For some reason the tests you ran on my truck wiring said the wiring was not in working order. I rechecked it at home and it would have passed. The ground point you used was insulated by paint.

Three items: 1) The computer system at the facility seemed below par, and my application had to be entered twice and electronic payment took about three times. The customer next to me experienced the same problem. Just to rent a vehicle took about 20 minutes, and there was no one ahead of me. 2) The folks working there seem unhappy, and from my experience that usually stems from management. 3) When you bring back a vehicle, a person checks you in and then proceeds to clean the vehicle before checking the next person. There were three of us that arrived at the same time. By the time the last person was checked in completely, she had to wait about 20 minutes. To make a customer wait to check in, so a vehicle can be cleaned is out of order.

Online ordering and check in made the process a lot faster. location only has two registers and the line gets very long at times. I went there first and the line was so long that I tried the online process and was pleased.

Renting a tandem axle, open bed trailer was a real ordeal. First, the agent I talked to, Kristie, was totally inept at her job. I gave her my credit card info and confirmed with her that my help would be able to pick-up the trailer the very next morning Yet, when my help showed up to get the trailer, there was NO RECORD of my deposit or even that I had talked to Kristie the day before. To make matters much worse, the U-Haul location said they could NOT take my credit card as payment for the trailer. (This is ridiculous!!! I rent heavy equipment, at a cost of $300 to $400 a day, from ALL 3 rental companies in the Asheville area, with just my credit card over the phone. There has NEVER been a problem with my help picking up the equipment.) So, then the U-Haul location tells me that I have to call 1-800-get-Haul to pay for the trailer. This was completely wrong!!! The guy at 1-800-get-uhaul was useless!!!! He ALSO could NOT take my payment. He told me I had to get on-line with U-Haul.com and buy a gift certificate that I would then give to the U-Haul location. After about 20 minutes on the website searching for ANYTHING that referred to or mentioned a gift certificate, I gave up. The end result is that renting a $30 trailer for just one day was a HUGE hassle!!! I can NOT believe that U-Haul has made it so ridiculously difficult to do SIMPLE business with them. Having a small construction company, (I run two to three teams year-round), we are always needing to rent trailers. I would very much like to rent trailers from U-Haul but have decided NOT to because of the incredible hassle it takes just to rent a #$30 trailer for a day. U-Haul USED to be customer-friendly. Not any more. The protocol to rent a trailer is absolutely ridiculous!!! On top of that, the staff at the U-Haul location was totally indifferent to our frustration and angst. Sadly, this was also the case with the guy at 1-800-get-uhaul. NOT ONE single staff member gave us any attention or concern. Meanwhile, I have two employees that just sat at the U-Haul location for one entire hour (at $18 an hour, per employee.), while I desperately tried to pay $30 to rent a trailer for one day. It was a frustrating, time-sucking experience. The most amazing thing to me was the inability to get a straight answer from ANY of the U-Haul staff. The location staff was wrong about how to make a payment. The 1-800-get-uhaul staff guy was wrong about buying a gift certificate to pay for the trailer. (And what a ridiculous protocol just to rent a $30 a day trailer!!!) All in all, the entire experience really soured my staffs willingness to rent from U-Haul. The ENTIRE experience was EXTREMELY negative. And yet, we could NOT find a single U-Haul employee that cared in the least little bit that we felt jerked around by U-Hauls protocol.

No parking at location even for the one hour I needed the pickup truck. You have to park along side a busy road which is across the street. Seen a customer almost got hit after they waited long time to cross. I waited after I seen that.

The lady that helped me was not very friendly. Must not want to work there. Pickup truck was dirty on the out side and just ok on the inside. The smell of smoke was horrific. I am not a smoker and had to leave the windows down all the way. Thankfully it was not raining, but was only 55 degrees out.

This was a 1 way rental and the mileage they put on the contract was a little low. I was over mileage before I even arrived at my new location. But overall very nice place to work with.

Great experience with this local UHaul. However, the central phone contact was terrible. They told me we had the truck for 4 hours. When I called back to see how much it would be for extra time, they said if we needed it for an hour or two longer they wouldn't charge us. Eventually, they admitted that we had 24 hours, but they don't tell people that because they want the trucks returned earlier!!! Very bad customer experience with the central phone reservation reps!!!

The checking out process was seamless..... The gentleman that checked me in was, I guess, making corrections to my rental.....something about a round trip or a one way trip or in town rate, but he never explained to me what he was doing. The way he was talking to the other employee, it sounded like I was going to have to pay more than I already had. That turned out not to be the case, but I feel he should have explained what he was doing.

I stopped by in person the week before and reserved my truck for 7am 11/16. I also checked in the night before in the online check in. However, my truck was not ready for me until almost 8am. They asked for my CC info a second time even though I'd given them that in advance. The staff on duty didn't seem like they wanted to help accommodate the customer. It was blame the computer system and the customer rather than try to accomodate the customer.

Very slow. Also when I took truck back their system was slow and she stated she would email my receipt since I used less miles than originally estimated. I have never received one. I also put about 1/8 tank of gas more than what was in when I rented it (3/4 instead of 5/8). I asked if I received credit for the additional gas I put in and she laughed and said no. I guess that's one way U-Haul can rip you off. If I would have put in less gas they would have charged me more money. Other than the slow service; getting a receipt; and no credit for the extra gas I put in the location was okay.
