Again, the main problem is with UHAUL centralized reservations. I booked a trailer 3 weeks ago. I ended up at a small service station which did not have my trailer. THANKFULLY, I was able to find a trailer in ALSIP Illinois. However, if there had not been a suitable trailer, my entire move back to Washington DC would have been ruinedMichael X.
You should have the size truck I reserved weeks ahead of time and then not charge for all the extra mileage I had to do because you gave me a smaller truck that was not able to be one-way.Jessica P.

There is confusion over the payment...I was billed what seemed like twice with no explanation. I have called several times and am still waiting to hear back from someone. The first truck gave to me returned after driving less than a mile since oil level is too low. The second truck was stop at the gate of the U haul due to battery was weak. I drove away the third truck. This wasted more than an hour of my time. I had to pay an hour's rate unnecessarily to movers who came to helped me. You have someone assigned to check out the truck for dents and other concerns with customers so that the customers can leave early after signing the contract. It took more than 30 minutes to leave after the contract was signed because there was no one to address my concerns. Yet when returning the truck, you charged me one day for returning it 30 minutes late.Peter M.

The hitch caused a rattle that the Uhaul tech refused to attempt to repair. We are working with another Uhaul location to get the rattle fixed but it has been several weeks with no solution. Compensate me for my Storage bin being Burglarized last month at this Same location over 5000 worth of Property loss.Insurance Company that insures the Property denied my Claim and Uhaul doesn't seem to Care as Well. Is this good Customer Service ? How would you Feel if your Storage Bin on the inside got Burglarized Wouldn't you Want to be Compensated ?? I submitted to do mobile pick up and on arrival was told the mobile pick up was not working so I would have to wait until the store opened. By the time the store opened and I received my uhaul, my movers already left. I had to move my entire house by myself and pay movers for nothing all because of false advertising. Both times I've been here I've had issues. The first time I was sent to an incorrect pickup location. The second time, no one would help me attach a 1500lb trailer to my suv. When I attached it, the tail light was out. I called for help but the attendant said just to switch them. He said he could not help me switch them seven though there were 2 attendants. I left the trailer where I felt comfortable detaching it by myself (on flat ground) and hooked up the next trailer. Then I had to get the attendants attention to do the final check because he had his headphones on. Then when I returned it, the attendant had not switched the trailer numbers which cause confusion. Maybe the young guy who wouldn't help me is the only issue but I would have fired him on the spot. The equipment was great and I had no issues there.Matthew S.

Instead of bringing the truck around to the front of the store to allow us to leave in an orderly fashion. We were sent to wander the back lots to find our own truck which was boxed in by other trucks. This caused us to walk back to the front desk and wait to have someone at the desk contact another employee who would assist with the truck. At this point I was forced to waste 20 minutes of my time and by the time the employee showed up to assist in getting the truck out it was almost 30 minutes of wasted time. Then when the employee did help the employee just moved one truck and would not drive my truck out to where I could safely leave. I believe this location is encouraging customers to damage the trucks instead of making sure the trucks are brought to them safely. I was so frustrated after the now nearly 50 minutes to get my truck out that I forgot to get my furniture blankets. This all could have been avoided had the truck been brought around by the employee and then the employee put the blankets in the truck not to mention my wasting nearly an hour of my time. Absolutely terrible customer service!!!!!!!JASON N.
Truck was blocked in by a returned truck asked for someone to move it and it took thirty minutes. There were three people there and we were told we couldn't get help to hookup trailer. We also finally got the truck out and found out there was no mount for the trailer. Our reservation was for 4:30 we didn't leave the uhaul place until 5:30 because staff was so unhelpful and nothing was prepared for our reservation.Kaya F.

Very poor communication between the management and the sales team. The day of my rental after 45 minutes of waiting in line, I was told I couldn't get the truck because of an ealert. I had to call a number, wait for one and a half hour for someone to pick up, just to say that the issue seems to have already been solved... I was asked to go back to the store to try again. And indeed this time it worked. The only problem is that now I am 2 hours late because of whatever this was.Gabriel A.

I had a first month free storage available and was ready to activate it but the young guy there decided to just randomly charge my card i keep on file without authorization or signature $235 !!!! When i explained I had the 1st month free he froze up and the young lady there did a refund/reimbursement but that can take up to 3 days ! I was so frustrated with the lack of consideration those funds werent meant to be taken out which puts me in an overdraft situation and tight space for this week. The elevator was not working at all u-Associates asked me to use the stairs instead of the elevator to move my belongings to the second floor which was impossible and tedious. It was not communicated with me at the time that I began my rental that there were issues with the alarm system and that I would not be able to access my unit after hours. The manager was helpful getting in, but we only got ahold of him after about 20 minutes of calling. If this information would’ve been provided at check in, I would’ve been aware that I could not access the unit after 7 and would not have driven 2 hours to access my items. You need more people assistring customers.There was a very long line by the time I was finished even though the person helping me was also multi taksing with others at the same time. I was not able to get into the locker I rented since I did not have anything to cut the temporary plastic lock on it. I was not told about this and no one was there. So I need to go back today with a scissor and do this. Please fix your survey and add a third answer. I cannot say whether or not the locker was clean since I have not been able to see it as explained above. Always clean and always secure. I rented from here for many years and aside from the yearly nominal rent increase (went up about $5 per month each year), I thoroughly enjoyed this location. It was VERY clean, always, with easy access, parking, and available carts for toting belongings from the unit to the loading dock. I was given a storage room that was already occupied! So when my movers went to move my items in the storage unit, they couldn’t. The office was closed and their manager’s 24 hour emergency number kept going to voicemail. Horrible experience ever! My only concern is that I went to the facility after reserving a non-air conditioned unit. When she asked me what did I want I said a non-air conditioned unit. The lady behind the counter then proceeded to give me what I now realize is an air conditioning unit. The items that I'm storing do not require air conditioning. She has therefore double the price of what I have to pay monthly which increases the chance that I might not be able to pay. I was trying to get a unit that I'm sure that I could afford every month. Why she decided to give me whatever unit she wanted confuses me. The reason I went to that facility is because I went to my U-Haul account first and checked locations where I can find a non-air conditioning unit on the first floor. I don't want to ride elevators so I wanted the first floor and I don't need air conditioning.
