When I called in I was told that the truck needed to be back by 6:00pm and when I went to get the truck I was told it needed to be back by 1:30pm. It put me in a bind and I didn't like that fact that I was told 6:00pm and that was not correct!

We were displeased with the attitude of Tammy who called to inform us that the trailer we reserved and expected to pick up (literally) 2 blocks away would have to be picked up by us over an hour away. The call was the day before our expected pickup date. You can imagine the stress and frantic schedule problems this causes. Tammy's attitude and customer service skills seriously need to change. She compounded unexpected stress exponentially!

The parking lot/area is very small and is a bit of a mess. When I came to drop the trailer off, I barely had space to pull in because of all the equipment blocking the return area.

Return clerk was a bit rude. Stated I was being charged for not having enough gas until I showed him the paperwork. Once I showed him the paperwork, I stated I hope my credit card wasn't being charged for the gas, not being rude just stating it, because I didn't have it in my account. He then says I told you I didn't. Then asked another customer a question and walked away. I had to ask if I was okay to leave.

I original placed the pick up at Uhaul on Veterans Blvd. The service was inadequate and people were incompetent. The pick up was transferred to Uhaul on Main Ave -excellent service and very professional!!!!!

The truck was rented for in town use. As such it usually would have a lot of miles on it. The truck I rented had worn steering parts: There was about a 20-30 degree movement of the steering wheel before it would change direction, so it would wander a bit on the highway. It should be redlined until that is repaired.

Your facility rented us a trailer that weighed more than our vehicle was rated to tow. You completely disregarded our safety. We ended up having to stop at a separate uhaul location in saint cloud and spend the night to wait for them to open. The manager of that location said that if we had rented from him to begin with he would not have let us drive off the lot with the trailer you gave us! He informed us that the trailer EMPTY weighed more than our vehicle is rated to tow. We spent most of one of out precious moving days unloading all of our stuff and reloading it into a 10 foot truck to be able to make the drive safe. We were not refunded our money for the trailer you rented us that was UNSAFE and had to spend a long amount of time on the phone just to get the wrong destination fees waived. You made our move a nightmare. I would never recommend this location to anyone.

My experience with uhaul was terrible. It was horrible. I have never seen such poor customer service. How do you guys stay in business?? I was overcharged for the rental and inconvenienced for 4 hours of my time because I had to wait for a tow and that is just the start. I'm not going to waste my time discussing everything. This was not my first choice for pick-up location. My first choice was to do the after hours pickup at a closed location. But my reservation was not processed completely for that location. Thankfully, I called on Friday and Uhaul customer service and this location was able to get me a truck.

I contracted with the Fargo main ave store. The day before my hookup, I was contacted by a gal from west fargo, to pick my trailer up there. I wasn't crazy about picking it up at a store I wasn't familiar with, but when I found out they didn't open early (I had a 7 am pickup scheduled), the gal told me she would see what she could do. I got a text later that day saying the transaction would happen as originally scheduled. My thanks to her, for changing the pickup back to the original time and place. I'm good, and I've had good experiences with U-Haul.

I asked to rent the equipment with a drop off date 6/19/17, the drop off date was set for 6/23/17. Upon arrival to destination when i asked if i get a refund for days not used i was told no its based off the average persons trip from point A to point B. So I paid for 2 days i did not have or need the equipment for because other people take longer than I did. Further more the maintenance of the equipment was very bad. All of the lugnuts on the trailer were loose. Two tires the lugnuts were so loose we could of easily lost a tire on the road. In addition the nut holding the ratchet for the tire strap was about to fall off. Had I not done my own maintenance to your equipment I could have been stranded on the side of the road somewhere or had my vehicle roll off the trailer.

