U-Haul should have a frequent renters program so people who decide to use U-Haul instead of other truck rental companies are encouraged to do so by building up points based on rentals to get some sort of reward such as a discount, etc.RICHARD C.
Have used this location in the past and have always had good experiences. A few things I would like to see happen though is when the employer gave me all my equipment, I.E. Dolleys, etc. she brings them out and says here you go, and I had to load all of them myself and I have a bad back, they need to have someone load everything for their customers. After I drop the vehicle off on Sunday I entered the building and was asking where the dropbox was for the key and there was a lady in there that was super rude and it didn't tell me where the dropbox was and you didn't even give me her name after I asked her for it then I gave the keys to one of the employees that work there and then today they called me all day saying or asking me where did I leave the key this is unbelievable and very unprofessionalMichael B.

My box had a forklift puncture that put a hole in the U-Haul rent a box and one of my boxes of goods. Luckily the fork lift missed the items in my box. The staff was amazing. Jareth went out of his way to help me. In the days of poor customer service in most places, I find U-Haul has some of the best customer representatives. Jareth should teach all new employees what going above and beyond can mean for repeat customers and a positive customer experience.Timothy G.
The desk clerk was putting something together when we reached the desk. She didn't acknowledge us or say give me a moment. I asked which line was open and she said I can take you. She was still putting whatever together. We finish and she tell's us the truck is around the back; go out the right side of the building. The truck was on the left side. I registered online and uploaded my license... Still took 25 minutes to get off the property with the truck... Missed my 6pm deadline by 15 minutes so I ended up not even being able to use the truck and brought it back. Clerk wouldn't stop watching movie on his phone to do his job. The truck was in poor condition. We packed the truck the day before moving. It rained that night and there are two openings in the ceiling of the roof that caused water to get in. It damaged a lot of my property. Front desk is very rude, I asked to pick up the U-haul earlier and she said â€œit ain't readyâ€ never asked for my name, number or anything. Trailer Lights kept going out and i got pulled over by the police. Plus i tried to pay cash and i was told that you pay when you drop off. Then i got charged on the card i was told they were going to hold info. I paid a overdraft fee from my bank. i called customer service and it kept hanging up before anyone picked up. It was an extremely long line. I self checked in and the woman behind the desk gave me me paperwork which said equipment 3342 and I got keys for 3349. I didn't realize was a mistake until a few things happened. I pulled the truck up, the attendant told me I owed $30+ dollars for gas, I told him that's impossible because I only went a total of about 6 miles. The attendee to me I had 2 options, to give him $10 and he'll put gas in the truck and he'll make the $30 charge disappear or I could go in and pay the woman behind the desk. I told him I don't owe $30 and I wasn't paying that. I ask him what did equipment 3342 mean, he said â€œthat doesn't mean anythingâ€, I said let's go inside and talk to the woman behind the desk. The attendant and I went to the same girl who gave me the key and said â€œdon't come over here because I don't do thatâ€! I was extremely bothered that was said, so the attendant and I went to another woman who said she would help me. The young lady looked at the paperwork and said to the other woman â€œyou gave him the wrong truckâ€! The young lady said, someone else was currently in my truck driving around the city and the truck I had a hold on it for some type of repair issues that needed to be done. The young lady ask me , â€œhow was the truck drivingâ€ and I said â€œit's good, no issueâ€. The young lady then had to call her boss and they had to get instructions on how to edit the hold, release the truck, then put my name on the truck I never rented. I was charged by the first woman how completely messed up this transaction $111.20. The young lady said the truck you had has another persons name on it, so I was riding around under another persons name and another person was riding around under my name. Can you imagine if there was an accident or something and myself and the other person had the wrong trucks under or name??? The young lady said â€œok, I put your name on the right truck and I'm going to refund you $56.64 because I'm not going to charge you for the furniture pads. The young lady said, â€œyour new charge will be $70.86 so keep all 3 pieces of paper, the original paperwork showing $111.20, the refund showing $56.64 and the new charge $70.86â€. The young lady apologized that the other woman made this complete disaster of a mistake and told me just to keep a eye out on my bank account for all the charges. This truck rental return should have taken no more than 10 minutes, but I was in the uhaul office for over 50 minutes. I feel I should be reimbursed the entire amount because this type of mistake could have been a tragic event if someone would've gotten in a car accident under another persons name. I will never use uhaul again and I will tell everyone my experience if this entire transaction isn't refunded back to me. I'm appalled.William B.

