The staff look very tired ir in a hurry to go somewhere. None of them showed motivation or willingness to assist .

I had reservations to pick up a truck in a Different location the customer service scheduling team called me at the time of my reservations and told me they did not have a truck available for me and sent me to the Federal Way location to pick up a smaller truck the customer service experience that I received from the scheduling reservations was very very very poor
Firstly one of the only reasons I used U-Haul was for in addition a furniture dolly which I was told was not there due to so many reservations?Why make one then or at least let me know.Was offered to purchase one...really!!!Then I filled your tank when I didn't have to and in no way was compensated...disappointing
I reserved a 26 foot truck. When starting the truck, I quickly realized there exhaust was missing. I returned to the counter and the gentleman told me it was ok to drive and in fact I would get better gas mileage. It was obvious to me that he was aware of the catalytic converter being stolen and still tried to rent the truck to me. I have worked in law enforcement for 24 years and it is illegal and dangerous to drive a vehicle in this condition in Washington state. They told me only a 15 footer was available so I called the 1-800 number who placed me in contact with a local manager who was able to secure a 20 foot truck for me. This worked, but increased my mileage since I had to make an additional trip. Today I discovered that the rental charges on my receipt read $150.23 and the credit card payment was $266.87. Why are the charges $116 more? I would expect a company like U-Haul would be more professional than this.
Bad experience due to having to go to different location then the equipment they had didn't work and have to get uncovered trailer instead. Very frustrating.
Wasn't clean but fit my purpose and they were really busy. The staff was awesome and really helpful!

Make good on the promises and reservation. The absolute worst experience I have every had with Uhaul. I have moved over 25 times in life and this was the worst experience ever.

I am very upset. I was under the impression that my move-out date was the end of the month just like when you rent other spaces. I expected that the fee I just paid in advance for the next month would be prorated back in a credit...so that I would only have paid for 3 days of the month. It's totally WRONG for Uhaul to keep more than $100 for days that are unused. When I tried to talk to the staff about it they said it's just Uhaul policy not to rebate pre-paid fees. I have been a loyal, never-late paying customer for more than 5 years. To be treated unfairly at the end is horrible customer relations.
send me with light wires that aren't broken at the harness the gentleman whom connected my trailer said “ oh you're just not gonna have bright lightsâ€when we were testing it here departing. also make sure the tabs are up to date I got pulled over in Oregon by a state trooper and he said I would be receiving a sitation in the mail.

They rented me a truck that wouldn't start.then switched trucks for that one to not be working properly as well do then switched again to finally be in my way. Its clear they aren't being serviced. Halfway through my trip from Washington State to Colorado there was a service light that came on. They charged me more than quoted, trucks were dirty and not cleaned.just alot of issues. Unfortunately because this is UHAUL" people will continue to go here because the moving demand is so high. I wouldn't recommend though.
The truck was dirty inside and smelled of cigarettes so bad with ashes all over the dash

when I rented the truck, they knew I was traveling a long distance. It only had a little over half a tank in it

Overall my experience was not good. I reserved a vehicle online and 30min before pickup I was told my vehicle was leased to someone else. I then went from paying $80 for the rental to paying $150. I was beyond frustrated and the woman on the phone was not very friendly. I then had to go out of my way to an entirely new facility rather than the original one I had planned mt day around.
Provide brochure for customers suggesting how to be like UHAUL personnel. Our country needs help now.
The only thing was yr return process, was lengthy. After you done with a move yr very tired, the app, return was externally frustrating. My cell didnt have location turned on which is a privacy option so to go thought my seeting layers a night was redictulous, Iam not technically illiterate plus I was with my 87yr old Dad 45min late I took the pictures need than called customers service : on hold for 15min plus ... I'm semi retire- traced the world with my career.....suggestion Simplify yr checkout- return procedures!
Drop-off was easy and staff were great!
Service was excellent.
Cab of the vehicle was filled with the smell of smoke. Clearly hadn't been cleaned properly. Back of the truck smelled terribly of manure and hay. It had been cleaned and didn't show anything but the smell permeated everything. The truck was also left at less than 1/4 tank. I drove for 28 miles before realizing the tank was all the way to empty because there was such little amount of fuel.
Floor and ramp was so sleepery. It looks oil was dumped by accident and was not cleaned well. It was dangerous during load and unload.
No complaints whatsoever.

