When I say the equipment was clean, it was in good condition but hadn't been washed. The exterior was dirty and I took pictures to show that. That being said, I knew I had a 4 hour drive, through snow, to get to Roanoke so it really didn't matter to me. The employee that helped me did a good job.james S.

I had trouble with the online pick-up and website, for some reasons. (It wouldn't accept my password, or even the password it sent me.) but after speaking with an employee at the location, everything went super smooth. He was both attentive and polite. Dropping off was super easy and the guy who did the drop off was super polite and thorough. He went out of the way to explain the online system to me and will definitely use it next time. The employees here were outstanding and I'll definitely use this place again in the future. (Just wish it wasn't so confusing on website sign ins.)WILLIAM T.

I had a trailer hitch installed the day before picking up a 5X8 trailer. The installation cost $445 dollars. The trailer was fine, but while driving literally across the country I was called by uhaul saying a driver had reported that the turn signals I was using were opposite from the turns I was making. I then came to find out that the hitch had been installed wrong and I had to wait for a maintenance crew to come to my location to fix the problem. For $445 I would have thought that something as easy as that would have been done correctly and not cost me valuable time especially when I only have the trailer for X many days. This also created a dangerous situation that could have landed people in hospital. Sorry, not trying to be a Karen, people mess up, but really. For now much money this was it should be installed correctly and in shouldn't have had to wait extra hours waiting to have this fixedElijah G.
Service was very slow but I know that Covid has affected staffing. I've used this facility before and have found them to do an excellent job so I wasn't too upset by the delays this time. I tried to use the online check-in but was having difficulty with it as I am not used to using my phone for this process. I didn't find it to be very user friendly. Don't charge customers for dropping off trailers after hours if they forget to call it in. They charged me $21.40 for not calling in my trailer return which I returned ahead of schedule. This amount was more than the cost of the trailer rental ($16.95). This is not a good way to treat returning customers. I have asked them to waive the fee.Jonathan C.

I applaud the janitorial staff for taking measures to be inviting and safe during the pandemic. Another individual however, while inviting, was unmasked while approaching customers showing complete disregard to the pandemic. This reflects poorly on U-Haul's stance on COVID-19 precautions.Eric S.

I'm very frustrated with the $20 "convenience" charge.. I arrived 5min. Before closing and was told to just check out online and they're wouldn't be a charge. Well if your app or online services worked i would have been happy to. It wasn't my phone, because I tried my wife's also. I tried for 25mins, to get it to work... if your service doesn't work to intentionally over charge people, that's fraudulent and by the other complaints online I believe your doing that... I wonder how much revenue uhaul generates from this charge annually? I might have to check with the BBB about that...Brian W.

Everything about this facility worked for me, except the foul smell that remained consistent and that permeated our belongings. I placed a call expressing our concerns, along with the cause of the problem, but no one ever got back to me to talk more about it. I’ll consider other storage units in the future. I earned a month of free storage after spending over $2,000 on a truck and trailer reservation in November. I moved out a week before the end of the month but kept receiving invoices for balance due. Tried to contact the GM many times but never heard back. After the most recent email talking of collections and liens I called again and finally spoke to a service agent elsewhere. I used the mobile phone option to make it quicker and easier but there was nothing quick or easy about it. Very inefficient. Had to walk around the building to find the truck, walk back around the building to get the key. Had to wait for the employee to go behind the counter to get the key. Then had to walk back around the building to get the truck. Good thing I'm able-bodied! On return had to find an employee to hand her the key as there is no drop box as indicated on the mobile instructions. Very inefficient. But got the job done.Lisa C.

The ONLY comment I have is the storage room and the area of the building where the our space was SMELLED AWFUL! It has an odor like a rat smell. We were very happy we were getting our furniture out as I imagine if we were there longer we would not have been able to get the smell out. The few people working were stressed, cold & very irritated. I witnessed them being very short with every person in there, acting as if we were all a bother & inconvenience during their busy day. After waiting 20-30 minutes to be set up with my storage unit (My second time coming back bc I was told they were too busy to do it earlier in the day), when I explained what I was there for, the guy literally dropped his head in frustration & audibly sighed while shaking it back & forth.
