The online check-in process is cumbersome and I was unable to find the vehicle location; however, when I entered the store the agent brought the vehicle to the front. If the store has been closed, I am not sure I would have been able to access the vehicle.

When I rented the car, they incorrectly marked the gas tank, charged me more for gas, and an additional fee of $30, supposedly because I didn't pay the difference in gas when I returned it.

When I arrived, Maria assisted me with the rental process. She asked if I wanted insurance, and I declined.
Later that day, while I was completing my tasks, I realized I needed to extend my rental by two additional hours. Upon reviewing the contract, I noticed that "safe move" insurance had been added without my consent.
When I returned the truck, I explained the situation to Maria. She claimed she didn’t remember my refusal of the insurance and said it couldn’t be removed. Then she mentioned that the system sometimes has glitches, offering multiple excuses.
I remained resolute, knowing I had clearly communicated that I did not want insurance and trusted her to verify my preference before finalizing the rental.
Eventually, she called the general manager, who instructed her to refund the original contract and create a new one. This process would temporarily hold my initial payment while removing the additional charge.
I felt fortunate to have the necessary funds available, but I couldn’t help but think about those who may not have had the financial flexibility to manage such a situation.
As a U-Haul employee, it’s vital to understand customer intentions and acknowledge when a mistake is made by the company, rather than placing the burden on the customer. It’s important to rectify errors and move forward without insisting that customers accept charges they did not agree to.

When I picked up the van the tank was not full and the guy puts full on the paper, when I dropped it off, I put the tank full and they reported in my invoice that was not full, they added on paper more miles than the ones I actually did. In general I felt robbed, never again with that Uhaul place . You have to do everything in front of the guy at all times to avoid tge scam, Uhaul lost my trust.

as a mechanic the truck given to me had alignment issues as well as transmission slipping the truck would hesitate to change gears also when i got my receipt after the return of the truck i was charged $120 for damages that were not done to the truck wish they were clear on what the damages were not just that but they dont specify on what happened and the truck was returned just how it was received by me only thing extra i used was the dolly which i dont think would cost $120 of i used it it is a steal and feel robbed by uhaul the staff were definatly amazing except for the reports.

I reserved the truck 8 days before the date I needed it, and I spoke with a person the day before making sure everything was ok, and he assured my rental was secure. The next morning at 7 am I went to pick up and ther was no lock box assigend to me I had to call customer service and the very nice lady helpeme, but still I had to go to 2 places before I could get my truck, this delayed my moving time 2 hours and my time was preciusbecause I was paying 2 guys to help me I had to pay each 2 additional hours work.

The poor rating is solely based on my experience during the return of the vehicle. I rented the vehicle the day before around 4 pm. I clearly stated that I would be using the vehicle for about 8 hours. I was told that I had to return it in the morning because the location closes at 7:00 or 8:00 pm. I told him that I should be back before 12:00 pm the next day even though I was paying for a full 24 hours. I asked if I could leave my car there and the salesperson said yes. I purchased two 50 feet nylon ropes and was told if I did not use them I could return them and be refunded. The salesperson who rented the vehicle was effective, efficient, and entirely professional. The two Uhaul employees who were present when I dropped of the vehicle were not attentive, dismissive, and simply not professional.
I received a phone call a few minutes prior to 12 pm on the day that I was supposed to return the truck even though I only had the truck for about 20 hours. I told them that I was putting gas in and would be there in ten minutes. When I arrived at the Uhaul office one of the employees seemed to have been completing a transaction with another customer and the other employee was sitting and 100% attentive to his cell phone (checking messages or playing a game); he may have looked up once. I don't know if this is consistent with Uhaul's standards. I was eventually attended to by the other employee. I immediately told him that I was returning the two 50 feet nylon ropes that I purchased but did not use. He took the ropes and informed me that he could only accept one of them because the other was used. I asked why. His response was because a piece of the plastic covering was missing. My response was that its obvious that I did not use it because it is perfectly configured exactly like the other one. Additionally, I stated that the portion of the plastic that was off could have been given to me like that.
The employee who was previously busy on his phone eventually walked outside with me to inspect the vehicle. Immediately when I stepped outside I noticed that the liftgate on the truck was open and the hand truck was not inside. I immediately asked him if one of the other employees opened the liftgate and removed the hand truck, he said that he did not know. I had to pass the back of the truck before entering the office, so it is highly unlikely that I would not have noticed that I had driven the truck with the liftgate open. He then went on to check the gas and return without communicating anything to me. I asked him again to find out if another employee opened to truck and removed the hand truck.
When we returned inside, he asked the other employee if he had gone outside and removed the hand truck. I was confused by this because we were all in the office together and nobody had gone outside before we did. However, this confirmed that this employee was busy on his phone and totally not paying attention. I found it hard to believe that I drove there, which was about 3/4 of a mile from the gas station (where the lift gate was securely closed) with an open lift gate. Assuming that someone stole the hand truck after I parked at the property, I asked if they had video of the outside. He looked at his computer and eventually showed me a picture or video of a truck with an open lift gate. I did tell them that the western approach to the facility was an unpaved rocky road and the lift gate may have opened there and the hand truck could have slid out (I did not believe this but it seemed plausible). I then went outside to see if the hand truck had dropped out on the rocky road; I did not see it. They told me that I would not be charged for the hand truck. I said thank you and waited for my receipt. They informed me that it would be emailed. I asked them to close the contract out and give me the receipt before I left. it took a few minutes but I eventually got the receipt. They initially told me that it was emailed to the address on file. Their printer was out of paper and they had to retrieve some from upstairs.
When I reviewed the receipt, I immediately realized that I had been charged for two days of rental. This was a problem because I had the truck for less that one day (less than 24 hours). I was also charged $18.00 for gas when I thought I had brought the truck back with sufficient gas. This was never explained to me because I would have returned to the gas station to put in the additional gas instead of paying a premium for it. The employee said that was a system error but he would remove the charge for the second day. I was wondering if he was going to refund the money to my debit card and then charge it again. He never explained this and then proceeded with the refund. He then told me that I would now have to pay for the hand truck. I was not happy with this decision but I was in a difficult situation to mount any objection. I did ask the employee if the picture that I saw on his computer was me approaching with the truck or was it after I had already parked the truck. He stated that it was with me approaching and the lift gate was already open.
As I suspected the charge was refunded to my debit card and then my debit card was charged again. Once again there was no explanation of communication because I would have preferred for the money to be refunded and for me to pay with a credit card instead. However, since the refund had happened and the new charge, with $120.00 for the hand truck, was already on the debit card I inquired about how long would it take for the refunded amount to be returned to my debit card. The employee stated that it usually takes a few minutes or at most a few hours to be returned. I simply had zero confidence in his answer because I had experienced this before. Another employee eventually showed up to help him, I then asked her the question about the refund and she said it was up to my bank when I would see the funds returned to my account. I then told the employee who had given me incorrect information it would have been better for him to say that he did not know and then ask somebody else.
I have rented with Uhaul on multiple ocassions over the years. My daughter (Alexandria Major) recently rented a truck and a hitch in Norfolk Virginia and we drove all the way to Miami and actually returned the truck at this current location; this experience was pleasant on both ends. My son recently had to move from Charleston SC to Norfolk VA and we rented a truck from Enterprise. This was also a very pleasant experience.
Needless to say that I am deeply disappointed in the service that I received upon returning the vehicle. The lack of professionalism and concern was nothing like I had experienced before. My wife and I will be relocating out of the state of Florida next year and based on the service that I received makes it certain we will explore other options to help us with our move. I look forward to a follow up to this comment.

