Man who checked in the truck wanted to charge me for fuel, even after I advised him I filled the tank less than 4 miles away, because the gauge showed 7/8ths. He was adamant about the extra fuel charge, UNTIL I showed him the picture of the gauge when I picked the truck up, and I KNEW the agent in Duncan and just filled the tank. I have to wonder how many innocent people are charged extra due to defective gauges.Kerry R.
The rate I was quoted with the expected total mileage was not the mileage and rate I was given. The General Manager, Rob Welch, informed me the mileage expectation of 800- 850 would be noted at 750 ;however, he would adjust to the appropriate mileage when I returned. When I returned, he politely had an employee of his check me back in and slyly failed to adjust as he had promised. Total rip-off. I believe the person assisting me is a new employee. I know that U-Haul had a terrible weekend when the whole computer system shutdown. The person assisting me asked for my credit card and had to call in to get it verified and paid, but he didn't return it to me. We got side tracked with a cash purchase and the card was left on the counter. I drove off to my destination and as I was prepared to fill my vehicle with gas, I didn't have my card. I called both the 800 number and this locations number and at no prevail. I then called 800 UHaul number and a note was sent to the manager to call me about the card and verify that it was there and safe. I Never heard from anyone. I then called back a day later and finally got someone to answer the phone and they verified that it was there at the card was there at the office. I asked if they would mail it to me and they suggested I should call and cancel this card and get a new one as they will shred it. What an inconvenience this is to me as I have to wait 7-10 days for a new card. So, I am disappointed in this transaction. There should be new or better training on how to process credit cards and customer service on card handeling.DANIEL T.
U haul networks were down this made the check out a nightmare. I will say that Rachel was calm and very professional. She is a asset to your company. The truck worked great and the UHaul Rep was friendly and helpful, but the interior of the truck was a bit dirty and as I was cleaning up the truck for return to UHaul I found a previous user's gumballs and a receipt under the passenger seat. Not cool.Bruce W.
