El servicio es útil por la disponibilidad, pero la relación calidad-precio es decepcionante. El gancho del alquiler bajo desaparece rápido con el costo excesivo por milla, que termina inflando la factura final de forma desproporcionada.
Lo más preocupante es el mantenimiento; me he encontrado con camiones en malas condiciones mecánicas o estéticas. Entiendo que pasan por muchas manos y que no todos los clientes los cuidan 'con dolor propio', pero como empresa, U-Haul debería reinvertir lo que cobra en millas en asegurar que los vehículos estén en óptimo estado. Pagas un precio premium por las millas, pero recibes un equipo que a veces se siente descuidado...

RECLAMO FORMAL - Mala conducta profesional severa, cobros fraudulentos y hurto de propiedad.

A la atención de la Dirección Corporativa de U-Haul:
Por medio de la presente, presento una queja formal y enérgica por la experiencia denigrante y abusiva sufrida el día 02/02/2026 en la sucursal ubicada en 10895 NW 21st St, Miami, FL 33172 , relacionada con el contrato de alquiler del camión de 20 pies numero 16216272 de fecha 02/01/2026.
Este reclamo no se limita a un servicio deficiente; se trata de una serie de incidentes graves que detalló a continuación:
Conducta Antiprofesional y Abuso de Poder: La encargada de turno la señorita Carolina manifestó explícitamente, y cito: "Sabe que yo pude haberle quitado ese cobro adicional... pero porque no me da la gana no se lo voy a hacer". Esta declaración es una admisión directa de mala fe y una violación de las políticas de transparencia de su empresa.
Fraude en Cobros de Combustible: A pesar de haber entregado el vehículo con el millaje y nivel de combustible correctos (respaldado por evidencia fotográfica y recibos de carga de gasolina que presenté en el lugar), se me aplicó un cargo excedente de manera arbitraria.
Hurto de Propiedad Privada: Durante el servicio, un accesorio de mi teléfono fue sustraído del vehículo mientras estaba bajo la custodia de su personal. La respuesta del Manager General el señor EMIR JIMENEZ y la encargada la señorita CAROLINA fue una total desatención, alegando inmunidad corporativa al decir que "ponían las manos al fuego por sus trabajadores Y que no se hacian responsables de ninguna pertenencia de los clientes en sus vehicluos, que en ninguna parte de Miami las compañias se hacian responsables" ; desestimando mi denuncia sin una investigación mínima.
Maltrato Verbal: El Manager General del edificio el señor EMIR JIMENEZ terminó la comunicación colgándome el teléfono tras hablarme de forma grosera, mientras que la encargada la señorita CAROLINA me tildó de "mentiroso" frente a testigos presenciales.
Esta situación fue presenciada por dos testigos el señor CARLOS y la señorita YEIMA, quienes tambien son empleados de dicha sucursal antes mencionada, ellos fueron testigos de la hostilidad del ambiente y la negativa de la encargada para revisar las pruebas físicas que les fueron mostradas.
Exigencias: Debido a la gravedad de los hechos, exijo una revisión inmediata de este caso por parte de un supervisor regional o corporativo que no esté vinculado a esta sucursal.
Solicito:
El reembolso inmediato de los cargos por combustible cobrados indebidamente.
Una compensación por el accesorio hurtado o, en su defecto, acceso a las grabaciones de seguridad para proceder legalmente.
Una disculpa formal por el trato denigrante recibido.
No aceptaré que este reclamo sea gestionado por la misma sucursal implicada, ya que han demostrado falta de integridad y ética. De no recibir una respuesta satisfactoria en un plazo de 5 días hábiles, procederé a elevar este caso ante el Better Business Bureau (BBB) y a través de mis plataformas de redes sociales para advertir a otros consumidores que no sean victimas de estos empleados que se toman atribuciones de la compañía, la cual les remunera por tratar bien a sus clientes.
Quedo a la espera de su respuesta inmediata, manteniendo la insatisfacción y desazón que me dejo esta experiencia y si alguna persona quiere los detalles de todo este mal trato dejo mis medios de comunicación al final para advertirles que tengan mucho cuidado con sus pertenencias a la hora de rentar en esta ubicación.

The lady that took care of us at the front desk, shouldnt even work for U-Haul. She showed little sense of urgency. Moving like a sloth and not friendly at all. Moving is stressful as is, and I came in prepared with a reservation for a truck and 2 dollies and 1 furniture dolly. She asked me, "You want 2 dollies?" and looked at me as if I came from another planet, as if the request was too hard to fathom for her. Yes I responded, I want 2 dollies. She then responds we will have to see if their even available. Mind you, I made this reservation almost a month in advance and I am first to arrive at the Uhaul location at 7am. What's the point of a reservation, if I get this type of response of, "We'll see if their even available." The process took about 30minutes, because she was so lost. The general manager had to assist her and physically point out the obvious and tell her, Yes the 2 dollies and 1 furniture dolly are available, I placed them right here by the front door! Mind you she is about 3 feet away from the 2 dollies and 1 furniture dolly. The general manager was extremely helpful, but her on the other hand is bringing that location down. People are moving this process especially with a reservation placed should be seamless, not torture.

When I rented the car, they incorrectly marked the gas tank, charged me more for gas, and an additional fee of $30, supposedly because I didn't pay the difference in gas when I returned it.

