Was there during normal business hours even the sign saying it was open hours still nobody was there to help me. Resorted to the online app and it was ok, fairly easy, had one little hiccup and had to call customer service but they were very pleasant and helped me through it. Truck was super nice and perfect for what we needed. I did have to leave my vehicle there and there wasn't anywhere convenient to park. Had to park down by the office and walk. Other than "having" to rent online, and having to park down a hill by the office and walk. I give it 4 out of 5 stars . Definitely use these trucks again! Thanks UhaulMichael W.

It takes too long when you have to talk to an associate on the phone. The system always put you on hold for 15 to 30 minutes. It's a waste of important time. Once you get a chance to talk to an associate all is well.Donald M.
I made reservation to pick up 10' truck at another location in Gardendale at 3:30 p.m.. After arriving there, I was told they didn't have a truck for me and was told to call 800 number. I requested to speak with a supervisor. I was repeatedly booked for another location that was 20 miles out of my way. I re-submitted my reservation to Fultondale location. Arrived there and was told nothing was on file for me. The front desk lady was very helpful and called 800 number to help me. I was only able to rent the 15' not 10' for several hours and not the 24 hours I needed. I requested a discount because of my inconvenience and was denied. It took me 2 1/2 hours between phone calls to 800 rep, driving around town before getting a uhaul.Vanessa C.

Brooke was very polite and patient. Went to connect trailer and had the wrong hitch but had the correct one in the car. Then had to locate the keys to unlock it. Kept apologizing but she said it was no problem at all. When another customer pulled in, we told her to go ahead and take care of them while we looked for the keys and swapped out the hitch. She called to the customer and said she would be right there but the customer was just looking for her card to get in the gate and said she had found it. We got the hitch switched out, she attached the chains, took a picture, and we were on our way. Had a great experience from reserving the trailer early, having to change the pick up date, to actually picking up the trailer. No problem getting it all handled. Thank you, Brooke!!! I have about $5000 worth of stuff missing. Mirrors, expensive luggage, boxes of beauty stuff, my jewelry some of which was inherited. My unit had 2 doors. They waited a week after I put my stuff in storage to tell me it had 2 doors. The worker told me they went in but never in a million years would I have expected them to steal from me!!!!! We will never use UHaul again, the original place we reserved our truck from was on Highway 31 at Gardendale Flea Mall, when we get there to get our truck we did the process on our phone. The back door of the truck had a padlock on it so we could not get in it. After about an hour on the phone trying to get someone we still could not get in the truck, and the Flea Mall was not open. We had to go to the location on Carson Road to get another truck. Although the lady in the office was very friendly and very helpful, our truck was very dirty on the inside. We had our whole day planned as to what time we would leave and get to our destination and it was all messed up. The only thing we were offered was to not be charged the 50.00 reservation fee. We were very unsatisfied with this experience with UHaul and the way they handled it!johnny M.

The staff member was late to work, and so she had several people waiting to pick up their trucks. The one I was assigned was filthy. A piece of fried chicken skin and crust was stuck to the steering wheel. The ashtray was full of cigarette ashes and the truck stunk horribly of cigarettes. There was less than 1/8 a tank of gas in the truck, and I had already had to pick up further from my original pick up spot. I was supposed to have 24 packing blankets, but the staff member said she forgot about them. I didn't discover this until I had gone back to my moving spot. I couldn't waste another hour dealing with this. The cargo area of the truck was filthy.....she told me I couldn't pick up early because she had to disinfect the truck. But the cab was nasty, and the cargo area was full of trash, crayons, a busted piggy bank with coins everywhere.....it was obvious no one had cleaned this truck. I returned the truck with 1/2 a tank of gas and it was clean....i swept it out and sprayed it with Lysol. I would never want anyone to get what I received when picking up my UHaul.MaryLynette B.

The condition of the truck was horrible. Something had been spilled in the back of the truck and opening the roll up door smelled like a gym locker. The inside of the cab was also very dirty, smelled like an old smokers truck and the overhead light cover fell while driving. Then the transmission slipped so bad I thought I had been hit from behind. Unless it was an absolute emergency I couldn't imagine renting another â€œin townâ€ truck from UHaul.Edward S.

This dealer was courteous and helpful. But the communication between the dealers and from corporate UHaul was very poor. I had inconsistent mileage limits from document to document, even after I had spoken on the phone to a customer care representative. I was given pickup locations that were well out of my way and charged for the extra miles that it took me to pick up, despite being told I was given extra miles for this inconvenience. We have another move coming up soon, and I intend to use Penske because of this frustrating experience.ADAM M.

We requested a specific truck and a specific location. We were assigned a location and time more than an hour away, and half a day different in time. Only after several calls were we finally able to get a reservation at a location close enough to work for us. When we arrived, the location was not open at 7, as advertised. Operator arrived an hour and 25 minutes late. We were charged for pads, hand trucks and furniture dolly which we did not receive. We were eventually refunded the amount for supplies, but shouldn't have been charged in the first place, if those items were not available. We were charged for rental beginning at 7, when the rental wasn't available until 8:30. We returned the truck at 10:30, but were charged for an entire extra day. Nice young lady at the location, but an unsatisfactory experience as a whole. If a location does not have the supplies needed, or if the location will not be open at the time needed, it speaks poorly to the company's reputation.Christopher Lee W.
