The truck was basically falling apart. The driver would go to pull the seat belt and the walll cover piece would fall at them. The power steering was horrible. The tow haul that turns on as soon as you start the truck made the truck's RPM's jump like crazy this making the truck jump forward when applying the gas. The location was able to give me a 15 foot truck when I required a 26' truck. I was unable to move all of my property and thus have to pay for an additional month of having a storage unit with the rest of my stuff in a city that I no longer live in. Over all I'm pissed. Horrible experience and waste of money. I will be going to an actual moving company if I move any time in the future. Uhaul has proven to be a joke.WILLIAMG M.

Reserved truck, appliance dolly & regular dolly online...arrived at the store on moving day & there was no appliance dolly left available for me which really messed up my move. The associate at uhaul didnt charge me for the regular dolly in lieu of the missing appliance dolly but i still had to go spend an additional $225 at canadian tire to buy the appliance dolly anyway so yes they tried to make up for it but it still ended up costing me way more in the end. If something is available to reserve online days before pickup it should be there when you arrive. I think my entire rental shouldve been comped but it is what it is.STEPHANIE I.

I believe price is to much so is better to have a flat fee on any long haul so the costumer feel more comfortable when they rent in the spot so they know what they paid instead of renting the truck and then worry about km and not enjoying even if the rent it . This was the worst customer service I've ever had to deal with anywhere I rented a trailer which the size wasn't what I wanted because they told me they had no more and there wasn't any more in the city when I drove to the back of the parking lot there were three back there the sizes that I want the lady wouldn't even get out of her chair to go check I took the trailer it didn't fit my needs when I brought it back and said are you sure the three trailer that are in the back aren't able to run out the lady said no they're isn't 3 trailer back there again would not go check then charge me the full price for rental I called another location and they had trailers after the lady at this location told me that she had no trailers and there was none in the city of Windsor this was that the location on Walker Road in Windsor Ontario after leaving that location and going to the other location on Tecumseh Road East and Windsor Ontario the lady I don't with was very helpful and understanding after calling and complaining with the Walker Road store the gentleman by the name of Carlos who kept calling me bro on the phone and laughing at me was very disrespectful I would never use this location never again and would consider never using you Haul again as my experience was that badTHOMASR H.

I booked the pick up truck to pick up a pool for my grand children I was going 28 km. The day prior I was told it's $19,95 a day. So I brought it back I hr early then planned .I was told when I booked it the ÄŽAY BEFORE THE RATE WAS .59 PER KM. WHEN RETURNED HE SAID THE RATE IS .69 PER KM . SO I QUESTIONED THE PRICE THE GUY SAID CUSTOMER SERVICE WASNT AWARE OF THE INCREASE AND SAID YOU HAVE TO PAY $.69. IS THIS HOW U MAKE YOUR $$$ LYING TO CUSTOMERS?? NOT IMPRESSED WILL NEVER RECOMMEND U TO ANY ONE THE $19.95 PER DAY IS A BIG FAT LIE. My son has 4 trucks for construction company I chose to rent tour what a mistake not that it really matters with a big company like yourself and I am a widow buying g a pool fror my grand children . Sad to say but this has been an awful experience. Needs to be more guidance on how to use locks and lockers... perhaps employees should walk with customers to their units and show them to the location of their locker/how to utilize their lock and lockers for the first time securely to avoid theft as what happened to us. Building flooded and no compensation related to that. Attempted to get a hold of insurance (which is a third party insurance company) many times with no return contact. Read the contract CAREFULLY because there are a ton of stipulations regarding damage.... Was given a swipe card to use after hours that did not work and therefore could access my unit after hours. Workers seem ill-knowledgeable, but some are great. One employee knew we’d been having a bad experience with and attempted to compensate us by lowering mileage cost on our truck rental and giving us last month rent free, so thank you for that. As I’ve been told, the store has no individual control and everything is run and mandated daily by corporate. Which is actually a huge pain and annoyance in special circumstances. I was given a temporary unit that I wasn’t being charged for, and every time I needed to visit the unit, it was locked by corporate with a “non-payment” sticker on it. I received countless emails (even though I didn’t owe money) from corporate that were void but “protocol.” What a waste of time???? Sorry, but I will not be renting or utilizing Uhaul services again. I was given a Chevy Silverado pickup with 1/4 of a tank. To avoid running out of gas, I put in $20.00, for just over 15 L at the beginning of the rental. This brought the tank up to 7/16ths which was 3/16th more. From that, I estimated 5 L per 1/16th tank, or a tank capacity of 80 L. Luckily, I brought the truck back with the right amount of gasoline. So, next time let customers know about the capacity of 80 L, or 5 L per 1/16th, and try not to give out vehicles going on empty hoping a customer will put in more gasoline than they use. Okay so this is how I'm going to say this and I'm a very blunt I am very upset on how I was treated this time around which is my second time of going to U-Haul the reason why I want to U-Haul the second time is because I had a good experience the first time. This time I actually called for a trailer and truck as I was buying a from a pickup truck to make a bed out of it! the guy was supposed to book it for me that I was talking to him I even gave him his my Visa debit I am not impressed with the knowledge and the stupidity of people that don't care of somebody else's time very inconsiderate! if it wasn't the for the girl that called me the day before and said do you still want to rent the truck and trailer I said still I already rented it 🤦 I am extremely very upset and disappointed I will not recommend your company to anybody as I was told that I would have helped cuz I asked if I could have two bodies to help me and my buddy pick out the bed of the truck and put in a storage unit they told me yes we can get that two guys to help you! Thats what I was told when I got there they said no that's not our job 😡 I actually work at Gus Revenberg's as an auto detailer at Volkswagen of Windsor! I was told when I worked at Saturn's Hummer Windsor and Gus on that too customer is always right whether they're right or wrong the customer is always right and a happy customers are turning customer so I will make sure that if anybody ask about U-Haul I'm going to say don't rent from them go elsewhere I am so not happy I'm actually really angry! The only negative thing I could say is that the access card reader was broken at the entrance door to the storage building, so I had to put on a mask and enter the office each time to scan my card in and out as I came and left. This caused me to forget sometimes, tripping the alarm.ken n. | Overall Experience
I have been using UHaul for many many years now. And I will continue to use UHaul in the future. But I do have a couple of concerns. 1) Very disturbing when the alarm sounds. It's very very loud and "piercing". Sometimes it seems to set itself off every few minutes. Difficult to get things done when you're having to constantly cover your ears. Doesn't seem to be a reason for it going off as frequently as it does. And why is it SO LOUD? A friend of mine was in the facility to help me when it went off. He has a sound sensitivity disorder. His first response after the alarm went off is that he wanted to sue UHaul. I had to have him sit in his car to protect himself. Surely the volume you have your alarm set at is higher than industrial "safe" levels. This should be reported. It has to be damaging to customers and especially your employees. I saw one of your employees wearing ear plugs for this reason. If your employee deems it to be too loud, then why aren't you warning your customers and recklessly subjecting them to unsafe sound. 2) you advertise that you have 5'x5' storage rooms. I had an item I wanted to put into a 5'x5' storage room that was 24" deep and 4'9" long. It should have fit. I couldn't because your 5'x5' storage rooms are in fact 5'x4' 7.5". That's close to half a foot shorter than you advertise. Of course, I couldn't fit the item and I had to forfeit renting the space. But this is false advertising. Was not happy about that but needed a unit, so my choices were limited when I should have have my choice if many empty ones up front.