I called to reserve this truck about a month out from when I needed it. First I called the osgood location in Fargo and I got sent to a call center because no one answered the phone at that location. I wanted the osgood location because I was moving from and to locations within a mile of the osgood uhaul. I told the lady twice on the phone that is the location I needed and she reassured I would pick up and drop off at that same osgood location. Fast forward a month to yesterday at 7am and I get to the location in osgood and my truck was not there. The guy at the facility had absolutely no idea what customer service was and even offered someone else's reservation that was moving out of state and was paying $300 for that reservation but I would have to pay the out of town price of $300 something dollars too. Pretty shady to me since they wouldn't be able to have a moving truck and that I would literally only put 8 miles on the truck. After calling corporate they found out they made my reservation at the main avenue location 10 miles away (add more mileage charges and a waste of my and the people helping me move time. The people at the main Ave location at least knew what they were doing and had good customer service. Not at all impressed with uhaul especially how I confirmed twice the location and pick up with the individual at the call center or wherever the osgood stores missed phone calls go. I'm even more disappointed in the shotty service at the osgood uhaul. It is so poorly ran that it may be better to waste two more hours of my time to drive to the main Ave location or better yet not use uhaul my next move even though I can see the facility from my back yard. The only reason I filled this out with positive reviews is because it asked about the main Ave location. It is unlikely I will get any response from this but I hope they read this and realize just how disappointed in uhaul I am.

The trucks we rented were fine, and the staff was helpful and pleasant, flexible since we wanted the truck a day earlier than our original reservation. However, the storage we rented had a broken door frame that was not 100% secure. That was the only way our experience could have been improved.

I am very pleased with this location. I am not pleased with the over U-Haul process of being able to reserve a U-Haul trailer when its just my chance if you are lucky and one comes in before you needed. I called corp U-Haul and they stated that there is no guaranty. Why tell the customer they can reserve it then? Lots of planning goes into a move to get it done on the day that works for everyone. The U-Haul locations are great but the corp office needs some work.

The appliance dolly I had requested was on the contract but was no loaded into the vehicle. I called in and they made a note that I had not received it so they could take it off my bill. I was also not informed how long it would take for the hold to come off my debit card as we paid cash when we returned it and they told me that the amount that was pending had been removed but when I went to rent a carpet cleaner later that day my card was declined because half the money in my account was "not available". Other than that everything else was fine, its just very stressful to try and deal with issues while moving.

There was only 1 person working when i picked up so took a little while to recieve. The truck wasnt swept out before i got it. And when i arrived at drop off before close they claimed to be closed. I have always used the services while moving very convenient and affirdable for the most part just thought id give some room for improvement!

Was glad that I was allowed to drop off after hours, but the drop off lot/line at this location fill up really fast so I would not have known how to proceed if I were unable to get in to or park the truck at that location. Also, did not know about the self-return protocols requiring a smart phone and documentation. It makes sense, but I am happy everything worked out as expected without that step.

U-Haul had transmission problems call the location of pick up and refused to do anything until he returned it so he returned it to alternate location closest to us due to transmission problems rather than bashing your head on the steering wheel every time the damn truck jerked maybe consider maintenance in your trucks before you rent them

The staff were great - even offering help to get my drivers license back to me when I left it at the office. The only complaint I had was that the rubber floor mat on the cargo van smelled bad. The van was clean and looked practically new so it was all great! Glad I rented it. It was perfect.

I made a reservation several weeks prior to pickup to ensure smooth pickup. Received the call a few days prior to pickup and assumed everything was good to go. When we arrived, the person behind the counter said he needed to find padded blankets because they didn't have enough (I requested 48 for the rental). There was no walk around, contract explanation, etc. When I noticed the 2-wheeler I requested was not on the truck, I asked about it and was informed they were out. I followed up by asking if I was charged for it and his answer was literally, "Probably". There was no "here' what we can do to fix it" or anything. I had to tell him to call another store to see if they had one and when he came back out (I have my doubts as to weather he even called), he said he would give me an appliance dolly instead. When you're moving 100+ boxes and 0 appliances, the appliance dolly is NOT what you want. I would recommend everyone try to rent from another U-Haul location in Fargo and avoid this one.

