I had a cargo van reserved but when I arrived to pick it up there was no equipment assigned to my order. After speaking to customer service I was able to get a 10’ truck which was more on the mileage charge then I needed and I also had not elected to take the safe move insurance. I was charged the higher mileage rate and the safe move rate when I got the paperwork this morning. I was told there would be compensation because of all the hassle.

Truck reeked of cigarettes. Had to drive with window open in 50 degree weather. Clerk apologized and claimed truck was from another location. Other than the cigarette smell, the experience was very positive. Clerk VERY professional and courteous.

Try apologizing first. Listen fully to a complaint. Upon return, verify. Whether they take at least 3 bucks off, it makes the customer feel like a real resolution was reached because of their real concern. MY COMPLAINT: The pick up truck bed was sticky and grass stuck to all of the sticky areas. Smelled like garbage was hauled in it. I had to get 7 tarps to lay on top of the flatbed to prevent that sticky nasty smelly stuff from getting on my mattress, box spring etc. I called u-haul right away to make a complaint. And was told they didn't know. I showed check in man and he said yeah we will get that cleaned out.

My experience was better than I thought it would be. Everyone I worked with was helpful and well informed when I had questions. I will definitely use Uhaul over anyone else next time I move, and will highly reccomend them.

The trailer had a small hole in the roof that I didn't notice until I got in home. No biggie I put some duct tape over it and it worked well.

The employee that was on staff. I believe his name was justin but I cant be sure. However I do know he was friendly amd helpful even though I was returning as he was closing the store. He stayed open to help me and my family and for that I am grateful.

When making reservations online, make sure what was reserved is actually available since confirmation was sent confirming reservation. Customer service was horrible. Possible training for all employees learning how to be professional on the job

The customer service lady was extremely rude and unprofessional. It was 20 minutes to close and she kept saying pick something right now because I am leaving right at 5pm. It was the worst customer service I have received in over 30 years. I do not know her name but her description was a black female.

Don't be rude and talk to employees while taking care of a customer. Don't second guess the customer they know where and how many miles they will go.

Specifically said I needed a one-way she wrote me a ticket for in town. Had reserved One way had to change the contract for a bigger trailer in doing so she wrote me an in-town. They then tried to charge me over $200 for a wrong destination fee. That is not happening .

When I returned the unit I filled it out fight before getting to the U-Haul location to return it and by the time that I got there it was just below the F. My biggest mistake was to leave the unit on a Sunday where there was no attendant and on Monday I get a bill for $20 which was for .6 mile overage which was .24 cents, $15 gas and taxes. They were telling me that I turned it in with 7/8 gas and not full. I asked them to send me a picture of the gas meter and it was not at 7/8, it was barely away from the F and it definitely would not justify $15 in gas. What I learn is that you really need to turn the unit in when there is an attendant that you can speak with to avoid them trying to take advantage of the situation. Which takes away from the whole convenience of dropping it off on your time. I feel like this is not an honest store to do business with.

We only ask for 10 miles. When we dropped off the truck they claimed we went 40 miles and try to keep 45$ of mine. The lady Eathel did a poor job.

You sent me to the wrong location twice. I spent 4 hours to finally rent a trailer. I was originally told that Uhual can not reserve trailer because Thursday is on a weekend, and uhaul won't let me use the online service, and that I need to go to a store personally, which was closed at 3 pm when I got there, even though the sign said they close at 5 pm. A very bad service experience.

Truck was not swept out prior to us using...i cleaned it thoroughly to get 25 back, but did not. Glass and straw from previous use in back. Had to pay additional 5 bucks for mileage- probably from going to gas station to gas it up. Expensive from indy to ft wayne, cheaper the othr way.
