From the first phone call full of lies from scheduling, to picking up the truck and not being told the proper amount I would have to put down, to the appalling service from the assistant manager, to being charged extra for things that we were told to us were to be covered it was the worst experience ever and has made us decided to never ever use Uhaul in the future.Holly G.

Rested a truck and two storage units. The truck was filthy, hair and food on the seats. The storage lockers were disgusting, one had water inside the unit and the door didn't close fully. They were filled with bugs and were not cleaned prior. My belongings were wet, including my leather sofa. Tried calling customer service and couldn't get through to anyone coded to go back into the location as I decided to remove my stuff. The customer service rep at the location was very friendly and helpful -Jayakrishnan. Otherwise I'll never use U-haul again.Stephanie S.
Taken for a ride by the agent. Couldn't return the vehicle after hours due to the driveway being completely blocked with trucks, meaning my personal vehicle was also blocked in. Returned it the next morning less than 24h after picking it up, agent charged me for a 2 day rental and 2 days of insurance. At the time of return I told the agent I had initially filled up the truck to the point it was at at pickup, but after driving across town and back on account of having to take the truck home for the night, I did not put more fuel in the truck. Agent said they would waive the fuel charge - they did not. Also having to return the next day added nearly $20 in distance fees to my charges. The only saving grace was the exceptional online chat CS agent that quickly rectified these issues. Don't leave the location after drop-off without seeing your full and final charges otherwise you will be taken to the cleaners. Also note prices online are in USD. In the end I still paid $170 plus gas for a single day in-town move.Hayley S.

No issues with the local operation. However I was very frustrated with the inability to speak with anyone by phone. I need to change the first truck I rented for a larger vehicle and called the number shown for the Queensway property. I was on hold for over an hour hearing the same message over and over about how a service rep would be available â€œshortlyâ€! I wound up driving to the property, got the exchange completed while I was still holding for an answer to my call. Based on that experience I will consider going to a competitor first next time I need a vehicle.ANDREWM S.
On line booking was done for fast pickup - barcode did not work and needed to stand in line, then repeat all my information with the clerk. Why bother setting up an account online and fill out all the info if it needs to be repeated again? Customer service is horrible. The way I was spoken to for bringing a trailer back 1 hour late was disgusting. The fact they had booked back to back with no time to clean the trailer or turn it over and then treat me the way I was treated. On top of it to charge me a $50 cleaning fee because I was 1 hour late. Then the lies telling me you never spoke to anyone didn't know you were going to be late to then you did speak to me at 4 when my phone record says 4:15 and then I said 10 mins late to okay you said half an hour.Carly G.

Distance charge estimate was provided at the very begining to be around $20. I drove the exact same milage i provided to get the estimate and for some reason i was charged $50. Biggest SCAM ever! Also, I couldn't park my car on site.Anthony K.

The southasia guy did not speak kind to the customer that was coming into the store. Instead of using his passive aggressive tone to tell the customer he's not allowed in the store. Your website is full of false information on prebooking puckup. No one answers the phone and the PRE-RECORDED message that says 10-15 min wait is a lie, the link to complete late return sent by text doesnt work because it goes to a completely unrelated menu. 1. I Reserved a furniture dolly on line but after the contract was done I was told they don't have any dolly, which meant I had to pay someone to help me move. When I objected, the sales rep was trying to sell me a dolly to, good for Uhaul bad for customer, and he finally said to contact the customer service. He had no care for the customer's concern, he was very unfriendly, and his excuse was that they have 500 reservations a day. Then maybe you should get 500 dollies. Half way through my contract and without excusing himself he gets up and goes to another terminal to discuss God knows what with his buddy in their language, as if I was not even there. And due to COVID I was the only customer in the store and the rest were waiting outside. The rep was more concerned about the closing time which was approaching than helping customers. 2. I Booked and was charged for 6 furniture pads, no one even bothered to give them to me, I thought they may be in the truck but if you saw any pads so did I. Went back to the office but they were already closed. 3. Finding the van in the large yard took a lot of time. 4. The van was parked between two trucks one in the front and one in the back with a little room to maneuver, I am a city bus driver and I had a hard time taking the van out. Over all a very bad experience, took a lot longer and cost a lot more than I had planned.Vahid R.

Only one person working behind counter which caused a long line up of customers. This in turn caused a long delay in exiting with the vehicle. The person doing the paperwork didn't speak english well and also didn't understand that the rental period should start when the customer is able to go to his rented vehicle, not when he's standing in line to be served.Thomas G.

