when looking up info online on the uhaul website, it is unclear as to if you pay for milage and gas. I was told when I arrived that it is indeed both.

I keep getting receipts for the rental and none are correct. I am to the point of having my credit card company denied charges. A cargo rental and 9 miles is not 76.54 or 48.05. I have never had this much trouble with Uhaul before.Lesson learned check your receipt and credit card.

When I dropped off my truck, the man I spoke with was very rude and told me that I couldn't turn in my trucks separately even though I had 2 separate contracts. He then proceeded to complain about having to stay late to clean out the trucks because I turned them in 10 minutes before closing. He was very rude and unprofessional. I returned the trucks during normal business hours and returned them clean and with the proper amount of fuel. The attitude of the man I spoke with was completely uncalled for.

I arrived and the truck I reserved wasn't there. They had to put me in a truck that was larger than I needed. Also it was really badly beat up. In addition, I got it in and it had 1/4 tank of fuel, not 3/8 like the documentation. When I returned the truck, I had to wait for 20 minutes idling before they were ready to inspect it. I had to do the inspection with blinkers and such. I hadn't had to do this prior to leaving so this doesn't make sense. Also they decided to charge me $12.75 for fuel surcharge because I only raised the fuel to 1/4+ 1 line. Which is about 3/8's of a tank. But also way above what I had when I left. This was ticky tacky and really left me with a sour taste.

I returned the truck after office hours. I was told to drop the keys off at the entrance of the store. I had assumed there would be a key box. However, there was no such box. My friend & I hunted for such a box only to finally discover that there was no box, but a narrow slit at the side of the entrance just enough to drop the keys on the floor!

I was treated very rudely. When I returned the van, the guy tried to charge my mileage in km rather than miles. He was going to charge me for 80 miles, when I only went 5 miles. He treated me like an idiot, and I basically had to be mean to him to get him to go and check again and see if the odometer was on km. He trudged off and did it , and then he walked by me and said "it will be $43.00 (rather than the nearly $500 he tried to charge) He just kept on walking to the office, and I had to follow him in to make sure that it was done correctly. When I caught up with him at the register (since I didn't trust him, I had to go and get a paper receipt) I told him that I thought that he owed me an apology, and he ignored me. I asked his name, and he walked away. Before all of this, he made some disparaging remarks about my size and inability to get back into the van (I had parked it too close to another truck). Terrible treatment. He also told me that he could make it so that I could never rent from Uhaul again, even if I paid the $475.00. Really bad experience. I'm so glad that I was actually present when he charged me. If I'd dropped it off after hours, I might not have been able to show them the error. Not cool.

U-haul personnel need to brief the customer on the allowed mileage of the truck. I was never briefed on the allowed mileage and I went over the mileage and had to pay $61 more when I dropped off the truck in WA. I deviated on the "supposed" route to WA from TX. I did not want to travel through states like Utah and Colorado because i did not want to put my family in danger from the weather there. Also, I am not sure if U-Haul factors in traveling to restaurants and hotels throughout the trip. Also U-Haul does not provide a military discount. On my next military i will sure not to utilize U-haul. I was disappointed with the service. The personnel at this particular U-haul station in WA was very rude and could not answer any of my questions. I was passed from one U-haul representative to another, twice. They were very unprofessional. I have submitted for an appointment on the military installation here in WA to discuss the performance of this u-haul center, so that other service members are aware of this particular U-haul center and to utilize at their own risk.

Best LOC ever!! Jordan Cravens - checking me back in - Professional and FAST. And, he had literally 10 trucks come in at the same time, it was raining, and his attitude was terrific - GREAT HIRE there U-Haul folks. I recall Jordan checking me in with his smartphone and it was all wet (WA, it was raining), walked the truck, checked the turn signals and lights, etc. - I sure Hope U-Haul covers him if that was his personal device! Contract 24619777, Saturday 2/18/17. He was obviously under pressure/stress, but handled it like a PRO. I even said, no worries Jordan, I can hang tight as long as you need, but he still pressed on FAST. That is service folks! Better hang on to that guy, he’s great for your customers. I Remember seeing Mike Smith decaled on the door as the GM - probably should have found him and said thanks. Mike runs a tight shop. Steven Ervin - Check out guy, he was great too, very personable. We had a good laugh about the whole chip/swipe at the POS terminal. Good team there U-Haul folks! I'll be back. Lastly, not sure if you track my patronage, but, I ran a U-Haul from Detroit to Seattle this past summer (LONG ride across the top of our great country). I returned the vehicle @ this same LOC in Federal Way, rented a locker for a couple months while I settled, etc. Again, GREAT experience. While I am on my rant, you could literally eat off the floors at this facility. I am truly amazed at how well it is managed and maintained. Nice job folks. Jason Gain. 253-222-3134.

The gentleman who was supposed to meet us when we dropped our trailer off in the back lot never showed up. We waited about ten minutes for him, drove back up to the canopy to see if he was still up there but he was no where in sight. He had already checked our trailer in (we hope) so we ended il leaving. It was weird and uncomfortable. I assume he got busy and forgot about us- so - no- I wouldnt recommend this location to anyone else, if thats how you treat your customers. We have to rent another uhaul to move the rest of our stuff in a few more weeks- so hoping we can find another location to rent from.
