was very pleasant. Mark WiseMark W.

The staff was absolutely terrible. There were 4 people working and no one was interested in helping in any way shape or form when we were having difficulty entering the facility. They even lied and said there was no other way to access my storage unit. The person cleaning the windows actually told myself and the movers I had hired the other way to get in. The staff inside finally let us in this way and then were terrible when we tried to find the best route to exit. This is not the first time I have had issues with the staff at this site. Its Obvious that everyone working here knows one another thru family cousins what not. This was booked out of town. Im pretty sure we requested an air conditioned unit. A fan!? In Florida!? I stood 35 minutes with a frustrated employee who didn't know what he was doing and no one helping him but rather interrupting him to ask questions for their customer. My daughter and dog were out in the 98 degree heat all this time. I am disabled and needed a storage unit on the ground floor. Everything was great until I rented a storage space. I purposely went into this location 3 days prior to moving in to see about a storage space. I asked for the $89 storage space and if they had it one the first floor, since I am renting this for my mom who is moving in with me and can not go up and down stairs, because she's going through cancer treatment. I was told yes and shown a unit on the first floor. I even made a reservation for this storage unit. On the day I arrived with my mom's things I was told that the unit I was shown is not going to be $89, but approximately $160.
