Tatiyanna C should hold a master class in how to deliver superior customer service. We've rented from many u-hauls across the country, and we were both blown away at the ease she brought to the process. It was truly the best experience we've had...and actually illuminated how truly disorganized and cumbersome the other offices were. It would benefit U-Haul to keep her at all costs.

Initially, there was a very minor hiccup with my reservation – a small oversight that honestly could have happened anywhere. However, what happened next is what truly sets this location apart and makes Tatiyanna a customer service superstar. Instead of brushing it off, Tatiyanna immediately took ownership of the situation. She was incredibly apologetic, genuinely concerned about the inconvenience, and sprang into action to find a solution. And let me tell you, she didn't just fix the problem; she went above and beyond. Tatiyanna not only resolved the reservation issue quickly and efficiently, but she also provided ample reimbursement and provided assistance the rest of the day to ease my move in. From the moment I walked in I had the benefit of being greeted with a pleasant smile, undivided attention and the assistance of what would be the best vehicle for my needs. The person who served me, Tatiana I believe, gave me a pleasant experience, was extremely knowledgeable and asked me if I needed any other accessories such as tie downs or a dolly to help my moving efforts. Tatiyanna was wonderful, she was professional and welcoming. So helpful through the entire process. We talked in the phone and I changed my rental in the morning, she was cordial and so helpful during the rental prices at the store and then was the person I dropped off too, with a smile and a "I hope everything with your move went well today, any problems I should know of?" When I returned. I don't often need to rent a Uhaul but I can tell you if I do again, or any of my family or friends do, I will definitely rewritten to this location or recommend it.

Truck was very wet inside after drive down, there is something wrong with the floor or seals of the truck. I told the lady at the counter at drop off and she said "Ok, heres your paperwork" with major attitude and lack of caring. All my stuff and boxes were wet after the drive down.

Was given a truck by this location that had a major failure while driving through Boston. It was incredibly dangerous for both me and everybody around the vehicle at the time. After waiting 5 hours for road side assistance to arrive I was given a tow to my final destination. This location initially tried to give me $20 back for all of this. I explained that I would have to touch base with an attorney before going forward with anything and was immediately kicked out. Later I received an email stating that half of my purchase was refunded, something like $170 of $300. I was broken down for 5 hours and these guys seriously were only willing to give me half of my total charge back. I am now in the process of working with corporate to figure something out. The entire situation was a nightmare.

I backed up to the trailer and by the time I got out to help the young lady hook it to my truck, she was already done and was plugging the lights in. This rental was manipulated by former managers. It took me 5 yrs to move out.?? Uhaul's corporate structure leaves alot to be desired. Wish some other corp will take over the 60% market share that a Family run organization has controlled for nearly 60+ years ... Worst company management I have ever seen. Only reason..? Controlling MOm & Pop mentality for 60+ years... Enough is Enough!!

The signage in the entrance is unclear. The entrance only says Self Storage in huge type, so I thought rentals might use the driveway just past it—but then you get there and it says No Entry, and because it’s the freeway I then had to drive a mile or so to get back to it. Just get a sign at the entrance that’s more clear.

I had an unfortunate experience where I was unable to pick up a van after hours and was advised by the customer call center that there was no van available although I had an active rental. This resulted in my having to take a day off to pick up the van the following morning. I sent an email to the location overnight and received a call from Tatiana immediately the following morning to explain that the van had in fact been available but that I was given the wrong information. While this didn’t change the situation for me, Tatiana’s professional approach helped to diffuse the tension. I’ve dealt with this employee for other rentals and she has considerable management potential.

First I would like to thank Ms. Correa, as she was the one who was able to finally stop me from being charged for 2 units when I only had one. This took 3 months. She was the 5th and final person to correct that issue, after being told it was corrected 4 times. I was unable to get into the storage building multiple times due to the 2nd card reader not working. The third time it happened the woman at the desk told me it has been a known issue for couple weeks. Great to hear (sarcasm). Then they couldn't make me a new card, I had to get in with an employee. Extremely inconvenient, considering i waited in line for almost 40 minutes as the one employee was helping someone locate the truck they rented and wasnt there even though he paid for it. What a terrible experience that day. A 5 minute errand turned into almost 1.5 hours for me. 2 out of 4 times the pass code they gave me, to not have to use the card reader, worked. 50% chance of getting in and out. Not worth the 50% increase in price over the course of a year. Perhaps if I was able to get in, and didn't have so much issue paying for only my own storage unit, perhaps not so bad. But the price going from 40$ or so up to 70$, not worthwhile. Other places in the area have more reasonable prices. I cannot speak on the competitors facilities however, as I have not used them yet. I also noticed a large water leak from the roof being caught in a mop bucket, well over flowed, going into a couple other people's units. If those were mine, my metal car parts I was storing would be rusted and ruined. Glad that wasn't the case. Defeats the purpose of safe storage. If I wanted water on my car parts they'd be under the porch stairs outside my parents house. The employees who work at the facility I used were helpful when possible, and Ms Correa helped big time. Just seems like corporate needs to dive in and correct some overhead facility issues. In a nutshell: too many issues for an 50% price increase. Employees were helpful when possible. When not possible, out of their control and I feel bad they take the heat.

