Reminder phone calls before cancelling reservation; I had not realized my pick-up time was 9 a.m. When I arrived closer to 1, my reservation was gone. However I deeply appreciate how quickly the staff fixed this problem and found another truck for me! Thanks so much!

Although this location had terrible customer serivice, that I could look past, the truck I was given had not been cleaned. The truck had ashes all over the dash and in the cup holders, dust/pollen/smoke residue all over the dash and grass/dirt throughout. The smoke stench was unbearable throughout the drive. I didn’t have time to run back in and go through the process of getting another truck. However, when I returned the truck I called the customer service line about, they were able to help me through everything. The representative was so understanding and apologetic. As I was leaving, they backed the truck I rented into a parking space, put up a windshield visor, and locked the door. Once again, not cleaning it. Must be a backup. I have used uhaul for years and this is my first bad experience with them. Their customer service center is exceptional!

Need to have more uniformity among your bigger, dedicated locations on deposit and payment policy. Some stores take cash. Some don't.. Thing is, when you reserve online or thru the main U-Haul reservation number, you're told "YES" on cash then find out "NO" when you get there. (Managerial Discretion branch to branch). This forced me to make a mad dash to my bank and put the cash back-in to cover the rental and deposit WHICH was graciously waved for the minor inconvenience. Overall, the staff at your Wade Hampton location was courteous,quite helpful, and very efficient1

Truck bed had several pieces of broken glass with large shards. The driver side window was very difficult to roll up or down. The truck had 124K miles and the transmission downshifted with great difficulty.

I got charged for a 2 dolly’s furniture pads, and I didn’t get them.

The service was good. The trailer needs a little attention: Minor: drivers side front-facing marker light is out. More important: one wire in the wiring harness from trailer has fatigued and broken (the running lights I think). Lastly: the 4-pin extension which was given to me to replace the one when I picked it up was damaged. I thought it was to blame for the lighting problems however more likely is that it was the harness. Both should be repaired or replaced.
