This location is not clean with their vehicles. I rented a pickup and it was dirty, dusty, stains or coffee on the dashboard, keys were left behind from previous renter, smelled like previous renter smoked in there. They should really pay more attention to cleaning after every other person. No sanitation at all!Yanitza G.

I rented two 26 foot trucks within two weeks . The first time I was sent to 3 different pickup locations for a truck , the second time 20 minutes before I was supposed to pick up I received a call the they didn't have a truck there and had to go somewhere else . Upon pickup , the hazard lights were out and a reverse light as well , the window wind handle fell off . When we returned the truck at a little after 7we walked in and was yelled to â€œwere closed!!â€ We went outside tried to drop off online and 15 minutes later still were having issues with the website and the employees were in their way out . They assured me there wouldn't be the 20 charge and ge said he would make sure he was there in the morning , I asked his name just in case and was refused . We also had movers and made it VERY CLEAR. The dining room table needed to be handled with kid gloves and gave heaven blankets to wrap and said not to put anything on it in the truck. Tonight when I was setting up there is a HUGE dig on the table top . For being in business for so long you would think transactions would be seamless but not at all . I could cry over my table , I just can't believe itMonique D.

The people were helpful, but the trailer I rented was terrible. I rented a covered trailer because of the rain we had. It did me no good as by the time I was done there was a ton of water inside ruining 1/2 my stuff. I reserved my van roughly 2 weeks in advance, I arrived at the location 30 minutes early in the event the location was busy. Only to learn that the van I reserved was not dropped off and was then informed I had to wait until the van was returned and would receive a call when that van or any other was returned. I did received a call from Azeez who also informed me that I would be taken care of with a reduced rental rate for all inconveniences imposed but never received the reduced rate I was told I'd get after also returning the rental 2 days earlier. I've been in retail for over 25 years, I understand that such things happen, Azeez handled it all very well and very professionally after contacting his closest location and I believe he also contacted his leader for support....is it too late to request a reduced rate on my rental charges?JAVIERJOSE R.

You should have more staff on hand during the weekends. Also, checking in via the app should mean that you don't have to wait in line to check in again. The app made the process quicker, but it was a little misleading saying that it would make it so you don't have to go into the store. Havong only one person working the counter on a weekend is not fair to the worker or the customers...Emily G.

Improve the insurance. For $14/day, I shouldn't have had to pay a $150 deductible because someone hit my mirror. It's absurd and I will never use uhaul again if I can help it. I think I was grossly overcharged.Hannah C.

I was over charged a day and extra insurance. Spent 3 amd a half hours on hold. My contract started drop off 4 pm, when I asked why not 5 like requested I was told it wouldn't be a problem. But was dropped off around 4 pm regardless. However a pretty significant wait to do so. And the person said we went over 10 miles, I said ok no problem. Nothing was mentioned of a supposed " extra".day. which it was not held an extra day. So I am still trying to reach someone regarding my 54 dollar overcharge that I will not be satisfied until is refunded. I do a decent amount of business with your company, but ut seems, there's always something. Especially with the Cohoes NY location. Always that location is a problem.Tara C.

Make it clear that the equipment being rented can only be returned to the same location and explain what the charges will be if returned elsewhere. I had no idea I would be charged $715 dollars because I had to travel to another state. The difference between local equipment and interstate equipment was not made clear to me until after I was charged a fee. The website barely gave me a notice that this would be an issue and didn't explain the fees at all. When I read the contract I thought that the one-way rate was $80 a day, not $350. So I assumed I'd pay $160/day if I returned it to another location, not FUCKING $700Mariama S.

They saw the damage on the truck and thought that I was responsible for it. I showed them the contract and the pictures I took before taking out the truck. I expected they would have a record of the damage in the UHAUL system and I would not have had to go over it with them.Alan A.

If you tell me I can have a 4x8 trailer for me if only I drive fifteen miles further than my local store, HAVE the 4x8 trailer, not the 5x8 I could have had near home. "The previous renter failed to return it" falls flat when it was promised less than a day before pickup time.Richard W.

Was not told storage room was raised, about 10 feet in the air before renting unit. Mobile stairs had to be placed, you'd unlock the door, then have to move the stairs out of the way to open the door, then move the stairs back. Unit had a huge beam and lots of wires running through it. Glad I was storing boxes and not bigger items. / Removed items from locker after hours. Called next day to close out. Direct Deposit was not stopped. Called to have stopped. Monies were withdrawn. Called to get refund. Six days later money had not been returned. Had to call again. I believe my issue has now been resolved. I hope. After 3 phone calls and being on hold 20 minutes each time I am not thrilled about this experience. I will still use this site again. Hello, I hate to write negative reviews but feel like feedback would be helpful. I rented a UHaul truck from NYC to Uhaul Cohoes. The representative on the phone told me I could use their climate controlled storage with one month free. She said the unit was on the ground floor. The unit i received was not only on the second floor but it was only accessible by these mobil "staircases". The staircase was falling apart and had no railing at the top which was extremely dangerous. To add, the unit was probably 90 degrees inside. I was looking forward to a nice convenient end to the moving trip but this was pretty unfortunate. Thought it would help to share. Thank youcainaaan l. | First Impressions

When I rented my unit I was told there were stairs. I was NOT told that the stairs were on wheels, weight at least 25-30 pounds & are the most wobbly, narrow, unsafe, unsecure stairs ever. No way these stairs should be in the building. Scary. Further, after you push the extremely heavy stairs into place and unlock your unit, you can't open the door to the unit. The bars at the top of the stairs are in the way, so you have to drag the stairs away again, open the door and then drag the stairs back into place. And my unit was on the end behind a corner. So no pushing the stairs right up to my unit. I had to navigate a tight corner. Every trip to my storage unit was a nightmare.liz s. | Overall Experience
