The truck was only 3/4 full of gas from the previous drop off, which I wound up paying for when I filled up in Pine City. When I received the truck the gauge was above the colored graduations but not on the F for full. How could I know if this was how this particular truck indicated a full tank?Douglas F.
Both fenders of the trailer were damaged. The passenger side fender had 4 holes and was held together with zip ties. The rear door handle was not attached correctly and would slide up and down the bar. The latch bar was not attached correctly and had to be lifted to engage the locks. The turn signals quit working part way through the trip. The dolly and furniture pads were not in the trailer at time of pickup and we had to return to get them. The rental site was not the original rental site, causing an extra hour of driving to get the trailer and the return to get the proper equipment.Jason H.

When I went to pick up the truck at the original location I went through the entire process to find that the key had not been placed in the lock box. I called for support and they had me drive to their Hermantown location. Overall, my experience was ok but I was very disappointed with the location off of grand avenue. I likely will not recommend uhaul to my friends not use it again in the future due to this issue.Jessica B.

I was very pleased with the good service I received when I picked up the rental truck. The truck was in very good condition and the loading, the drive and the unloading went very well. I enjoyed driving the truck to my destination. The trip went well. The personnel both on site and the staff at the service center in Las Vegas (Linda in particular) were great! Nothing--no improvement needed! I've had a complicated hitch situation involving installation, removal, re-installation of a different hitch, and then changing wiring from 4-pin to 7-pin AND installing a trailer brake controller. Manager Sarah Hudrick and Hitch Professional Tyler Swanson have been awesome to work with throughout it all. Patient, helpful, friendly, fair with pricing, and very knowledgeable. my hitch installation caused several car issues as the installation was done poorly. they removed the air filter system when hooking to battery oir moved it causing my mass air flow sensor to stop working - causing delays in my move and extra expenses in car repairs. I was not even able to use this car to complete my move so expense of the hitch was a complete was of money and wasted money on car repairs i did not need prior to hitch installation caused by installation methods. I am very upset and would appreciate a refund of my money. I also have the added expense of now getting this car to my daughter in Denver as we had to use my car to make the move and leave the other car with new hitch in SD till i could get repaired. Love this location as far as rentals etc however i would never have a hitch installedCAROL M.

Good experience with my storage. The unit could be cleaner/more updated -- some ladybugs got into my stuff. No big deal, I just hope other bugs didn't. I kept having to buy a specific lock that they require for the unit as well, which kept breaking! I wish we could use other lock types. Staff was great, the manager is really nice as well. Sarah was especially helpful at move-in. Ritchie was very helpful in setting up my move-in a week earlier. Overall, move-in was a great experience. Access signage from HWY 53 needs to be improved for the 1st time customer. Trees block the U-Haul building sign from the highway. The actual small entrance is unmarked and easy to miss. My bill was higher than it was to be, they had my car carrier on it as being returned that day when a tow truck had to haul it away day before, told me I would be extended till the end of the day for free and when I called later to check the time they said I had till the next morning at 10 and when I got there they said I was late had to be back the day before, and had charges on there that I wasn't aware of and insurance I didn't need seeing as I had my own . Then never came up with a correct bill and put me on a note to pay up within a week. All I know is I will NEVER EVER use U-Haul again as long as I'm alive, I will most definitely contact someone else like HERTZ MOVERS OR HAUL MY STUFF MY WAGON I HAD TO BUT NEVER UHAUL AGAIN!Sheila H.

I wish you would go back to filling tanks so that they can be returned full. The fuel wasn't properly recorded and the picture disappeared after I reported it so I didn't have a jumping off point. Also, the mileage was not calculated correctly so I was charged $1 per mile over. If it had been properly calculated, there would have been minimal extra charges.Nicol R.

Sarah Hudrick at the Duluth, MN location (actually in Hermantown, MN) is stellar! She's savvy about people's moving and storage needs and is also very efficient in processing whatever is required for your rental, be it equipment or storage space. Also: I never had to wait for someone to help me in the "store," If the right person wasn't on the spot, whoever was there would call for a person to come in and help a customer. I went to 3 uhauls and drove 40 miles tonight and spent 5 hours in a parking lot or driving back and forth in two states trying to pick up a reserved rental I was finally connected to a gal who gave me $50 reembursment but I only get it went collecting the rental so I’m sure it’s no good now I have up and went home having my mother who is 75 come at 6:0 am to get to uhaul before they open and be first in line after being on hold listening to the same 15 words for over an hour and finally hanging up 3 driver’s licenses woke up my daughter to verify cause me and my driver already had and they took until 1:30 to call her and she fell back to sleep on third attempt after being sent to the darkest rural far away secluded parking lot of a salon from a ghost town with the open sign eerily left on by mistake not a uhaul sign to save your soul feeling like the abandoned uhaul was full of man that were gonna jump out and kidnap me for sure I threw in the towel and drove home swearing and complaining and trying to scramble a plan together and talking with my bible when I ly down I have calmed down enough to appreciate the attempts made by one gall with the 50 reimbursement but after 4 failed reservations I’m not to confident to ever attempt after hour pickup ever again. I was served a 24 hour to vacate today that I didn’t see until 3 and they taped it to my door at 11 4 hours stolen and then 5 hours with you horribly flawed online system and I’m so frustrated I saw a notification to rate y’all and had to and I have not even complained about everything and I won’t but trust me there’s more. And I’m praying someone can help me at 7 for my 4 hours to vacate thanks for helping steel my storage unit I couldn’t get to to put a lock on when it’s empty I understand but maybe think about changing policy cause you gave away my storage unit that was to be mine until the 5th of august and now I have no where to put my things I don’t drive and haven’t had a ride and was just left a voice mail saying you gave it away and I overlooked it until now and I’m homeless in 7 hours give or take and you basically cost me everything I own to homeless scavengers that I’ll be living with now so I guess at least they will like your performance but help from others and found none and it’s really been eye opening thanks be to God for the adventure good night me your just on a list of disappointing events where I neededlaura c. | Overall Experience

When we were struggling to maneuver a couch, staff stated “I don’t know what to tell you” rather than giving any helpful tips/tricks to a first time mover. A lot of times when I would go to my shed the walkway on the side of the building used for transferring items from your vehicle to your shed it would be unshoveled and unsalted. Usually a little walkway shoveled along the building but then a snowbank so you cant even get the cart out. Not enough staff. Every time I needed assistance it was a VERY long wait at the counter because according to the multiple staff members I talked to there was only one person working. I placed a call to uhual and it went to someone with a southern accent that didn't even work at the actual store! I think the solution is to just hire more people to actually work on site. If you cant find enough people to work then continue to increase wages until you get more people to work ON LOCATION! Storage Door falling apart. Very hard to lock. MICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Huge problem a trap in the unit did nothing. That's why we moved out. We didn't want anymore mouse poop on our things or potential destruction of our property. I rented a drive up storage facility and when I got there to purchase my lock I was told that the storage unit i rented was not available, apparently it was double booked. So I had to get a smaller storage unit on the second floor. I was not happy since all of my stuff did not fit in the smaller storage unit. I was told I would get a partial refund for the mix up.
