This was our first time using U-haul. We own rental properties and very often we rent a big truck to move our staging furniture, we usually use Budget because of the great prices and amazing customer service, but my husband wanted to try U-haul this time because it was closer. We used the online system and they couldn't even get the reservation information correct, which was time consuming. Then the initial price was very expensive to rent a 20' box truck (over $60 more than we pay with Budget). Finally they sent our final receipt today and charged us for fuel and fill up, when they told us we only had to fill it back up to the amount we received it on, and we filled it a little over that, so that is pretty fraudulent. We ended up paying $100 more for a 20' box truck than we would with Budget, and the process with uhaul from pickup to drop off was very disorganized. We definitely will continue using Budget from now on, even if it is a further drive.

Clean yes, Well maintained, questionable. Engine hesitated on idle, the rpm would drop for a moment and return to normal. Seemed fine under power. Bigger issue, box is not water tight. Items in attic on passenger side were soaked. While it did rain while driving, it wasn't typically hard, the rain overnight was much more of a downpour. So the leak may not be from above. With a visual inspection I was able to see any point the silicone bead was broken. Some of my boxes were soaked but managed not to break open. Will be inspecting contents for damage.

Truck wasn't available. Did get one but it wouldn't start. Even after they tried jumping it. Offered me a box truck. Didn't really want it but needed to take it. The cost ended up being more due to more cost for insurance. Plus we were going to take the truck and our car but with being a bit uncomfortable driving a box truck we rode together. Leaving new appartment keys in car. Now, double mileage due to having to return to get keys. Of course I had to pay for those miles also. U haul is usually good. Not this time. Will reconsider then next time.

FYI, my WiFi on my phone was not working in order to take a picture of my ID, maybe that could have been done while I reserved the truck. Everything thing went very smoothly.

The mobile app and pick up was a little confusing at first with all the steps upon arrival at the store but once I was helped by one of the employees from the lot it became easier

From the check out to the return everything was find except there was a mileage issue in returning the truck. I spoke with Cianna and she investigated the issue and took care of the problem. Thank you Cianna for staying on top of this problem until it was resolved.

When renting with a credit card or debit card ensure that the rest of the deposit is refunded in a timely manner instead of 3 days.

cashier paid no attention to my paid confirmation and went through the entire process again. failed to include the tow dolly and refunded and drafted from my debit card until my head spun. the equipment installed was not the same as equipment contracted (i learned when i returned it) and they failed to refigure mileage when they had to send me to a different location for pickup. also tow dolly driver's side tire tie down kept coming loose & truck interior was dirty.

UHaul overbooked due to their poor online system and my reservation was not honored when I arrived. Luckily, they ended up working with me to get me a truck but only after much frustration on both parties and excessive time spent at the store. Would recommend calling to confirm reservations days in advance or else go with someone else for your moving needs.

Only 1 person was working at opening with 7 customers in line. It took almost 1 HOUR to pick up my truck. In addition, the rental equipment I reserved was not available. The man working said that only trucks are guaranteed, not equipment, but that is not clear on the website. He did take the time to call around and find a furniture dolly at another location, but it was available almost 45 minutes away. Had I known it wasn't guaranteed, I would have made other arrangements and not requested it at all.

Though I see maintenance and pest control is something that is noted in the facility, I know my furniture would not be able to stay there long as roaches were climbing off of my rented storage door and walking with me while I was moving my thing into the storage space. Otherwise, customer service was nice. But like any storage facility whether climate controlled or outside, does not seems like a good option to keep/store your belongings.

The truck and location were top notch. I was disappointed my furniture pads and utility dolly were not in my truck as I had them on my order. My fault for not checking. UHaul normally does a great job making sure all the items that go with the truck are in it when you pick it up. Unfortunately, I didn't realize this until I got to my destination.

I have used Uhaul several times in the last 6 months. I get a uneven reception every time. Some times welcoming and sometimes icy. Everything else is fine.

I reserved a smaller truck at a different location to mobile check out, but there wasn't a key in either box. When I called for support, she was able to reserve me a truck at this location. When we arrived, there was 7 people in line ahead of us. Each of the two associates at the front was helping a customer. After finishing with a customer, one associate left the building. He returned about 30 minutes later. The other associate helped the customer he was with for 40 minutes. We waited in line total for an hour, and that's with two people ahead of us leaving before being assisted. On top of that, the associate who left and returned was wearing his mask down under his chin and a women employee was in and out preparing the trucks without a mask on at all. The female employee and the employee who was assisting a family for a long time were both very friendly. The employee who left for a while and wasn't wearing his mask appropriately also allowed a man to cut people in line behind us, which upset some people. The truck we were in was old; it didn't have cruise control and the gear shift would get stuck. The bed of the truck was covered in some sort of material that had a similar consistency to sawdust, but wasn't actually sawdust. I understand this truck was reserved on our behalf at the last minute and that the newer trucks were probably not available. It was uncomfortable to make the two hour drive without cruise control, but definitely not that big of a deal.

Customer service over charged me and I am still waiting on my money owed back, rude attitude towards me the customer, He the manager got mad at me when I pointed out his overcharge and he did not believe me, I was charged 30.00 for gas and the trip was down the street from where I moved from, my bill was charged 75.00 plus another 65.00 for a 15” truck gas was barely used. Records will show.

Please, next time we rent online and reserve an appliance dolly, actually have one when we get there!! Also, please make sure to tell people that to use Mobile Return after hours, they have to do it through the app. You can't do it outside of the app. It took us awhile before we figured that out because it says that NOWHERE that we could find.

The staff seemed annoyed with customers. The truck was in rough shape, and the location didn't have the dollies I had ordered for service. There were no directions given when I asked about afterhours drop off except, "Go to the website." When I did return the truck, there were so many other trucks blocking the return location, that I wasn't able to get the truck very close to the designated return spot.

The men who were there at the time wasted my time by telling me my reservation wasn’t there based off only my last name and didn’t look it up by phone number which my reservation was under. So I wasted time money and was charged to keep the truck all because of your lazy employees

We're supposed to have access to Inside Storage 24 hrs some occasions Im trying to get in & ALL doors were locked. One time Office was open, Worker outside & they made us wait to get inside access.
