I recently rented a 6x12 enclosed U-Haul trailer from the Eustis location, and the entire experience was smooth and hassle-free. The staff was friendly, professional, and made sure I had everything I needed before hitting the road. The trailer itself was clean, well-maintained, and felt really secure for hauling our items during a move. I appreciated how quick the check-in and check-out process was, and they even gave me a few helpful tips on loading and securing my cargo. Everything towed perfectly—no issues at all—and I felt confident with it the entire drive. Highly recommend this location if you’re in the area and need a reliable rental. Great service and solid equipment!

I was unable to move driver's seat or the driver's wheel. I had to get help. I also was unable to move the side mirrors so that I could see properly.

The motorcycle trailer has a large vibration as you pull it. The tire pressure was good, but maybe the wheel bearing are shot? A mechanic needs to take a look at it. It vibrates so much the tow vehicle wiggles. This occurs both in loaded and unloaded conditions.

I originally reserved from Limit Ave, Mount Dora location, however, I received a call that that location is no longer operating. I had to switch locations to one several miles further away. Low tire pressure notice when I turned on the truck, I spoke with the employee who said it was a know problem and they had ordered something but it was ok to drive. Fuel level recorded in contract was almost 1/4 tank more than the actual amount.

Due to the improper connection of the trailer—a 2-inch ball with a 1-inch drop instead of a 1-inch uplift—the trailer leaned forward excessively. This resulted in significant strain on the driver, who endured this challenging condition for over 900 miles.

I was very pleased with this location however this was not the location I was supposed to pick up. I reserved 2 weeks in advance and went to the location of the reservation (1504 Limit Ave, Mt Dora, FL) at 10 am and nobody was there. I had to pay 2 men $25 each per hour who sat at my house until I returned with a truck at 12:30pm (2 hrs later). I sat on the phone with U-Haul for for 58 min & 39 seconds to locate another truck after driving to 2 other locations. The representative Shunda was very helpful and had empathy for all the trouble I had to go through. I was out of pocket $100 for men I had to pay for sitting at my house & 2 hours in down time because the location I was supposed to pick up from was closed. I will say Amy at this location was very courteous and apologized for all the problems I went through that morning and got me on my way very quickly and efficiently.

I was charged nearly $300 for a few hours, then i was charged a fee for not using the app to return the vehicle but the app didn’t work and tech support offered no solution that worked and your telephone agent refused to check me back in. I will NEVER use U-Haul again. Penske would’ve been a much less expensive option whom i will use from now on and refer all my customers to use them.

I used the truck share option so I could pick up the truck at 6 AM before the store opened at 7 AM. I booked it nearly a week in advance, but when I arrived and opened the app, my reservation showed no equipment assigned, instructing me to call a support number. I called and spoke to a man who pulled up my reservation but then put me on hold. After several minutes, the call disconnected. I called back, and a woman reviewed my account before informing me that no keys were available until the store opened at 7 AM, so I had to wait. Once I finally got the truck, the move went smoothly. We only drove 7 miles and had it for about three hours. After returning it, I received my receipt and noticed they refunded me for the 3 miles I didn’t use and applied a $10 "Customer Service Refund"—likely due to the reservation issue. However, they also charged me for 3 gallons of gas. Given how little we drove and that we didn’t leave the truck idling, this charge didn’t make sense. A gallon, maybe—but 3? That basically canceled out the refund. Pretty frustrating.

I was charged for an extra day because the guy doing the checkout told me my gas levels were fine then he asked me to wait inside then he took care of somebody else instead of me then he came back inside and said I needed to go get gas. I have been on the property since 3 o’clock and this was after five so he charged me an extra day. I have reached out to customer service and hope that they would refund my money.

I filed two complaints in Sept. Both regarding all the leaves, debris and dirt....resulting in a hefty dry cleaner bill for my winter sweaters....no one even called me?? Today, 11/4/23 I came to collect my stored items and close the acct. For unit #529 and I was horrified at what I mice/rats had invaded and chewed, peed and pooped on so many of my things I NEED A CALL FROM CORP--ASAP!!