Reserved two dollies, but when I got to the location only one was available. I was given a truck with 3/8 tank of gas, rather than a full tank - led to me spending more money than needed on gas upon return, so you're welcome. And the return process and online form were confusing - the form opens in Safari and even with location on, it couldn't find me (I was parked in the uhaul lot). Returning my cargo trailer was confusing. Since the location was closed I used the return my equipment online. I was asked to locate a bar code or something like that. It was like a scavenger hunt in the lot trying to find this code. Fortunately some other customers were there returning equipment and knew where to locate this code I had to scan. After trying to scan the code several times it refused to work. It was frustrating and seemed unnecessary for me to prove my presence by scanning this code since I took pictures of the trailer in your parking lot! Also, I allowed your online check in to access my location so why is scanning this code necessary? Other locations do not require bar code scanning. My appointment was for 8:30. I arrived at 8:20. I did not drive off the lot until 9:20. There was a long line when I arrived, which is understandable. However, when I finally got inside the clerk's were distracted and joking around - it was evident that this was causing the line to take longer than necessary. the workers are rude and not helpful at all. argued with me for 30 minutes before they finally gave me the truck I rented. they were just talking about me in their language while their co worker was helping me, who just got off lunch break n missed the whole argument. so I'm being helped by this nice guy who had no clue what was going on, he was clearly new as he needed some help. and the other co workers were just busy talking about me in their language not giving any crap that I'm there. acting like I can't tell they are talking about me because I can't understand them. them refusing me help me and only helped me after I dialed uhauls number to get the bottom of this situation. regardless fire them or reevaluate your employees at the least. worst experience I have ever had in a store. incredible to see workers abuse their power at work to anger someone on purpose. ridiculous. Was a long and painful experience filled with many sloppy mistakes by the employees. Wrong lock on the box. Wrong Keys in the box. Took me almost an hour and half to finally get on the road after I had booked everything ahead online. Online system is very glitchy and I had to redo many processes several times. The uhaul itself was fine but customer service is strongly lacking at this location. We were told the maximum capacity was 2 and to wait outside, but were late to picking up our rental because the individuals inside already were simply browsing boxes. But then once we entered, the people behind us also came in and no one stopped them like we were stopped. The customer service person was rude and kept telling me to sign the keypad even though I kept telling him nothing was showing up for me to sign. He just kept repeating himself over and over again even though you could clearly see on the keypad it said to wait for the associate.Ryan R.
Where do I begin... our truck was reserved at a different location near 1472 queensway - had to wait an hour for the employee to come - only came at 10 to tell me our truck hasn't been returned and he didn't have any more 20 foot trucks. He gave me a number to call which is a secret number to actually speak to someone 905 790 6916 - there they found another truck for at the 1472 location. This is day off move ... so nerves and stress is quite high At 1472 the wait was outside in the sun for over 30 min - not allowed to wait in ac inside because of covid restrictions Inside the team is so busy that they have become completely numb to client challenges and needs. The truck itself was difficult to drive We ended up returning the truck on time but being charged $175 instead of $121 No one in uhal has followed up with us! This location is terrible, they refused to let me drop off overnight even tho thats the way I had it booked. They refused to let me return to The Rexdale location which does allow overnight drop offs. So I found a safe place to store the trailer over night, re arranged my schedule so I had time to drop it off in the morning, There was no staff at the return bay and a line of 12 people out the door of the store waiting to rent vehicles. So I dropped the trailer off from the same spot I picked it up from and called them, I was left on hold for more than 2hrs while just trying to notify them of the returned trailer, after 2hrs of wasting my time I gave up in disappointment in the terrible service from this location. I fully expect that I will see a $20 overnight dropoff fee added to my final bill even tho I returned the trailer at 8:10am and I'll need to waste more time on the phone again I always avoid renting from this location, they used to be great but its just gotten worse and worse over the past 2-3 yearsSAMUELERNEST S.

It's nearly impossible to speak to someone on the phone unless you have extreme patience. 9 times out of 10, I was on hold so long that it transferred me to the U.S.A. My experience with the storage option at 1472 The Queensway was among the worst customer experiences I’ve ever had. I was offered a free first month as I usually am with my reservations, given the fact that I have a corporate account. When I took the offer the sales associate confirmed this with me at the time the first month would be free and proceeded to process the transaction. Only after I was all moved in called me to tell me that there had been a mistake. They subsequently threatened to “cut the lock if I did not return to the store and dispose of all my items.” They had called me after hours to tell me this! The store closed at 7:00pm on Wednesday and they called me at 7:45pm after I had already gotten to my house and returned the truck! Completely inappropriate on behalf of U-Haul especially consider I spend thousands of dollars every month renting equipment from this company and this exact location! They then proceeded to steal a total of $271.49 from me by charging my account without authorization! What kind of organization does that! Trying to get a hold of someone to close my contract was an awful process. The general manager did not respond to any of my emails and I could not get through by phone. Uhaul should not have an online move out portal if I you’re just going to make customers go in to the facility in person.
