They ran out of trailer tow wires. Thankfully the staff knew how to make them from scratch. If I had not arrived 30 minutes m early for my appointment I likely would NOT have been given my rental. Which would have been a HUGE issue for me as a customer who had a committed reservation, with a trailer available but no wiring to tow it. Inventory of wiring should match inventory of trailers 24/7. That should never be a reason not to honor a confirmed rental reservation.Melissa B.

Andrew is not professional and he tells his customers go outside and wait for someone after the fact waiting an hour already not wanted to assist customers outside. This happened when I checked in and checked out. When I checked out Joshua helped after the fact Andrew didn't want to deal with customer outside (hot day). Joshua was very professional and was patient working with his coworkers that is so rude to him. Joshua called for help as the line was really long inside and his co worker's reply was, " what do you want me to do about it" instead of coming in and assisting. Joshua's response was very professional and said "it's okay I just wanted to let you know to possibly help to move the line faster. I'll take care of it, thank you." We need more Joshua's! I rented a dolly. I had previous done this at the Tustin, Ca store. My information was already on file. The service rep checked my ID and confirmed my information. Asked if I was still at my address and phone number which he read off from the computer screen. Then he wanted to confirm my phone number which I had left in my cell in my car. He would not complete the rental until he confirmed my phone by calling it. He already had my credit card Information. This made no sense because if a person steals your equipment, a cell phone won't get you your refund. I've never had a company confirm my phone number. I would understand if this was standard but they didn't do that at the Tustin store just weeks before. I had to leave the line to retrieve my cell phone since your employee thought that wasn't my real number given. Rude!Rene D.

The car was very old and not well maintained. The engine sound was very high. Thats not the biggest issue. The issue was getting a car with 3 mile of gas! Which barely made us to the gas station! There should be a minimum for us to take the car at least 20-30 miles ! But not 3!Andy T.

Staffing at this location is miserable. I showed up at 7:30 when I expected to pick up the trailer I had reserved the night before. When I arrived there was ONE, yes one employee assisting the dozen customers who had made reservations for trucks/trailers. How in the world does the management team at this location get this wrong?! There wasn't even a manager on site. The location was staffed by a single employee barely older than 18. I felt bad for him. It took me over an hour to get the trailer I had reserved the night before. I understand when businesses are BUSY but this was a complete disregard for anyone else's time and commitments. This location receives an F because of inept management and ignorance.Matthew A.

The gas on the contract was incorrect and was listed as 3/4 on the said contract. The actual amount of fuel was 1/2 a tank. I photographed the discrepancy and logged it on my phone so I could discuss with manager. When I returned to the U'Haul it took 28 mins to wait to check me out. There was a middle aged female who worked there that was commenting on employees who were on and off the clock and bantering with a guy named Aaron who did nothing as he walked back and forth never asking if I needed help and another guy named Marco who eventually helped me check out but was unphased as I told him I waited 28 minutes for someone to assist me. He cleared up the gas issue but to be honest I would never go back becasue of this experience. I would go to a different U-Haul if there crew remiaed there. I am sorry to report this but I am a business owner and would want to know how to better serve my clients if one of them had an unpleasant experience like I did, thank you.Thomas R.

Your CSR his name was Marco Gutierrez was not helpful at all You can feel from the way he treated us that he did not like his job. Over and over we told him to speak slowly so we can understand him but he keeps mumbling and eating his words that it really was super frustrating to deal with him. Your company is a model of inefficiency and slop. My reservation took 4 phone calls and about an hour on hold, just to get right. On pickup, wait in line was 30 minutes, large store crewed by two surly and very slow youths trying their darndest to upswell un-needed services to clueless customers. Printer out of ink. Attendant upon return was clueless and had great difficulty emailing me a confirmation of return. I hope to God I never have to rent something there again.jason S.

This Uhaul store is a literal joke. There wasn't a soul working it, I'm surprised they haven't been robbed. Not a soul behind the counter, 5 vans waiting to be checked in. While transferring my things to my storage compartment I am under great suspicion that someone walked up and stole my Nintendo switch it's been missing since I first dropped my things off. This happened right outside the store's storage entrance which has cameras. This was the day I checked in and dropped off my U-Haul truck rental. So it was day time at the storage facility on the store grounds someone walked up and stole it out of the U-Haul truck on property grounds. I asked a store rep. Constantly the computers would be down and kids work there never answers the phone instead just sit around on their sale phone. I had a 50 dollar VIP voucher and the kid said the computer couldn't accept it at the moment ,he said that he could call corp and see if there was something to do about it but he didnt want to cause it was Sunday and they probably wouldn't answer anyways . I called and got someone on the phone within minutes. The corporate customer service manager then tried to call and they never could get them to answered either I had to go and tell the kids their boss was on the phone then they answered and only after speaking to her and their manager did they try to work something out then he told me they could only discount it 30 bucks unless he called someone to get it changed on the other end which I said call then so in the end they honoree the 50 dollar voucher but only after I did way more work then I should have had to do on my end . Also In the mix I had lost my key to my lock and knew how to drill the lock with out damaging anything to which I was told I'm not aloud and would need to pay a lock smith which is 170 -200 dollars . Just FYi your policy is bs when I went to drill the lock I was stopped so I called the police to which they were agrivated about even wasting time on this they told me and the workers at the uhaul that the lock was my property and so was what is in side the locker that it is unlawful to stop me from poping the lock myself . So in the end I popped it myself. This scar taxtic is crazy on uhaul side . So In the end all experience was terrible both on the Chicago uhaul side and even more on the riverside location . I have never been met with such horrible, lazy customer service. Theres a whole other experience listed on my file of when I moved in . I will say everyone I spoke to on the phone from corporate was very respectful and helpful never had an issue with them .there is so much wrong with the riverside location I am surprised they are allowed to used the uhaul name .Charles G. | Overall Experience
