This location contacted us right away so that we could come back and get the weedeater, signs, etc., from the back and load into my car. I had difficulty loading my car and the staff there helped! I thought I would be paying the $20 for the rental. I have used U-Haul multiple times but this will be my last as I got charged $60. This is not including the gas I had to put in it as well. I am very unimpressed.

I had to wait 25 minutes to pick up the van. This was not the fault of the single CSR available, who was hustling to assist the two clients ahead of me. He had to run the ENTIRE operation, the front desk, and even run back and forth to get customers their vehicles (I think he was checking gas guages). Where was the rest of the staff? Oh, and I had some the online check-in, which did expedite check-out. My point is, next time I will have to think harder about using U-haul - my time is valuable, and I may just have to borrow a covered trailer from a friend instead of U-haul.

I had a previous order,# 96944911,that order was messed up,truck i reserved never showed up,a back up truck never showed up,which forced me to drive 120 miles round trip to pick uo a truck at this location,i was given a equipment discount from this location,upon using a furniture cart provided in the truck,the wheel was damaged,and fell off,fortunatly i was able to control the peice of furniture,and kept it from falling off the ramp,the last few rentals i have had with u haul have turned out very poorly,and i will have to use your company again in the near future,against my better judgement,i hope next time i have better luck,i am very discouraged in how this company does business,and the level of care or concern shown by its employees for inconveniencing its customers is unsatisfactory,i hope in the future i find a reputable dealer that can provide better reliable service!

The Truck I rented seemed to have a lean to the right once the truck was loaded. It was very noticeable. You may want to check on the suspension on that side. Otherwise the truck ran well.

The trailer was rusted and the ramp piece to get furniture on, wouldn't come unlocked for a good 5 minutes after messing with it. (If your lucky). And to top it off paying $20 plus over the set price I was supposed to get after reserving it for the lock in price....never again will I EVER use uhaul!

The two guys in there did great! Very helpful, and easy to deal with. Overall one of the better customer service experiences I have had. Maybe the smartphone check in app could use some tweaking. Tried that first and it didn't work out for me.

When dropping off the truck the rude gentleman behind the counter wanted to charge me another $ 75.00 for mileage. The contract was written up wrong when we picked up the truck and my card had already been charged so they said they would fix it whenever dropped it off. Got nothing but attitude and and frustration.

As for clean, I would say somewhat, but I was more concern that the manager was going to send me on my way with a largish dent on what was described as a new truck. I don't care about the age of the truck, but I would expect some sort of walk around. Someone new to the process may have been held responsible` for that dent. This is after waiting patiently for over an hour.

Disappointed that for us to drop off the U haul in a different location cost us more than a round trip of the U haul. I thought the objective of using a U haul was for moving to a new location... why would I drive the U haul back to a location I am moving from. Very disappointed it the pricing!!!!

I had made a reservation and when I arrived the whole process was quick and easy. The truck was clean, topped-off, and good tires. I had read the U-Haul manual and packed as instructed and tied-down items. I would move using a U-Haul truck again if I need to move again. I also felt comfortable knowing the back side of the truck was reflective and outlined the whole back-end of the truck. I went from Fargo, ND to Washington, PA (1200 miles) and was very comfortable in the U-Haul 10 Foot truck.

The trailer was extremely loud when empty. We stopped to check it because we were concerned there was a connection problem. Everything was hooked up right, it just sounded like it was going to come crashing through the back of our vehicle.

The truck was great...the customer service was also great...i only have 1 complaint...i was quoted a total price over the phone including fees and taxes which i thought was high...but had no choice...i needed the truck and when i picked it up it was an additional $20.52.....but i paid it...and it was my understanding that i could drop it off anytime on Monday....we had some troubles with my load so i wasnt able to return it until after close....i made sure it was clean and went through the carwash and then i see today i was charged another additional $55.08....i needed the truck but i didnt feel it was right to charge the extra $75.60....im by myself and live paycheck to paycheck...that was really a chunk of change for me that i didnt have...i think i should receive that extra back in a refund...at least the $55.08.... Let me be clear this gripe is not about this location. This is about the location that I originally booked at. Some guy from the south uhaul in fargo called and asked how long I needed the dolly for. I said 4 days like I had reserved. He went on and on about how I could have 6 hours only because other people needed it. Then when I told him I had a reservation for 4 days he hung up on me. So i went back online and modified my reservation to change locations and it all went well from there.