I was given an upstairs unit. The elevator was consistently broken which required me to make many sweaty, dangerous trips up and down the stairs. Lots of excuses from the staff and lots of extra work on my part. Fortunately, i am able bodied and not infirm or elderly with small children in tow. The real bad thing about this storage place is that you can’t never get in the building with your code. We have talked to the front office and they would say that’s how that facility is. We changed the code and reset it a few times and nothing …so we had to go through the door in the back ans walk to the main door and open it from inside so it’s really not even secure because that door in the back was always open and you didn't need a code. I was getting frustrating.

Horrible experience, was a customer for 6 years and the owner just kicks us out without warning due to a door triggering an alarm that we didn’t know about or get a warning. Floor would get flooded with water and nothing is safe in the units for that very reason, staff is not friendly at all and very disrespectful. Will never return here

The trailer parked in front of the door way is a accident waiting to happen. Huge safety issue. The place is so small that it tight to move around in the facility parking area.
The young lady in the office was very pleasant. That was such a plus.

BEWARE of the manager at this propety, a filthy corrupt woman named menissa who tampers with storage customer privileges, by locking them out of their units at her convenience to save herself extra work. She also illegally modifies their access without notice locking them in the property without a chance to get out. She makes their access SHORTER than the 5am to 10pm company hours, without motive, at any time. If you value your money and time, avoid this company altogether.

I had a very unpleasant experience with your new manager, a extremely aggressive woman, with customer service skills. I had worked with this facility for years, very convenient for me because it’s near my office. But since you have this new woman as manager, it’s nothing but problems with he. I need to infirm you that she changed my storage unit, without any authorization to my daughter name, she denied me a promotional service I received from one of the office girl, I went to the office to ask her the reason of all this. She screamed at me that U-Haul is loading money do to these promotions, 3 weeks after I received such promotion from the office, but not only that the woman told me to take my stuff somewhere else, that I will do her a favor
I can go one and one. But my question is, I don’t understand how a Company like U-Haul can have a person working at his facility with this actitud and with no customer service skill impolite vulgar and completely abrasive

Con esta nota les quiero comunicar mi gran desagrado con la nueva administradora “gerente” a cargo de esta localidad Dolphine Center 10895 NW 21st St, Miami, FL 33172
.Esta mujer es agresiva mal educada sin respeto al cliente, no entiendo como una empresa como U-Haul puede tener una persona de tan mala educación a cargo de sus instilaciones. Esta mujer cambió el deposito “storage” a nombre de mi hijo y mi persona, a nombre de mi hija Fedra Florez sin ningún autorización previa, aparta de denegar me un depósito que la empleado Amanda me ofreció bajo una promoción, cuando alquilas un camión de mudanza, el primer mes de almacenaje es gratis. Esta mujer me faltó el respeto cuando yo le pregunté sobre estos 2 cosas, pidiendo me que mejor yo lleve mis cosas de ahí, que yo le hacía un favor en retirarme. Mi compañía ha rentado por años camiones de esta localidad, siempre habernos encontrado con gente profesional como el Sr Willy y las jóvenes que trabajan en esta oficina. No es mi deseo tener que trabajar con esta nueva gerente, ya que ella no es una persona con cual yo me siento a gusto en seguir trabajando, mi experiencia es muy decepcionante, en esta localidad

She is a shinning star and her customer service orientation includes but not limited to guide, recommend, suggest, ask probing questions to determine which was the best rental space solution to my needs.
