I returned the gas tank at 1/4, which is where it was when I picked the truck up. However, I was charged $30.00 for gas. I did not realize this until I had checked my receipt later on.

I used a different location for dropoff. Location was inside a poorly maintained Laundromat. It was not open when I arrived so I did not interact with any personnel, I did the after hours self drop off.

The entire purpose of going to the Uhaul rental site in Greenville, was to make sure they rented me a 1 way to Edisto Beach with a Drop off at: 5213 SC highway 174, Adams Run, SC. I was charged an additional $400*/- for not returning the rental to Greenville. This should not have been charged to me and should be returned. Call me at 864-505-5866

I didn't like the bar for the lock it was raggedy the storage had rat poison in it...that's why I got my stuff out....didn't want the rats to come back get that bar fixed or replace it

As I was completing the self-service return process online, a gentleman came out of the office and went directly into the cab of the truck to gather the mileage and fuel remaining. He didn't say one word to me the entire time while I waited. I had to ask him if he needed anything else before he spoke. Just some basic communication would have been helpful.

The guys working at this location are great. Laid back and efficient. They had a great sense of humor for New Years Eve and New Years Day. The inside of the windshield was crazy nasty like someone had sneezed several dozen times... BUT that was the only thing I could possible complain about. (It was so bad it caused issues from sun glare...)

Cameron and the young lady that helped me on the phone were very helpful. Such a joy to finally get human beings and face-to-face help. The first U-Haul site the app sent us to did not have storage. The second did not have human beings or even a phone number. The central dispatching number for U-Haul was very frustrating too (I am 70 years old, and had driven twelve hours the day before pulling a trailer travelling through a window of time between snowstorms. Stressed and strained.) Bravo to U-Haul and the fine staff at your facility.

We were pretty upset to see an employee had been in storage unit. My husband's brand new air compressor had been switched. Upon getting stuff out and home. The only problem I had was that rats got into my INDOOR storage unit & destroyed my very expensive couch and it was well wrapped. I didn't expect rats to be a problem in an indoor facility. I'm not happy about this at all!

The staff had no idea what they were doing, we ended up having to get a different storage unit way down the haul from our original one because of such. There was a q-tip from the previous users that had so much ear wax on it that it was sticking to the wall. The insulation inside looks like it will give you asbestos. The move in process wasn’t smooth at all because there’s a huge bump that you have to get over to even get into the facility.

The manager of this facility did not want to redeem my free first month of storage that I qualified for by renting a uhaul trailer a couple days ago. His explanation was that he is the manager of that location and he doesn't work like other managers at other locations and he would be loosing money by giving me a free month. Very disappointing

I selected this rating, NOT because of unprofessional or unfriendly staff, but because of the painstaking difficulty of reserving my unit. Because the online reservation system 'crashed,' I was unable to complete my check-in online. Then, on two further occasions - one over the phone and one in-person - my reservation got lost for whatever unknown reasons. Fortunately, the third try was a success, and by the stroke of luck they still had a unit available for me, otherwise I would have been S.O.L. with a truckload full of stuff. Apart from all of this, the storage unit itself was fine, and the people were friendly.

With current economic pressures we had fallen behind on payments and the items in the unit were of more sentimental value than monetary value . I was afraid we were going to loose them but the management was incredibly compassionate and generous and allowed us to retain the contents of our unit and we are extremely grateful for their kindness. Would reccomend for anyone needing storage. Rent was a good rate too! Thank you! If I had any suggestions it would be to mention that the smallest truck doesn't have a ramp. It is my fault for not reading the info thoroughly but I imagine this happens frequently enough that it is worth noting... again thank you very very much!

One man employed there has to handle the office and the storage area. I had to wait an hour before the office opened which he explained that he was the only one there. He was very helpful. However there is no sign nor anything posted that that location is now primarily just for storage. When the service rep from 1800 uhaul sent me there she should have told me that.

although a little tight getting in and out of the location, the staff here were always extremely friendly and more than willing to help. When we got ready to move out and needed help with boxes they helped us put the boxes in our vehicle. When it was time to load the car on the hauler, they were extremely helpful. If I had to do it again, I would use this Uhaul.