We waited - only customers in line - for 40 minutes to get truck. Both employees watched a computer screen for that time continuously typing and clicking the mouse. Only when I told them we had a deadline did it get done. One employee was obviously intoxicated - maybe from night before. Had trouble walking, reading, understanding. Told truck was at another location but I made the reservation on-line and SPECIFIED this location. Finally after complaining they had a truck. Never been treated that poorly as a customer and to ensure I am not ever again I will not repeat using UHaul. Millions of dollars of inventory and no way to rent it in a timely manner - not quite the successful business model. I doubt you will read this or pay any attention if Fargo is an example of your business acumen.

The car dolly I got had a bad light connector or was it was grounding out. Tech thought it was my vehicle wire loom but the trailer light flickered on and off as it hit bumps on the road. Might want to repair it.

I'm never renting movers again from Uhaul the movers messed up the pain in hallways dented the hallways up. They were very lazy and unprofessional not to mention they where late.

I wasn't too happy when I dropped off the trailer there was a note on the door saying they had lost power and were closed. So I called the uhaul numbet and they said I could just leave the trailer and it would get taken care of. So in the rain I unhooked the trailer and left it whete it needed only to see an employee answer the door when someone else pulled up. Awful customer service as they did nothing when I came to the door nor did they come out and help pretty disappointing effort on the employee that I saw.

The truck I scheduled was for up to four hours. I didn't anticipate needing it that long, so I put that I anticipated 2. When I picked it up, they indicated an after-hours drop box for easy return. The return was NOT easy. It took me so long to complete their process that I went over the two hours. Even though the rental price was set for up to four hours, they charged me double for going over two (it was less than three). When I emailed them to ask about this, I received no response. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND SERVICE!!!!!!!

I rented a truck just this past Saturday after working a ten hour day. Only needed it for two hours to pick up and drop off my large furniture. Made a reservation and pick up of said truck at six in the evening went fine. Parked my car in the lot (no sign saying I couldn't park there) and proceeded to go about moving. Was unloading at my new apartment when I checked my phone at eight o'clock and there was a missed call and a voicemail telling me I needed to move my car because they had to park their trucks there in the morning or it would be towed. Immediately tried calling but of course the location closed at seven so unloaded everything out of the truck and drove back there ASAP only to find they had towed my vehicle already, even though mind you it stated right in my contract that I would only have the vehicle between six and nine forty-five. I was actually only gone two hours! Made phone call after phone call trying to find out where my car was and while the customer service reps I spoke to were very kind and sympathetic no one was able to tell me where my car was! Had to come back the next morning only to find out that on top of all my other moving expenses I had a three hundred dollar tow fee I am supposed to pay! No resolution to the problem because it was Sunday and no MOD there to resolve the situation! Not to mention got there yesterday morning and not a single truck that was supposedly going to be parked where I was had been moved! So stranded with no car and my final cleaning at the apartment had to be postponed when I specifically took these days off of work to finish all these things! I personally have worked customer service for twenty five years and would never have some this to someone who is already dealing with the stress of moving. Worst customer related decision I've seen in years and I've seen a fair share... Will never rent from this place again!

When I called in I was told that the truck needed to be back by 6:00pm and when I went to get the truck I was told it needed to be back by 1:30pm. It put me in a bind and I didn't like that fact that I was told 6:00pm and that was not correct!

We were displeased with the attitude of Tammy who called to inform us that the trailer we reserved and expected to pick up (literally) 2 blocks away would have to be picked up by us over an hour away. The call was the day before our expected pickup date. You can imagine the stress and frantic schedule problems this causes. Tammy's attitude and customer service skills seriously need to change. She compounded unexpected stress exponentially!

Return clerk was a bit rude. Stated I was being charged for not having enough gas until I showed him the paperwork. Once I showed him the paperwork, I stated I hope my credit card wasn't being charged for the gas, not being rude just stating it, because I didn't have it in my account. He then says I told you I didn't. Then asked another customer a question and walked away. I had to ask if I was okay to leave.