The only constructive recommendation I could give is that the timers be adjusted on the hall lighting. The timers should add another 20 minutes, so that I am not constantly waving my arms to turn on the hall lights, when the hall lights time out after 20 minutes. This is a real pain.

The companies lack of prorating unused portions of the monthly rent is dishonist and a way to cheat customers. Problems with rentals of trailers and trucks cannot be resolved at the drop off location. The company makes customers take up complaints with the pick up location. This is low and underhanded.

Why are you so inflexible on purchasing or renting additional items like padding/blankets for a truck when you could have just done a separate charge? It seems that getting blankets/padding has to be done with another purchase and once that purchase is closed out, there is no way to buy separately. This is wired.

The Danvers, MA (Newbury Street, US RTE 1 North) facility has always had personable managers for years, including now. I had climate controlled storage. My goods were odor free and dust free. No damage. I do move frequently and often need long term storage. I will be a repeat customer. Mark

Stafff used the computer to accesses my personal information and text me hitting on me and then later told me his girl found out that he texted me and face mad and she is the manager there. I argued with the staff about the inappropriateness of all this and now I’m afraid to go there and access my storage units because I fear running into them

I was really really upset when I got stuck in the process of moving my things from state to state to this facility because. As I am in the process of moving the elevator got stuck and did not work I could not get out my family could not come and get me out. I had to call uhaul 1800 number I kept on getting hanged up I also used the customer button and no response I have to call the fire department and police to come help me out. I think it was a set back for me and the people that came to help me waiting on someone to come get me out and get this rolling so I can finish and get the help out of there and that was not the case. There something that should be done?? I need some type of answers here.??? Some type of compensation on my lost time and others involved. Like what I’m the helll is there no system for this? Why are there no stairs set in place for such a thing to happen to anyone they can get out the building?? I mean just having to go thrue this is kind of insane. For business and repeat business it makes you double think about it or to be able to recommend somebody I don’t know . Very very disappointing to have to deal with this situation while you tired and exhausted and the to add this to it it’s disgusting for real!! I’m nog happy at all… actually very mad.

I had rented a 10ft truck for a day with the intention of moving the contents of my bedroom into my storage unit. When I arrived on site, they were closed so I used the code like instructed, however it took me an hour to be able to get the door open. I was only able to open it after someone else using a storage unit had told me that the door is broken and you need to put all of your force into it to pull the door open. There was not a single sign on the door stating this and if it hadn’t been for the other customer I would have never known. After I was able to open the door, I went up to the unit, where I discovered that the unit was way too small to fit the contents of my 10ft truck. Prior to this, I had spoken to someone on the phone (who I made both the truck and storage unit reservation with) who assured me numerous times that the unit I purchased would fit all of my stuff. I had to drive to my parents house two states away to unload all of my stuff at 11pm at night and am now going to be charged over $200 for the miles I had to drive with your error.

Staff was nice and friendly but took almost an hour checking us in and cost us money as we had movers which were hired by the hour waiting for the storage unit to be assigned. It should not be that difficult to locate a reservation and assign a customer a storage unit.

it was a positive ecperiance until i needed help with the move out process so i called and got a very rude and unprofesinal person who answered and basicly stated that i had to be standing in the show room to do the move out process and told me to read my contract and thats thier policy nothing in the contract that says that by the way in fact u-haul has a process for doing it on line. maybe some better training or retraining in this case because ive heard him on site being rude to other customers

I needed storage while I was waiting to move. This was my first experience using a storage center. Beth and her team made the experience a good one. I was usually there on Saturdays and Cynthia and Charlie were friendly and attentive. Ned kept the place looking good. Sharon and Rose always had a smile. Matt and Billy were there to answer questions. If I left anyone out know that I never left UHaul Danvers without thinking, that was a good experience. If I need storage in the future I know where to go. I’ve told friends about UHaul too. Thanks!