Got charged an extra 78$ on my credit card, I call your store and ask what it is for non of the employees seem to know, how we about 10 minutes later oh it's because you brought the truck back late. I returned the truck a day early. The employee says oh yeah you did I don't know why this is here we will refund you. 3 weeks later no refund. Everytime I call the store no one wants to help me. U haul is in the business of ripping people off. Wont be using them ever again.

I had a lot of trouble with the online reservation system, had to go to the office and wait in a long line, but the staff was helpful, efficient and friendly. I found the climate controlled area to be uncomfortably hot and the cart by the door was missing a wheel. The unit itself was in good shape but the floor was dirty (found a loose nail) and the rodent trap was unsettling.

Although I answered yes to the question was the facility clean and well maintained, the unit we rented was a bit dirty and it has two rat traps in it which does not give us a tremendous amount of good feeling. Would likely have rented from the place across the street if I had actually seen it first. It seems to be a bit old.

Trent was rude. And I was trying to call customer service to get the situation resolved. When I was moving the pickup time had to be rescheduled and the unit size for storage was not correct size. Customer Service put the wrong size. Trent ( owner) said unit size could not be changed. Put a lock on storage and called police. Very unprofessional actions and he made a negative remark about my hospital visit and my dog dying. It was not call for. Unethical actions

This unit was rented due to a move that did not go as planned. I had movers cancel on me at the last minute and needed somewhere to store my personal belongings until movers were available. I liked the fact that the unit was inside. The staff was excellent at providing my access card and lock and key. The unit itself was clean and very easy to access. When it was time to turn everything back in I had no trouble at all. The staff was friendly fast and efficient. If I were to ever have this situation occur again I would not hesitate to rent another unit.

Demetria was so very nice and pleasant! We forgot to bring some bottles of water and she gave my wife & me two bottles of her own. The restroom was spotless and the two young men inside were very helpful and pleasant. The one that initially waited on us even helped me pick a unit for storage that would be easiest for me to drive the 20' truck to! When we finished putting our things in the unit, the other young man who checked us out was nice enough to get the truck and back it out for me. Recommend this U-Haul site if you need to rent a truck or a storage unit.

Very unprofessional. Over priced. My unit was ransacked and items like a bookcase belonging to my grandfather stolen. Due to the gate being broken for five months. Units full of mouse/rat excrement & urine. Everything stored had to be thoroughly cleaned before moving into our home, resulting in a extremely costly expense. Very difficult to move around facility due to U-haul moving trucks parked haphazardly along the sides and in the rows leading to the storage unit. I definitely do NOT recommend unless you're desperate. The storage facility I use now is locked, video cameras record each vehicle. And your time you open & close the gate until you open & close to leave is recorded. Only one vehicle can enter at a time and the units are clean. For a lot less money. Thank goodness I no longer have to use the storage facility at 529 Wade Hampton Blvd! One more thing, the largest unit they offer is 10 x 15. If you have a full 26 ft. truck you'll need two units. And that's with professional people packing each unit neatly and using every bit of space. Two units cost $289.90 every month, with vermin infested, hard to get to, no security, etc. Decide for yourself, but I won't use them again.

Although I give praise to your staff at the Wade Hampton facility in Greenville, SC, the storage room was not in the best condition. The first room I rented had fiber panels in the ceiling damage and hanging from the ceiling coming in contact with it. I complained and the staff moved me to another room. This room had rat droppings on and in my boxes. I complained and ask for the box that controlled the rats. It didn't work and later I complained again then they moved me to another room. The rats were coming from a small hole in the rear wall This was a nasty, unsanitized, and unsafe room. I moved out yesterday and I will never rent another storage area from this Uhaul. I have used them in past years and never had any problems until I rented from this facility.

“Climate controlled” - unit spent most of its time at more than 100F this summer. “Well lit” - 1 month WITHOUT ANY lights. “Secure” - gate often left wide open well after closing hours.