No air conditioner running in south Florida store. They were polishing floors and everything was pushed over and Thefe was no where to sit boxes on chair while I was checking in for rental and sweating and standing up. Truck was a walk to the back of building. The rep didn't even get up out of her chair. Didn't explain things sufficiently. I was not impressed by the entire experience. Everything was excellent from the pickup and especially the drop off in Baltimore. The drop off and I don't know her name but she was the best. Even if the system is down when the service person is taking the reservation, make sure they ask if the customer wants insurance coverage included. In my case, insurance coverage ($20) was added without asking if I wanted it. It was deducted once I informed the service person.Eminela B.
The equipment that I had rented was not made available at the time of my rental. As a result, several pieces of furniture were not properly protected and broke during the move. The associate made no initiative to help resolve the situation and only called another store at my request; however, my rental pickup was within the last hour of all stores closing. Not happy with the fact that I ordered a Haul for one Bedroom apartment, I got the small Van, I had to do it in 3 troops.. to get all my furniture and stuff. the gas tank was at zero when I brought the Van, they ask me to fill out the tank, when I used only 38 miles... That is something wrong with the people working there, finally I spoke to the manager and end by paying only $10 for the Gas.. They asked me why I did not take a picture of the milage and the Gas.. I trusted the company, if the lady said the car with given with a full Tank, then to me it is true, the only problem is that I had only few miles, that couldn't justify the full tank... Anyway, beside these incidents, I will still use U Haul, in case of moving or anything else where a big Cargo Van is necessary.Jasmine S.

While my experience with Harry and his team at 5-points was excellent. Uhaul in general has a dismal track record with me. In this latest episode, I had reserved a truck weeks ago for my scheduled move . I flew in from Tampa to pick up the truck was told there are no trucks available only when was in Fort Lauderdale. I found my storage really dirty with lots black mulch debris and no AC climate room as I asked! So I didn’t have choice, because there wasn’t other storage available! Today wasn’t the best trip for me to this store. Though we got the job done, the journey to rent was awful. To be short, a problem in the system resulted in about 18 taps, insertions, and swipes of two separate pay cards along with some failed manual input attempts. I was left emotional after 45 mins of that torture, a trip to the atm, and a friendly 10-min grace window to pay after normal store hours. I’m glad I didn’t have to change locations. Also glad I didn’t blow up. Jareth, please be a bit more sensitive to customers feelings and stop putting so much emphasis on the possibility of FRAUUUDULENT suspicions at my bank. The online system was good and easy. No big complaints there. Our unit has stair-only access, which wouldn’t have deterred me, but I could see that being an issue for others. I don’t remember that being stated in the description. We did have difficulty finding our unit. I did not see the link for the facility map that was in an email until after we went to the facility. We were driving around and couldn’t find the right building, a directional sign, or map. We eventually went into the office, where the only associate was working with another customer. We waited for a few minutes, but eventually a small paper map on an empty associates desk, from which we were able to find our unit. I would recommend some signage to at least direct cars toward the right access doors for the different alphabetic regions. The “air conditioned” unit was very hot. After loading our unit we went back the the office and told the associate who said they knew and that it was going to be fixed soon. We went back today (two weeks later) and the AC unit was running, but it was still above 85° On the wall mounted thermometer. Not the end of the world, but worth noting, the door stop on the access door to our section is broken. One final note, our unit had a rat trap in the corner. On one hand, I appreciate pest control, but on the other, it was concerning.Cory K. | Online Move In