The questions above do not match the criteria needed for this survey I never saw the facility. employee never offered A walk through to show me the unit. The location is on rte 1 North bound. Difficult for me to get there.I was told I could rent a unit for 50$/mo for 2 years. When I brought it up she was rude saying she never said it. Then I was told I had to buy a lock from you. You kept adding charges and I was overwhelmed. I never moved in. I went the next day and cancelled.

there were 2 females working at the location that were helpful there was an older man who tried to help me but he was not well trained (not his fault) And finally there was a young man with black hair who literally sat our whole exchange with his feet up on the counter space The young man did not look anything up in the computer to verify what I asked for service with and just did not seem in the mood to look Also I had issues accessing my storage after hours more than once even though that is what I paid for, this was corrected but I did have to come back to the office during office hours several times which defeats the purpose of 24/7 access

Staff helpful but the climate control faculty was poorly controlled and smelled of must or mold. Canceled my reservation since I could not store my belongings in such a poorly maintained facility

The associates were very friendly and helpful and it was easy to get in and out of the storage unit itself (once I got there). My one complaint is that traffic flow is difficult around the facility. I'm not sure how to resolve that. We didn't have too much of a problem but I imagine during your busy times if there are a lot of people there, parking and access might be difficult. Also, the entrance is sort of hidden and easy to miss, and I was very glad to see you put a lighted sign at the entrance from route 1--that will help with visibility. The associates behind the counter were all very cheerful and helpful and this makes up for any physical difficulties of the place! Thank you very much!!

The woman in the front office was professional and extremely helpful in showing me everything I would need to know, including checking in and out of the unit, using the truck, etc. She even went so far as to help me check and adjust my rear view mirrors for safe driving. During a stressful time of getting our entire top floor hardwood floors refinished, Beth was so very helping in setting up a plan for us and saved us over $350.00. By renting a 15’ truck and using the free storage, it made the hold experience simple and stress free. The trucks were clean, the storage area was bright and brand new looking. This was the most pleasurable experience of the hold ordeal. Thanks to Beth and Tatiana for coming through. Will definitely use the Danvers location again.

After renting here for 12 months, I spent a whole day moving to a less conveniently-located facility because this U-Haul location is so bad. I have: (1) been locked out of my unit (not billing related), (2) been trapped in the facility, (3) had papers in my “air conditioned” unit ruined due to humidity, and (4) measured the indoor temperature last week at 29 degrees Fahrenheit. All the while, I experienced totally inept customer service. 1) Over the course of two weeks, I visited my unit after hours twice and was unable to use my card to get in. After going out of my way to visit during office hours, I was told, “Oh yeah the card readers don’t work on building D… we will get you PIN access.” U-Haul management should have notified customers rather than leaving it to us to figure out that the card reader wasn’t working. 2) On December 11th at 5pm I entered the facility, which has one entrance and one exit off the highway, only to find construction trucks blocking the exit. After notifying the construction crew to my presence, I was still unable to access my unit or even leave the facility for 20 minutes. This could have easily been prevented by management coordinating to move U-Haul trucks that eliminated means of navigating around the construction trucks. 3/4) Don’t expect the indoor “air-conditioned” units to amount to anything. For over a month this summer, A/C was malfunctioning in building D such that the floor had pools of water from condensation on pipes… the resulting humidity was enough to destroy any exposed papers items in storage. This winter, I measured the building’s inside temperature to be below freezing. I understand that things break, but at least notify your customers! When I was dealing with the broken card readers on July 17, 2020, one of the employees was not wearing a mask. He was talking to two customers (both wearing masks) at a short distance. Regardless how you feel about masks, his attitude was objectively disrespectful towards those customers. This total lack of care is made apparent by every single U-Haul employee at this location by their inability to provide reasonably reliable unit access and/or notification of the facility’s state of disrepair.

The assistant manager, Ben, was very helpful, friendly and courteous. Ben explained to my wife and I the ins and outs of the storage facility and process. He took us to our unit after we signed up online, explaining the security, how to use of key card and lock. Overall it was an excellent experience. Ben was fantastic, we would give him an A+

Beth is a great employee. The several times I've been there or called she has been been courteous, clear, sincere in her efforts and recommendations and overall terrific. She is confident in her job and it is reflected in the way she treats each customer (i've been in a short line while she handled live customers and the phones). The morning when I picked up my truck the girl was exceptional! When I went to drop it off was frustrating though. I arrived close to closing time and the guy asked me to do online drop off. The internet wouldn't work on my phone so I was unable to complete it. He was still there but kept busy looking at the other vehicles turned in whose customers had left. I felt like he should have helped me since I was there in person.

U-Haul of Danvers is definitely a secure place, there are cameras everywhere. I went Thursday night to close out my storage unit and the front desk had 2 workers. I needed to wait about 15 minutes before being taken care of but once I was being served things went quickly. I would recommend this facility. Thanks Bob
