the Canton location we were sent to was not able to help us, we were sent to the Denton location after waiting and finking around with trying to get pictures of drivers license, doing paperwork and hooking up trailer. Then we go do it at Denton to fix the situation. Took 3 hours to do 15 minutes job. Why weren't we sent to Denton in first place? It put a strain on my day, that I did not needalexandar F.

Would give a zero star rating if I could. Absolutely horrible. Would not recommend to anyone. Storage unit was on the second floor and was broken into and completely trashed twice. The second time it happened I was never even contacted. I went up on a Friday to pick up some things and found it broken into, went downstairs to confront the staff and they told me the break in happened on Monday. They refused to show the video tape even after the police arrived to take my statement. Later found out the break in happened 3 weeks prior to the original date they told me. asked a question about if i was late if I could get it after they closed and he told me that wouldn't be an issue. Whath he forgot to tell me that if I made itbon my orginal scheduled time I couldn't pick it up until after hours. this was not told to me plus he was with another customer and she told the same person he was being agreesive to her and he said he wasn't. awhen I told them i was calling corporate to report them thw manager came out and fixed the issueMitch W.

When I came into the store there was three people at the front desk. One was on the phone the other two working on a computer . No one even looked up. It was if each one of them dared the other to wait on me. Finally about 10 minutes after I arrived one of them looked up and ask if they could help me. I had a reservation for a cargo van. When I got the van it was nasty and beat up finder coming off and more. It had 3/4 tank of gas. I took pictures of all the damage and the gas tank. DisappointedTeresa A.

Lost $1,800 as a result of u-haul representative booking the wrong rental. I specifically requested a one way rental over the phone when booking my rental. When we picked up the truck, we again said that we were going to return it at a different location out of state. We were even in an out of state truck as was told to us by the location we returned it to. When I went to return the rental in the other location I was told that the rental was for a same location drop off and that I would be charged an $1,800 penalty for not returning it to the same location. Being in a bind as I had to catch a flight I was forced to pay the $1,800. Then when I was working with u-haul to listen to call logs, I was told I would get a cal back and never got a call back. Then when I called to follow-up I was met with a representative who was quite rude over the phone and would not answer my questions. I have a witness to the phone conversation I had with the representative about my booking. I am also disappointed with the way u-haul handles these situations as there is no forgiveness or way to override situations like mine where there was clearly a miscommunication. Two-thumbs down if you are reading this, use another company or location.David R.
The frustration I have with Uhaul, is that when I went on line to reserve and pick a place for pick up, you then call me the day before and tell me I have to pick it up somewhere else. If you can guarantee the pick up spot, then don't make it an option. Just say we will have one available in a 5 mile radius or something. The hitch I was supposed to get installed was backordered. I wasn't notified until an hour before installation reservation. Then they ordered the wrong hitch. Had to reschedule several times due to U-Haul. Denton's phones were disconnected or not working so I couldn't reach them for a couple of days. Finally got the correct hitch installed. It was installed incorrectly. None of the bolts were properly fastened. One of the nuts came off and caused the whole hitch to dip dangerously. Had to get it reinstalled. In order to that they had to take my entire bumper off. Almost every interaction I had with this location was not good. Very unprofessional. Only Jason was good. Jonathan is terrible at customer service. If it wasn't for the amazing people in Page, AZ I'd be stranded in AZ. Bert Argyle and Michelle are amazing!Andi G.

The U-Haul had a slow leak in one of the rear tire when I picked it up and was told to put air I did but a censer indicator kept popping up I was able to get a person to check the air pressure that advices me that the tire probably had a small leakYolanda S. | First Impressions

They were extremely unprofessional. The individual helping me had a shirt that was disgustingly dirty and he smelled bad. They didn't put any protection down prior to getting in my car. It was very noticeable after a few attempts of the employee, he had no idea how to drive a manual transmission. He stalled my car twice and roasted the clutch trying to put it in the lift. He then got out, told me he didn't know how to drive a manual and asked if I would pull it onto the lift. I did so. After install, I pulled it down off the lift and inspected the install. The hitch was all scuffed up. The front of the hitch that is visible looks like it was drug along the ground and now just a couple months later, it is already rusting. The original people that did my reservation weren't very knowledgeable. When I came back to pick up my truck and get my storage the staff fixed the issues from the ones who originally reserved me. The GM would generally return my phone calls within a couple hours if calling after hours. I had problems with the card reader especially after hours. I created a pin that worked perfectly though. I found the floors were typically very clean, but there was trash and debris left by people. It always seemed to get cleaned up, but people kept making messes. I found the facility smelled like dirty clothes. I often would find the main doors open during the day. People would not check-in they would follow people in and would not seem to have credentials to check-in. I found the parking lot was often a disaster after hours and it was difficult to find a parking spot during the day. People seemed to leave their vehicles for extended periods in the parking spots and there was generally a shortage of spots available. I was erroneously charged a $15 late fee and at this point it appears I will never collect it. Corporate call center told me to call the store. After multiple attempts I finally reach the store only to be told a manager has to perform the credit. Never heard anything again. Yesterday I am there in person at 130pm and the manager has “left for the day”. They took my name and number down, yet my confidence is not high I will ever see that money again. The YouTube video didn't help with gaining access to the storage building because it did not explain I would need to enter the code twice. I had to enter the main building to ask for help. I paid online so I wouldn't need to go inside due to COVID precautions because no employee was wearing a mask. When I got to my storage unit. The sliding part of the lock was extremely hard to move. I called for help but by the time the employee made it to me. I had used my cellphone to get the lock to slide over to open the unit. Well, the employee that did show up acted like he was annoyed with helping me. He asked, if I paid my 1st months rent. I told him that I wouldn't have gotten access if I hadn't. I let him know it was difficult to open but I got it open but the lock was not inside like previously stated while signing up online. I asked the employee would he bring it to me. He said," I could come to the office when I was ready because he had customers and he was busy." I did not appreciate that comment because I am a paying customer too and I explained to him I had already been in the office for help with access with door and I didn't want to go back to the office for something that should have already have been placed inside my unit. Later on my sister needed to get a few more boxes. The young lady on the register did not know how to ring her up. She was asked 8 time what size boxes she had. My sister let the employees know that customers was poor here. The employee that was annoyed the first time we needed help stated, "I'm not sure why you feel that way because I've only dealt with yall one time." My sister explained his comments were not needed. I rate this experience as poor because no employee should tell a customer I'm busy helping other customers and what you need does not matter. I am a customer as well and have used uhaul for over 10 years. Also, staff members that aren't fully trained should not be in Customer Service as this is the face of the company and when they lack knowledge or lack customer service skills this is a poor experience for your customers. The storage unit area was infested with roaches at night, and the staff was rude and disinterested. My favorite was a young guy with curly hair who had no training or pride in his work. He couldn't print a receipt, and after having me wait for at least ten minutes while he did who knows what on his pc, he started to browse on his phone while I'm standing there. The only problem i had was when I first moved my things in there were visible roaches crawling near the units.