I reserved a 17 foot U-Haul truck this week with a dozen furniture pads, two hand dollies, a mattress pad, and flatscreen tv box. Nothing was ready. Nothing was in the truck. I got 6 furniture pads and 1 hand dolly. I had 4 guys hauling a household of boxes approximately 50 yards and 3 of them were only able to carry one or two things at a time instead of 4-5. Thats why I ordered 2 dollies. Don't get me wrong, your staff was very polite and very friendly. But I ordered the stuff I needed, I don't need them telling me "you don't need that many". I even told the guy "it's only $7.00" "yeah but it will just sit there" Probably doubled the length of the move. Furniture pads, not a big deal. But I was very annoyed every time as I was walking across the parking lot, had to swing around the garage, and backtrack half the length of the building across the lawn just to get to my apartment patio door with 1 box in hand. Huge waste of time. I would have rather given you my money.

The U-Haul website needs to be better synchronized with the stores. The website showed availability of furniture dollies, but this location doesn't have those available to rent. Other than that the service was excellent, the equipment was clean, & in fine working order. Another point regarding the website, I was not able to finalize my reservation right away l due to the website would not allow me to enter my vehicle's information because it was a '99. In summary, the location & service was excellent; but the website leaves much to be desired concerning accuracy as noted above.

This location saved U-Haul from losing a customer. After a HORRIBLE experience at another U-Haul location in town, I almost gave up. I went and talked to Julian at the Main Ave. location and it took 15 minutes for him to have a trailer hooked up to my truck. It took over 2 hours at the other location with a lot of broken promises, so I just walked out. Be advised that what you reserve and are promised at U-Haul.com IS NOT delivered at all locations. The insurance was different, the price was different, it was terrible. Thanks again to Julian because if not for him, I'd be renting somewhere else. And I will NOT be using U-Haul.com anymore due to this experience.

It was hard to get in the parking lot, confusing as there is only 1 entrance. The manager bait-n-switched me on my unit. No customer service skills. I was locked in and the maintenance worker saw me but walked the other direction. When I yelled for him to come help, he relunctantly did but threw his arms up at me like he really didn't want to help me. When I spoke to the manager after I got out about my card not working, he gave me excuses and reprogrammed it handed it back to me with an unpleased look on his face and said, "is there something else?". I said, umm no and left. There were no apologies nothing. I was very baffled.

Overall it was a really good experience. The only reason I didn't rate it as excellent was for the long check out time, I even pre registered online. I was the only one in the store and it was 20-25 minutes. The equipment was excellent and the drop off was excellent. Friendly staff!

It will be great if U-Haul can have a manager that knows how to work with everybody at this location, and the manager that is not showing his anger at customers and not rushing customers when the customer is checking the vehicle to make Sure it’s in the condition that has been stated on the documents. I arrived at the location after booking my truck eight days in advance to find out I had no truck. The location at 5523 53rd Ave. S in Fargo was the worst experiences imaginable. The customer service was the worst I have ever been a part of. They basically said I was screwed. After two hours and five phone calls and driving from one location to the next I ended up at the Main Ave. location. Received a smaller truck then I ordered and had to make an extra trip. Very dissatisfied all around, and I am going to recommend to all my friends and family to just go with a different company that cares about there customers. Moving is stressful enough. The poor rating doesn't even deserve it's one star.

i was scheduled to rent trailer for 1-day starting at 5pm I called and asked if I could pick up early at 3:30, lady told me no problem. when I picked up and 3:30 Julian told me that I need to have back at 3:00 pm next day instead of 5pm or he would charge me for another FULL day - THAT UPSET ME. He told me nothing he could do. that is not how upper midwesterners treat customers I wouldn't have minded pay a few dollars for the extra couple hours but to pay for a full day based on the ok to pick up early is a ridicoulus policy I will go down the street next time where the treat people right and reasonable

There was a lot of dirt and grass and small garbage in the back of the truck. The tank was 3/8 full when I got It. They said it was 1/2 full. I left an extra 1/4 tank but wasn't compensated. I would have been charged the other way around.