When I arrived, Maria assisted me with the rental process. She asked if I wanted insurance, and I declined.
Later that day, while I was completing my tasks, I realized I needed to extend my rental by two additional hours. Upon reviewing the contract, I noticed that "safe move" insurance had been added without my consent.
When I returned the truck, I explained the situation to Maria. She claimed she didn’t remember my refusal of the insurance and said it couldn’t be removed. Then she mentioned that the system sometimes has glitches, offering multiple excuses.
I remained resolute, knowing I had clearly communicated that I did not want insurance and trusted her to verify my preference before finalizing the rental.
Eventually, she called the general manager, who instructed her to refund the original contract and create a new one. This process would temporarily hold my initial payment while removing the additional charge.
I felt fortunate to have the necessary funds available, but I couldn’t help but think about those who may not have had the financial flexibility to manage such a situation.
As a U-Haul employee, it’s vital to understand customer intentions and acknowledge when a mistake is made by the company, rather than placing the burden on the customer. It’s important to rectify errors and move forward without insisting that customers accept charges they did not agree to.

When I picked up the van the tank was not full and the guy puts full on the paper, when I dropped it off, I put the tank full and they reported in my invoice that was not full, they added on paper more miles than the ones I actually did. In general I felt robbed, never again with that Uhaul place . You have to do everything in front of the guy at all times to avoid tge scam, Uhaul lost my trust.

as a mechanic the truck given to me had alignment issues as well as transmission slipping the truck would hesitate to change gears also when i got my receipt after the return of the truck i was charged $120 for damages that were not done to the truck wish they were clear on what the damages were not just that but they dont specify on what happened and the truck was returned just how it was received by me only thing extra i used was the dolly which i dont think would cost $120 of i used it it is a steal and feel robbed by uhaul the staff were definatly amazing except for the reports.

I was given an upstairs unit. The elevator was consistently broken which required me to make many sweaty, dangerous trips up and down the stairs. Lots of excuses from the staff and lots of extra work on my part. Fortunately, i am able bodied and not infirm or elderly with small children in tow. I submitted a complaint to corporate and seek compensation for my continued inconvenience.

I had no trouble with the storage unit. My problem was with the cargo van I rented from U Haul for my son. The first day he had it, it wouldn't start. He missed his first day of work. Then it broke down 3 more times after that, leaving him stranded. I hope to receive compensation for all our troubles. Road side assistance and " traffic" and customer service were called many times. The real bad thing about this storage place is that you can’t never get in the building with your code. We have talked to the front office and they would say that’s how that facility is. We changed the code and reset it a few times and nothing …so we had to go through the door in the back ans walk to the main door and open it from inside so it’s really not even secure because that door in the back was always open and you didn't need a code. I was getting frustrating.

Horrible experience, was a customer for 6 years and the owner just kicks us out without warning due to a door triggering an alarm that we didn’t know about or get a warning. Floor would get flooded with water and nothing is safe in the units for that very reason, staff is not friendly at all and very disrespectful. Will never return here

The trailer parked in front of the door way is a accident waiting to happen. Huge safety issue. The place is so small that it tight to move around in the facility parking area.
The young lady in the office was very pleasant. That was such a plus.

BEWARE of the manager at this propety, a filthy corrupt woman named menissa who tampers with storage customer privileges, by locking them out of their units at her convenience to save herself extra work. She also illegally modifies their access without notice locking them in the property without a chance to get out. She makes their access SHORTER than the 5am to 10pm company hours, without motive, at any time. If you value your money and time, avoid this company altogether.

I had a very unpleasant experience with your new manager, a extremely aggressive woman, with customer service skills. I had worked with this facility for years, very convenient for me because it’s near my office. But since you have this new woman as manager, it’s nothing but problems with he. I need to infirm you that she changed my storage unit, without any authorization to my daughter name, she denied me a promotional service I received from one of the office girl, I went to the office to ask her the reason of all this. She screamed at me that U-Haul is loading money do to these promotions, 3 weeks after I received such promotion from the office, but not only that the woman told me to take my stuff somewhere else, that I will do her a favor
I can go one and one. But my question is, I don’t understand how a Company like U-Haul can have a person working at his facility with this actitud and with no customer service skill impolite vulgar and completely abrasive

Con esta nota les quiero comunicar mi gran desagrado con la nueva administradora “gerente” a cargo de esta localidad Dolphine Center 10895 NW 21st St, Miami, FL 33172
.Esta mujer es agresiva mal educada sin respeto al cliente, no entiendo como una empresa como U-Haul puede tener una persona de tan mala educación a cargo de sus instilaciones. Esta mujer cambió el deposito “storage” a nombre de mi hijo y mi persona, a nombre de mi hija Fedra Florez sin ningún autorización previa, aparta de denegar me un depósito que la empleado Amanda me ofreció bajo una promoción, cuando alquilas un camión de mudanza, el primer mes de almacenaje es gratis. Esta mujer me faltó el respeto cuando yo le pregunté sobre estos 2 cosas, pidiendo me que mejor yo lleve mis cosas de ahí, que yo le hacía un favor en retirarme. Mi compañía ha rentado por años camiones de esta localidad, siempre habernos encontrado con gente profesional como el Sr Willy y las jóvenes que trabajan en esta oficina. No es mi deseo tener que trabajar con esta nueva gerente, ya que ella no es una persona con cual yo me siento a gusto en seguir trabajando, mi experiencia es muy decepcionante, en esta localidad

Menissa the Store Manager at your Dolphin 787072 location is absolutely an asset to your organization. She is a shinning star and her customer service orientation includes but not limited to guide, recommend, suggest, ask probing questions to determine which was the best rental space solution to my needs.
I am really happy that I selected this facility.