I rent from here 4x in the past month and it has been flawless every time. There is an appropriate number of staff, and they are helpful.
All your employees are so kind and fast move.
Maybe have the trucks parked further apart from each other. I could barely walk around the truck to even get into it

I really like the convenience of being able to have something to get my job done quickly. U-HAUL has made many improvements over the years. Seems every time I go back the process is easier than before.
The cargo van I rented had an issue with the gas tank fuel door / fill up pipe. It would not take fuel without leaking and I had to drive to multiple gas stations, drive extra miles, put in extra fuel, and waste 30 mins of my time. Upon explaining this to a manager, he did nothing but bill me full rate although I asked for a comp adjustment.
Give clearer instructions on where van is located in the parking lot.
Rented trailers here many times. Never let me down. The employees will show you everything you need to know about the equipment. First time renting a box truck. Was very clean inside and out. Everything worked perfectly. Employees at front counter were very helpful with any questions I had. Very friendly and professional

Security issue: Middle age female on side walk outside the main doors to storage, walked in through the open main entrance doors when others came and went. She was nervously looking around, so I continued to watch her from outside our rental truck. She lifted up one torche' lamp and started to walk away with it. She saw me watching and motioned, "oh, is this yours?". She put it down, came outside and said, "oh, I thought these were free." If I hadn't been standing outside watching her, lamps would have been stolen. I did report it to the office.
Michael was really sweet but there was another assistant manager working that night who was extremely rude and unprofessional.. I understand that you guys have other bookings but he literally yelled at me when I asked to extend my truck for a couple of hours. I called back and spoke to Michael who was sweet and provided me with options.. My issue is not that he told me I could extend the truck, it was how he spoke to me over the phone.. He was extremely rude, yelled at me and spoke to me in a very belittling way as if I was a child not an adult.. I don't appreciate it at all! I would not recommend this location unless they worked on hiring managers who were more professional.. Again Michael was absolutely respectful. I called and was told that there were two different Michael's so don't really know which one it was!
U-Box delivery driver, Cindy, is the best.
That truck was the worst vehicle ive ever driven. I cant believe you let people drive those. Youre a multimillion dollar company and youre constantly trying to revove all of your dead trucks. BUY NEW TRUCKS!! They arent even safe to drive!!! Im vehemently disappointed with my experience hede and will never recommend this location.
As always, 5 stars to this Federal Way location. Great job guys.

The customer service was not good and needed a lot of work. I wish the employees would have explained to me that I would have to return my truck online. I waited in the designated area for someone to come process my drop off before they closed, and an employee walked right by me several times and talked to someone else. I waited so long that it passed the time of closing. At that point all the employees left, even though some of them saw me waiting to be helped before closing time.
Very helpful and straight forward.
My access card didn’t work and the next day I had to get another one and it didn’t work either. All the staff could say is wait 5-10 then try it.
It was a long way down the hall to the unit.
The card check in and out reader can be a little frustrating sometimes because it can take numerous swipes to get it to read the card. Other than that my experience was as shown above was excellent.
i am unable to verify my storage unit details online after setting up my account. it appears the staff may have signed me up for two units after i viewed one and decided it was too small and asked to rent a larger unit instead, not in addition. There were also problems with the key card for access which the staff was unable to fix. The site is fine but the delivery of service is lacking.
The storage unit i was assigned was in the very back of the building and a huge walk from the offload. I am disabled and before I even opened the locker, I went back into the store part, explained my situation and asked for.something close to the door. He gave me two smaller units that he said were close, but they were just as far. Half way down and then all the way over to the end of the building. Also I tried opening my locker and the alarm went off every time so I couldn't open it. I had no way to physically get my stuff in there. I gave up and went to a different self storage company down the street and cancelled uhaul storage.
Please note: I'm not moving-out my storage unit at this time.
I Loved my overall experience with Uhal-storage, the only problem that I had is the lien fee which is put on your account and can't be reversed. Because the large storage is not covered under the move-in-special, I had to get two small units so I could use the move-in special. this means when my hours where cut I did not have to come up with one fee of $108. but two. I know that everyone as well as business are suffering during this time, but you asked so I thought I would share, and if you would like to bless me with a refund of the $216. I will receive it (smile). Again I love your hours of entry they are perfect and the cleanliness of your storages are amazing. Thank you and I would use your services again but my prayers are that I never have to experience homelessness ever again in life.... maybe the experience will be just to store a overflow of items.. My concern is pest invasion. My belongings were stored for three years and didn't have carpet beetles when first stored. Upon removing my belongings, carpet beetles were discovered in the unit. Also, there was some kind of construction that caused dirt (soil) to fall into the unit, which had to be cleaned off of some belongings. A recycle bin for boxes would be appreciated.