Had a 3 day 5 x 8 trailer rentalike - Was told at time of ck out that if returned the day before that I would be credited a full day if returned prior to ck out time or prorated an amount for that time (but only if returned the day before scheduled date). In order to save some money we hastily unloaded the 2nd rental day and returned the trailer at 4:15 (expecting about a half a days discount towards the 3rd day). Upon returning the trailer the day before scheduled date the person charged me for the full 3 days - when I explained what I was told he stated didn't know anything about this and that I owed the full 3 days even though i was told differently (incorrectly given info at time of ck out) and it was at the U-haul store the day before and available for next mornings rental. Almost felt like I was given this information incorrectly at time of ck out so that I would return it early - pay for next day - then u-haul store could rent it on my 3rd day essentially double dipping on renting charges

You should include a jack stand with all trailer rentals in case the customer has an issue with vehicle pulling it , they can remove it and service the vehicle. Once the trailer is loaded it is almost impossible to disconnect it without a jack or stand. Also Everytime I rent I do a pre check in online but when I arrive they have to enter the information again..very time consuming and costly on your part..

I reserved my uhaul on-line so I wasn't aware when I arrived with cash that I had to have at least $100 to rent it. The morning was pretty hectic, and my card was not working(bank issue) and the man working was more than helpful to make sure we got the uhaul and had plenty of time to use it. Was a good experience over all. But it really depends on who you get to help you out. One guy doesn't know what the F... he is doing and the next one comes up to you and is utter brilliant on his manor/time/and experience. If the experienced guy wasn't there to help me. They would have been totally screwed. Just make sure you find the right guy to help you out. Don't worry about extra charges, they are okay will allowing a small amount of deb re on the floor, without sweeping.

I think it's complete bullshit to charge $7.50 for gas when the goddamn needle barely moved while.I used one of your pickups. Also the staff has the enthusiasm of a dead man and the definition of polite and courteous would be helpful. Used this place before and it's always the same...no rush to wait on customers and always seem to.get hit for added charges at the end when there shouldn't be any. If I'd have had a truck I would've never use U HAUL now or at any other point. Kick those guys in the ass over there or shut it down!

Better training of your personnel. The tech who hooked up my trailer was nice and cordial but didn't secure the trailer and it ended up almost causing an accident when it disengaged from my hitch. After I got the trailer under control and stopped, I discovered that the screw to secure it was barely tightened. I received damage to my car and could have easily caused a multi car accident.

I am very dissappointed in reservation process. The trailer was reserved in system for the wrong day. I did not receive a confirmation call with pickup information. When I called to find this information, I was told they didn't know why, but had heard same complaint, maybe the volume of rentals were too high to get to everyone. What kind of representation of your company is that?! The representative also did not mention anything about pick up day for following day when I called. We were not given drop off location as well. I'm grateful that the pickup location was able to accommodate our need for the trailer on the day we needed...and had requested!! All in all, I would be very hesitant to use uhaul in future.

I was informed 48 hours before I was to pick the trailer up that it would not be available in Grand Forks and I would need to obtain it in Fargo. I had reserved this equipment over three weeks in advance.

I ordered my pick up online the evening before and was told that I would be contacted. Nobody called me until 11:55am the day of pickup, and I was at work so I missed the call. It was from a man at the location where apparently I was supposed to pick up, and the message was regarding the size of the trailer and to tell me that a queen size bed would not fit in the trailer I ordered. I don't need to move a queen size bed, and the call had nothing to do with setting up time or location. 20 minutes later when I was able to take a break (again, I was at work) I called back and got the call center, where a woman named "Lee" or "Leigh" informed me that I was late for a supposed noon pick-up. I told her that no one had called me to schedule a pick up time / location and that I needed to get the trailer after work. She was rude and had a horrible attitude. Worst customer service I have EVER encountered. I asked to speak to her manager, she put me on hold for about 5 minutes and then the call disconnected. I don't know if it was intentional on her part or not. I called back, got someone else on the phone, and scheduled. Then the same man called me from the location again to tell me a queen bed wouldn't fit in the trailer. He asked me when I wanted to pick up, and I explained that I had already set up a time with the phone call I made prior. What a mess! I ended up making it to the location and got the trailer fine. The location itself was ok - downtown Fargo. But good grief what a joke! The call center is awful. Good luck to those of you waiting for a call. I'd make the call yourselves and if you get Lee or Leigh or however you spell her name, I'd just hang up and call back.