The truck was rented for in town use. As such it usually would have a lot of miles on it. The truck I rented had worn steering parts: There was about a 20-30 degree movement of the steering wheel before it would change direction, so it would wander a bit on the highway. It should be redlined until that is repaired.

Your facility rented us a trailer that weighed more than our vehicle was rated to tow. You completely disregarded our safety. We ended up having to stop at a separate uhaul location in saint cloud and spend the night to wait for them to open. The manager of that location said that if we had rented from him to begin with he would not have let us drive off the lot with the trailer you gave us! He informed us that the trailer EMPTY weighed more than our vehicle is rated to tow. We spent most of one of out precious moving days unloading all of our stuff and reloading it into a 10 foot truck to be able to make the drive safe. We were not refunded our money for the trailer you rented us that was UNSAFE and had to spend a long amount of time on the phone just to get the wrong destination fees waived. You made our move a nightmare. I would never recommend this location to anyone.

My experience with uhaul was terrible. It was horrible. I have never seen such poor customer service. How do you guys stay in business?? I was overcharged for the rental and inconvenienced for 4 hours of my time because I had to wait for a tow and that is just the start. I'm not going to waste my time discussing everything. I contracted with the Fargo main ave store. The day before my hookup, I was contacted by a gal from west fargo, to pick my trailer up there. I wasn't crazy about picking it up at a store I wasn't familiar with, but when I found out they didn't open early (I had a 7 am pickup scheduled), the gal told me she would see what she could do. I got a text later that day saying the transaction would happen as originally scheduled. My thanks to her, for changing the pickup back to the original time and place. I'm good, and I've had good experiences with U-Haul.

I asked to rent the equipment with a drop off date 6/19/17, the drop off date was set for 6/23/17. Upon arrival to destination when i asked if i get a refund for days not used i was told no its based off the average persons trip from point A to point B. So I paid for 2 days i did not have or need the equipment for because other people take longer than I did. Further more the maintenance of the equipment was very bad. All of the lugnuts on the trailer were loose. Two tires the lugnuts were so loose we could of easily lost a tire on the road. In addition the nut holding the ratchet for the tire strap was about to fall off. Had I not done my own maintenance to your equipment I could have been stranded on the side of the road somewhere or had my vehicle roll off the trailer.

I called to reserve this truck about a month out from when I needed it. First I called the osgood location in Fargo and I got sent to a call center because no one answered the phone at that location. I wanted the osgood location because I was moving from and to locations within a mile of the osgood uhaul. I told the lady twice on the phone that is the location I needed and she reassured I would pick up and drop off at that same osgood location. Fast forward a month to yesterday at 7am and I get to the location in osgood and my truck was not there. The guy at the facility had absolutely no idea what customer service was and even offered someone else's reservation that was moving out of state and was paying $300 for that reservation but I would have to pay the out of town price of $300 something dollars too. Pretty shady to me since they wouldn't be able to have a moving truck and that I would literally only put 8 miles on the truck. After calling corporate they found out they made my reservation at the main avenue location 10 miles away (add more mileage charges and a waste of my and the people helping me move time. The people at the main Ave location at least knew what they were doing and had good customer service. Not at all impressed with uhaul especially how I confirmed twice the location and pick up with the individual at the call center or wherever the osgood stores missed phone calls go. I'm even more disappointed in the shotty service at the osgood uhaul. It is so poorly ran that it may be better to waste two more hours of my time to drive to the main Ave location or better yet not use uhaul my next move even though I can see the facility from my back yard. The only reason I filled this out with positive reviews is because it asked about the main Ave location. It is unlikely I will get any response from this but I hope they read this and realize just how disappointed in uhaul I am.

I am very pleased with this location. I am not pleased with the over U-Haul process of being able to reserve a U-Haul trailer when its just my chance if you are lucky and one comes in before you needed. I called corp U-Haul and they stated that there is no guaranty. Why tell the customer they can reserve it then? Lots of planning goes into a move to get it done on the day that works for everyone. The U-Haul locations are great but the corp office needs some work.

The appliance dolly I had requested was on the contract but was no loaded into the vehicle. I called in and they made a note that I had not received it so they could take it off my bill. I was also not informed how long it would take for the hold to come off my debit card as we paid cash when we returned it and they told me that the amount that was pending had been removed but when I went to rent a carpet cleaner later that day my card was declined because half the money in my account was "not available". Other than that everything else was fine, its just very stressful to try and deal with issues while moving.