We emptied the unit the day before the next payment was due and asked the staff what we needed to do to check out. They claimed all we needed to do was leave the door open on the empty unit and our contract would be cancelled. We have not received multiple notices of past due amounts and threats to lien the unit, which is empty for failure to pay. Phone calls and emails to U-haul explaining the problem and saying they would fix it have not worked as of yet.
Michael was really great, after a very negative experience at the Auburn facility we were so happy to end on such a positive note. Check in was a breeze, loading the storage unit, with the help of the dollies easier than we would have thought and return of the rental van was efficient. Thank you for a no hassle experience.
Initially renting the unit took longer than it should have. I spent more than a half hour, when I was the only person there. I had no issues while my stuff was in storage. When I removed all of my items, I was moved out without my knowledge when I still had 10 days left of my paid rental. It is a little nice that I didn't have to return to move out, but I was not notified about it. So I still returned and was confused when my card didn't work. I got this move out survey about my "recent patronage" but no email, text, or voicemail about having been moved out. I was told they called, but I've never had a business not leave a voicemail when the phone isn't answered. The survey email didn't say it was about moving out, so I didn't know until I clicked the link for the survey. If I had wanted to use the last 10 days of my storage, that right was taken away from me without my consent, and it's unacceptable.

worst experience ever had to call the police 3 times let someone else unload my truck and keep all my stuff after I was told they would lock it up so I could come back later to un load came back 3 hrs later to 3 men unloading my stuff was told by the man at desk that it was a civil suit that I would have to handle on my own would never again use uhaul again are recommended to anyone

The staff here are wonderful as they work in a really tough community with lots of unusual foot traffic. They handle it with grace and unbelievable multitasking skills.
The staff here are so wonderful. I moved here from Florida. I was tired, over whelmed feeling. They took their time with me and helped me get settled. I hope everyone in Washington is this nice.
staff never calls you when you leave urgent messages. I accidentally left a headboard. couldnt get ahold of anyone to secure it for me while i drove 3hrs. was gone when i arrived. Answer your phone!

Already wrote a comment. Harry and Michael at the front desk were very professional and helpful. The facility was extraordinarily clean and the rest of the staff was very helpful as well.
The place is disgusting trash everywhere. My wife had multiple homeless approach her while I was in the storage area. She did not feel safe by herself.
Overall a good experience. Staff is super helpful. Hours of access only 7am -7pm 5pm on the weekend turned me away several times in one year of storage. No issues whatsoever other than that.

The rep was very helpful and provided great customer service. But he was in a rush entering in my rental info... he had to re enter it 3x because he kept messing up or clicking out of the tab.
I suppose uhaul, like all other corps hires from the applicants available, and thus advantaged or disadvantaged accordingly. However the mgr/amgr @ federal way fac should be reviewed by corporate.

You haul up the prices twice in 6 months. You are asking too much for storage. Went with a cheaper That offered more services and a cheaper price.

Wait times are very long. Response times to inquiries are very long. Unaware of changes to appt confit until arrival. Confirmation of received boxes took too long.

My only complaint is the hours of access. I often needed to get in to my unit between 8-10 pm but it was already closed....
Went above and beyond what was expected
Nice unit but moving stuff in and out was difficult bc of staff parking their cars in the loading spots all the time. Expect a long line inside too, facility is very short staffed.
That's the shity storage I don't recommend to no one management suck childish no customer service at all the put 4,5 kids there the don't know what z going on

I gave 3 stars because I paid for the whole month and I moved my stuff out 2 weeks after I paid for the month and wasn't pro rated. Other storage units I used did that. My review wont matter anyways.

The overall rating of the actual store was average. Nothing out of the ordinary - what you would expect out of a moving & storage facility.
Everyone there were very helpful and polite. They made my move super easy.
Close by to my home and there is a place to put your items that are no longer needed so that someone else could use them.
They pulled my U-Boxes to a side loading area where I was able to unload them into a U-Haul Truck and take it home. I was able to return the truck the same day, which was nice. Thanks

Poor customer service. Staff expected me to go to the front to get the keys to unlock my new storage vs walking me and showing me where my new storage was.

Assistant manager is a cocky little punk. I would never store my items here again. Rest of staff is fine but besides The manager.. The assistant manager represents this location.
As many times as I have had to go into the office it is always under staffed. At one point I saw 4 employees standing outside smoking and talking, while there were at least 6 people in line.
