I rented a truck for 2 hours at $19.95 and ended up paying $70 in additional fees. Totally ridiculous..I'll never rent again!! Also I put gas in too..so tack on another $10. In the end it was not worth the money I spent! The girl working there was very nice though.Heather J.

They let a truck with rotted brakes leave the lot. It wasn't until we were in route that the warning light was beeping saying there was a break issue. Uhaul service repair came to the vehicle to inspect and said the breaks were rotted and there was break fluid everywhere. My husband could have been seriously injured or worse had his breaks failed while driving on the highway in a 26ft truck. The manager at the Fall River uhaul is refusing to refund. Highly disappointed that your company and staff doesn't value patient safety. We couldn't sleep we were so scared.Gabrielle M.
When I picked up the vehicle! The person behind the counter which was a femal! Was very helpful! But when I returned the vehicle! The young African American boy was very rude! On his phone when I walked in! I was having a problem loading the u haul info! And he stated that if I could not check out on my phone that I would be charged 20 dollars if he had to do his job! I was charged 15$ for gas I already replaced but because I didn't answer a text the girl at the register wouldn't give me a refund I explained I was having trouble with the site and she stood firm no refund I showed her the picture I took of the gas before I left she still refused to give me a refund and was quite rude about it I understand added fees but I do not understand paying $4.05 a gallon for gas that I had already replace it I will not be returning if this is the continued standard some understanding should've been shared I also explained to her that there was trouble getting onto the site to try to reserve a van I ended up calling the number in the city and not the one 800 number she still was relentless needless to say without resolution I am Dissatisfied and disappointed in your companyREX C.

I was told by your UHaul rep, at this location, that we must provide a copy of our license via some form of phone or computer delivery to the store. I did not have that capability. I seem to recall that the web site I stated that the Uhaul office would do that here if I had no way to do it on my end. I was also told that I needed to take pictures of my rental before and after the rental of the equipment. How does one do this if I have no camera? Why make it as difficult as you can or your customers? K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Stupid) should be the motto. Not everybody has a cell phone or and Ipad to do this. Some of us old timers are into that new age stuff. Revise your system to make it easier not harder to rent from you.John C.

I opted for remote pick up for the 15' truck I reserved. My time was set for 7:00 am. I followed all of the directions but, still had to call in because my reference-call people were standing by waiting to clear me and U-Haul wasn't calling them. Finally, after I physically called in, one of them was called to vouch for me...just one of the two. It was close to a 30 minute process to remotely check-in and get moving off the lot, which I didn't anticipate. The â€œcheck engineâ€ light was on and the truck only had about a quarter of a tank of gas. Now, my first stop had to be the gas station, which I also didn't anticipate having to do, time-wise. About an hour later than anticipated, we finally were starting our very long day of moving. I drove 70 miles, total, that whole day, returning the truck with exactly the same amount of gas (if not a little more than) it had when I picked it up. I pulled in, to the return equipment area, and waited in the truck, as instructed by the signage outside. Nobody came out of the building, after about 15 minutes, so I went inside. The clerk was busy speaking to a FedEx worker. He acknowledged me though, to ask if I was returning the truck. I told him I was. He told me I could just leave the keys in the truck and go. Nobody ever physically checked the truck with me or anything like that. I was charged 2 separate fees; $98.07 and $97.15. This doesn't make sense, as my contract was for $29.95 for a 15' truck, $14 for Safe Move, $5 for Safe Trip, and $70 for .99/mile, totaling $118.95. I looked at my receipt and saw that I had been charged for furniture pad rental and utility dolly rental, both of which I didn't use, 2 fuel fees; $30 and $28, and $111.27 instead of $29.95 for the 15' truck. I reached out to the branch, explained all of this, and was given a $10 â€œrefund receiptâ€ in my email (but don't see it reflected in my account) for the furniture pad and dolly rental fees only. I was told in a voicemail that I returned the truck with less than a quarter of a tank, which absolutely wasn't true, and that's why I was charged the 2 fuel fees. The other fees weren't explained or addressed. I am hoping U-Haul will please truly refund more than $10 of the $76 over charges.Lori M.

Not only did you customer service team hang up on me, they have also charged me for charges that I will be disputing with my credit card company. Truck has maintenance sing on could barley drive kept almost turning off while driving and was very stressful transporting furniture thinking im going to break down luckily the new apartment was a few streets away from my old one. Two locations in Fall River. The one above did not have the trailer. I had driven two hours to retrieve this trailer. Went to second location in the hope that it was at the second location. The kid that was working when I returned the van never wore a mask when he was in contact with me, the other associates did ALL of them and it was like he was bored or I woke him up. It took too long to check out, the gentleman could not figure out how to charge my debit card. Then when I returned the truck that also was a struggle. I had a print out of my receipt and now I have an additional charge that I did not authorize. I've called several time waiting to speak with Brittany who's yet to return my call. I reserved a 20' truck and received a 15' truck. The entire process was not seamless. A supervisor should be present to assist, or at least give them training.JAYMI R.

Place was in disarray. Huge signs tell you to wait with your drop off but nobody came. I went inside and the girl acted like I knew I was required to check on truck online. The man that worked at this location was rude. We did not pick a drop off location due to the reason we were not sure where we were dropping off the truck. We were told to call when we were done to state the drop off location. He told us we could not drop it back off at the same location because we had a one way truck which was not true and was extremely rude about it. I called back spoke to a woman she told me it was all set to be dropped off at this location. My boyfriend went to drop the truck off at the fall river location and the man was there and gave him a huge problem because he did not check that our contract was updated in the system and told us â€œdon't be surprised if we charge you extraâ€. Once my boyfriend told me this, I called spoke to a woman telling her this information and she told me that it was correct for us to drop the truck off in this location and that he probably didn't check the computer. Overall, the truck was great, but the employees at this location are rude and need to find a new line of work!!Darren B.

when dropping off truck one employee Brittany was extremely rude. Didn't want to be bothered with helping my sick mother checking in truck. Then I was charged 25.00 cleaning fee when my mother and her son completely swept out truck and vaccummed front area. all of a sudden and cleaning fee tacked on after a complaint was made about Brittany's attitude.Very unprofessional move as i see it.audrey W.
When I walked into the location it took 5 minutes to find someone that worked there because no one was in the store. He informed me that I had to self checkout on the mobile app. I tried to do the mobile app but after having to upload 2 photos of the cleanliness of the vehicle - 3 seperate times the app didn't work. I went back inside and the attendant finally said he would take care of it. Why not just take care of it from the start instead of having to do a rediculous process on an app? movings hard...don't make technology make it more frustrating.max K.

I had reserved a truck in a location close to me. Instead of it saying the truck was unavailable at the location, it gave me various options that I was later told were all not available. The first call to change my pickup location happened a few days after my reservation. I said ok and figured what can i do. But then, the day before my move, I get another call to change my pickup location Again. So I mentioned to the uhaul representative on the phone that I did not want to pay for the extra miles that They are creating for me in changing my location twice. I was told that I would recieve a credit. I received an email with this information also. Uhaul pickup went fine. Drop off later, the employee was extremely rude. I was also being charged for the extra miles and she said she didn't know how to do anything with the credit for them. There was one employee at this busy location with no manager and no knowledge of many operations. It was very busy and she kept calling in for help. Not blaming her, she needed management.