Your staff at this location is not friendly or inviting. They just stood there and looked at me while I was standing there and I had to ask him if he could help me as I was there to get a trailer. Not customer friendly at all... I purchased boxes from West Fargo location and was told I could return them at the 52nd Ave location and of course, I paid double first of all and than went to 52nd location to make my return of boxes and was told I could return them but i would not get all what I paid for them. When I went to pick up trailer on 52nd Ave where I requested to pick trailer up, they sent me to Main Ave instead, I wasted hours screwing around getting a trailer and returning un used boxes. Just not a good experience at all. For paying 516.00 for a trailer and accessories, you would think service would be even satisfactory. I can't say this. If I had an alternative, I would choose elsewhere. I restrain myself from making comments about my experience between Main Ave and 52nd Ave locations on social media but I won't. You asked me for my experience and I am just being honest! The trailer itself worked out well! I can say this.

The customer rep that checked me seemed a little lazy or unprofessional. It took between 8 to 10 minutes to get in and out, and I had already pre-checked in online. I inquired about a packing product online that I had ordered with my van and he just said it wasn't on this order. I had to prompt him again once I was checked in to see if he wanted me to pull up my order confirmation. He said no, just to take it and he would bill it out. After, he finished my check in by telling me my van was "The closest one to the street". I accidentally entered a wrong van, before hitting the auto door beepers and realized it was across the lot. The drop-off process was much better in comparison and a different rep walked out to meet me at the van. It took less than 5 minutes to finish up my order and finalize my transaction. The van itself was great to drive, however there was a couple of mosquitos squished on the inner windshield when I received it. I will definitely use U Haul again, however if I have a choice I would a different rental outlet.

I had my truck for 48 hours. Picked up just after 7am Friday, meant to return Sunday. My local store didn't open until 9am sunday; so I was there at 9am with my truck. They then tried to charge me an extra day for my rental, after waiting half an hour to get to me. Would not recommend this location to anyone.

My truck had terribly dirty windshield, sunflower seeds all over. Then the previous person had dented the rim which gave ME a flat tire! Waited 3.5 hrs on the side of the road before being repaired. As I drove down the road I noticed my truck was so out of wacky it was actually riding down the road sideways. In fact I drove down the road and my rear end was so misaligned a tow truck driver had me pull over and said you are not safe at all driving this and followed me to turn it in. In fact turned it in early just to not deal with it anymore. Then I called in to report it and I got told just tell the location when you get to your destination! I got such the run around and I feel bad for who is ever driving that truck right now. My voice was never heard! I seriously am trying to save a life by telling this to you all. I hope someone reads this and takes the truck out of commission. Thank you for the worst experience by a rental truck company. Wow... unreal and sad.

My reservation that I made on April 7th, over 4 months in advance. I had reserved a 26 foot truck from the 27th until the 30th. I got my confirmation call the following day saying everything was good. Then about 2 weeks before I was going to pick up the truck I got a call saying that I was only allowed to rent the truck for 24 hours and that I would have to take a smaller truck because all of the other reservations were made before mine. I ended up getting a 20 foot truck I believe on the 28th and worked until 5 am without finishing my move. Luckily when I returned the truck at 7 am I found out that there was a truck available on the 30th after 5pm so I did get that truck to finish my move. I don't have a problem with the rule about only renting for 24 hours but what I had a problem with is that when my confirmation call the day after my reservation was made stated that everything was good, that should mean everything is good. With 4 months advance notice I don't believe for one minute that every 26 foot truck was reserved before me either, I feel that was a flat out lie. That larger truck would have allowed me to finish my move within the 24 hour period and I would have avoided paying for the additional truck rental. I have used Uhaul at least 4 times in the last 18 months and I have never had a problem but I am absolutely furious now. I feel I should be reimbursed for the second truck rental since it was caused by the scheduling problem on your end. I believe I spoke to a Cindy in regional scheduling, she is a real bitch and needs to be fired. She was unwilling to work with me in anyway and flat out lied to me several times.

where I returned my truck was not the same location as the storage room. The storage facility was no far but there is no signage anywhere that says it is connected with U-Haul.

Our uboxes arrived 5 days late and put us in an end of the month window that delayed the ability to receive our goods by another week. Communication was extremely poor and all initiated by me.

Linda went above beyond what I would expect as a customer! She was wonderful to work with was extremely helpful! The box was way too tiny full of blankets for covering furniture.