I made a reservation several weeks prior to pickup to ensure smooth pickup. Received the call a few days prior to pickup and assumed everything was good to go. When we arrived, the person behind the counter said he needed to find padded blankets because they didn't have enough (I requested 48 for the rental). There was no walk around, contract explanation, etc. When I noticed the 2-wheeler I requested was not on the truck, I asked about it and was informed they were out. I followed up by asking if I was charged for it and his answer was literally, "Probably". There was no "here' what we can do to fix it" or anything. I had to tell him to call another store to see if they had one and when he came back out (I have my doubts as to weather he even called), he said he would give me an appliance dolly instead. When you're moving 100+ boxes and 0 appliances, the appliance dolly is NOT what you want. I would recommend everyone try to rent from another U-Haul location in Fargo and avoid this one.

I reserved a 17 foot U-Haul truck this week with a dozen furniture pads, two hand dollies, a mattress pad, and flatscreen tv box. Nothing was ready. Nothing was in the truck. I got 6 furniture pads and 1 hand dolly. I had 4 guys hauling a household of boxes approximately 50 yards and 3 of them were only able to carry one or two things at a time instead of 4-5. Thats why I ordered 2 dollies. Don't get me wrong, your staff was very polite and very friendly. But I ordered the stuff I needed, I don't need them telling me "you don't need that many". I even told the guy "it's only $7.00" "yeah but it will just sit there" Probably doubled the length of the move. Furniture pads, not a big deal. But I was very annoyed every time as I was walking across the parking lot, had to swing around the garage, and backtrack half the length of the building across the lawn just to get to my apartment patio door with 1 box in hand. Huge waste of time. I would have rather given you my money.

The U-Haul website needs to be better synchronized with the stores. The website showed availability of furniture dollies, but this location doesn't have those available to rent. Other than that the service was excellent, the equipment was clean, & in fine working order. Another point regarding the website, I was not able to finalize my reservation right away l due to the website would not allow me to enter my vehicle's information because it was a '99. In summary, the location & service was excellent; but the website leaves much to be desired concerning accuracy as noted above.

This location saved U-Haul from losing a customer. After a HORRIBLE experience at another U-Haul location in town, I almost gave up. I went and talked to Julian at the Main Ave. location and it took 15 minutes for him to have a trailer hooked up to my truck. It took over 2 hours at the other location with a lot of broken promises, so I just walked out. Be advised that what you reserve and are promised at U-Haul.com IS NOT delivered at all locations. The insurance was different, the price was different, it was terrible. Thanks again to Julian because if not for him, I'd be renting somewhere else. And I will NOT be using U-Haul.com anymore due to this experience.

It was hard to get in the parking lot, confusing as there is only 1 entrance. The manager bait-n-switched me on my unit. No customer service skills. I was locked in and the maintenance worker saw me but walked the other direction. When I yelled for him to come help, he relunctantly did but threw his arms up at me like he really didn't want to help me. When I spoke to the manager after I got out about my card not working, he gave me excuses and reprogrammed it handed it back to me with an unpleased look on his face and said, "is there something else?". I said, umm no and left. There were no apologies nothing. I was very baffled.

Overall it was a really good experience. The only reason I didn't rate it as excellent was for the long check out time, I even pre registered online. I was the only one in the store and it was 20-25 minutes. The equipment was excellent and the drop off was excellent. Friendly staff!

It will be great if U-Haul can have a manager that knows how to work with everybody at this location, and the manager that is not showing his anger at customers and not rushing customers when the customer is checking the vehicle to make Sure it’s in the condition that has been stated on the documents. Those are the reason I will not recommend a friend to this location and I will not return to rent at this location myself again.

I arrived at the location after booking my truck eight days in advance to find out I had no truck. The location at 5523 53rd Ave. S in Fargo was the worst experiences imaginable. The customer service was the worst I have ever been a part of. They basically said I was screwed. After two hours and five phone calls and driving from one location to the next I ended up at the Main Ave. location. Received a smaller truck then I ordered and had to make an extra trip. Very dissatisfied all around, and I am going to recommend to all my friends and family to just go with a different company that cares about there customers. Moving is stressful enough. The poor rating doesn't even deserve it's one star.