Have had a storage unit for over 8 years for over 6 months you have to call 30 to 40 times to try to pay your bill and I would be most happy to give you copies of my phone bill then you have the balls to charge a late fee if not payed on time if you don't answer there it go to main office that a Bigger joke after your on hold on any emotion you try even the brake down line 35 to 40 min of waiting on hold it hangs up I don't pay any of my 30 other bills on line but I was forced to 2 times with you to avoid late fees I even tex the Manger over 2 weeks ago about this no response but she has time after you don't answer your phones for day to send a email your bill is do.i took my stuff and found a new place to store it .Peter L Pappas 352-613-5346

Kassie went above & beyond with my truck rental and later with a storage rental. I was under duress with this move, trying to care for my son, who has Stage 4 Lung Cancer and the fact that I had 6 broken ribs due to a car accident. At one point she was actually there to help me get out of the truck! She is truly a great asset to U-Haul, I hope she is receiving the pay she deserves.

Staff was great! Tried their best to help. However , not being able to access facility easily while moving is was a hassle. The gate would not open with code or remote. Staff stated that outage occurred in system causing issue with many tenants. This has caused my move more time and inconvenience than necessary. Again i want to note that the staff went above and beyond to try to assist, but it was just wildly inconvenient when dealing with move and trying to access unit.

The ceiling of my 10x10 unit was covered with rest and old paint , or something. Another customer backed into the door if my unit which left a huge dent and difficult for me to open the roll up door. When the door was hit, the impact knocked a HUGE amount of the ceiling debris down onto all my belongings. A HUGE MESS. Also, I moved out of Florida last September (2022). I gave 95% of my belongings away before I left. A couch, loveseat and king mattress were left- I called 3 companies to donate them to...Goodwill, Habitat for Humanity and Salvation Army. NONE of them would take them because they weren't in perfect condition! I had no truck to remove the stuff. My ex tried to turn in the keys & key fob but Manager wouldn't accept it. Instead of throwing away the stuff and charge me $300-$500, they simply kept charging me.....they want roughly $1500. now. Unbelievable.

We have had several large units in this facility and have always made repairs and upgrades at our cost. We appreciate getting the unit because of the high demand. This by far was my best moving experience of all times. The movers were great, friendly and fast. My stuff was handled with h care. They placed each item in my storage nice and neatly. My only complaint is that I had 3 dead cockroaches in my new unit, a dead centipede, and other bugs, put for the most part the storage was cool and spacious. I’m a happy customer

The people were polite and helpful, however, the place was dirty and rundown. Also, we had to pay $25 cleaning fee when we closed out our storage unit, even though we worked hard to make it clean before we left it. Was told that that is just the way it is. They always charge the $25 cleaning fee, no matter if it needs cleaning or not. I will never use U-Haul, again.

Storage unit was a disgrace, My boxes became filled with cockroaches, which I did not find out about till moving the boxes in the back of the unit that had been there for 4+ years. My movers refused to move four of them because of the roaches. Much debris and leaves fell from the top of the unit, causing 1/4" of debris and leaves accumulating on top of the boxes. There was also signs of water damage to some of the boxes. No attempt was ever made in 4+ years to gain access to the storage unit to preform any kind of bug spray inside the unit. I would have expected better from U-Haul, considering the unit rent paid over four years. Would not use this location again. Mark Van Saun

Staff was very helpful when my lock froze up and I couldn't unlock it and finally had to cut it off but was able to purchase a replacement lock onsite. My unit was broken into. I was notified by your staff to come check my unit and when I did I realized immediately that someone has been in my unit. I called the police as directed. Then your employee has the nerve to question me as to how someone got into my locker. I’m very dissatisfied with U Hauls inability to keep my belongings safe. On top of that the insurance company acts like they don’t want to cover my losses.

The manager Kassie as well as Damon are a please to deal with. Very helpful and nice. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Restrooms are always clean which is much appreciated. I've not only rented stoarge but trucks and trailers as well. I will be back again.

I did not give a rating because I am very mad. You sure know how to hurt a person. No pro-rating no refund and had paid the next month a few days before. I was told that is in the contract. Rip off.

Our only disappointment is that roaches and/or mice got in to some of our boxes and defecated on some of our stuff and ruined it. Otherwise, an ok experience.
