I am just hoping that the staff didn't give anyone any information out about me. Shortly after I rented it, I had an unusual incident happen to me at the Arco gas station located at Rosecrans and Figueroa. This black woman pulled real close in front of me just as I was getting ready to leave, and so I had to back up to get out. Then she pulled forward again, right in front of me, and gets out of her car and starts screaming at me. She called me a BITCH and racist, and I didn't even do anything to her. I couldn't even who was in the car until the person got out of it. It was just bizarre and unprovoked.

This location Is very close to Z gallerie outlet, so it made my inpromtu purchase easy to deliver by myself. The only awkward and a bit of a turn off is having the guys who are cleaning the trucks have music at full blast while they do their job. I’m all for enjoying a bit of music as you work, but the volume was fully turned. This happened as I picked up my van and also when I dropped it off. Otherwise, I would have given 5 stars.

Dear Uhaul I had a bad experience that e entualy turned good. I reserved a 26ft 7 days in advance and you gave it away. No one called me even though it was reserved it was given away. Lucky for me and my customer I was referred to another location where the Truck was available. If in doubt about a reservation it would be courteous to reach out to the customer before giving the rental to the next one line.

The truck was clean and ran great but has over 100,000 miles and was terribly beat up. This is the second beat up truck we've had to take from S. Calif. to Oregon and couldn't help but wish we had a newer model.

To top it off, when I delivered the truck I was being charged for mile I didn't drive. I had only driven 13 miles and they wanted to charge me for 48 miles. worst experience ever with U-Haul.

A lady hung up in my face because I guess I was asking too many questions. So I had to call back and spoke with someone else. And the man who took down information in the truck acted like he couldn't speak a single word. He just kept holding out his hand and singnaling all the way up until the last minute after I excepted the payment method and he gave me a fake "thanks". They all suck and I will never go back. ??

Have a trained team working in your establishment, when corporate says management personell are at work, they are really there. Not being bounced around on the phone lines to get nothing answered. How a $19.95 rental can turn into a $180 plus 24 rental is beyond my compression. This place is a total RIP off! Apparently more people are aware of this than me. Customer service is atrocious and appalling, would NEVER recommend to anyone. BE AWARE, wouldn't be surprised to see a class action suit being started. A nerve racking stressful experience to say the least.

Mr douglas brumfield needs to be trained in good customer service. I have over 10 years of customer experience; i was shocked by his lack of professionalism. He never greeted, said thank you or anything else. I will never use uhaul again or for sure this location.

I recommend buying the highest level of insurance. I purchased only the I think it was called "Safemove." That was great because it did fully cover some damage to the truck, but it didn't cover damage when I cut a right turn too sharp into a moving storage gate and it took it off the rails. Be sure you get coverage against damage to third parties--I can't recall but maybe it's "Safemove Plus." My insurance wouldn't cover anything because the 26' van had 6 wheels. I never counted them. Check your own insurance carefully!

Staff was pretty polite. I requested a furniture dolly to rent. The image on the wall showed showed a short, full dolly with a backing and handle. The one I received was on a small rectangle with foue wheels. I did not realize this until I arrived at my location. However, when I asked the guy who brought the truck to do an inspection of thr truck, he said, "No, we don't have to do that. It's a new truck." I have never had anyone tell me that in the past. Had we conducted the inspection, I would have noticed the dolly. The truck also was nearly empty of gas. They deducted $18 while doing my contract.

After I picked-up the trailer and started using it I noticed that the trailer's axle was skewed to the left and the trailer was moving "sideways." The left wheel was almost rubbing against the rear of the wheel well while there was about four inches of clearance for the right wheel. I called U-Haul and reported it and recommended that the trailer be "red tagged" and removed from service until repaired.,

Poor customer service. First time renting a truck. When I got there I had already made the online reservation and there were 3 employees standing there doing nothing. The lady at the counter seemed like she just did not want to be there and moved and attended the customer in front of me in a very slow and annoyed pace. 30 minutes later there was a line of 6 people still waiting it was past the time I ordered the truck to be ready and she finally got to me. She sighed like if it was so annoying to do her job. I told her I had reserved a truck and showed her my information and then I checked the truck number and it wasn't even the same one on the reservation I made. They gave me a dirty truck that smelled like dog inside. She didn't explain anything to me on how to return the truck and the guy who brought it over just said good luck. My husband and I looked at each other and said "well ok". So because of that when we returned the truck an hour before it was due the store was closed and we were trying to figure out how to check in the car. It wasn't until we dropped in the keys that we saw that we had to check it in online and put the mileage and take a picture of that as well. Now we know and we definitely know we won't be returning here at this location.

The delay in between receiving approval of my driver licens photo through your online express check in feature was too long. I stood outside in the hot sun standing next to the truck I had rented for nearly 10 minutes, waiting for your representive to approve it. Also the actual mileage on the truck was about 5 miles higher than what the paperwork said.

Make sure you train your employees to write accurate miles prior to renting vehicles as well as gas gage reading. I was over charge for miles. Money is no the issue is the principle

Even though I rented a van, I felt that it needed to be a bit cleaner then I received it. The exterior needed to be washed so that I could see through the windows and I found pieces of glass in the interior. Also there were several "nat" like flying bugs inside when I turned the AC.

I reserved a truck the day before my actual need. The following morning it took approximately 5 minutes from paperwork to reviewing the condition of the rental truck. On the return of the truck, the final paperwork took less than a minute. That's the way to satisfy a customer. Good work!!

I made a 7 am reservation and when i arrived the U Haul employees said they dont open until 8. So i waited around for an hour for it to open, and the same guy that i asked at 7 am assisted me in getting the truck. I asked him about the U Haul Guarantee that i had in my email for a 7 am pick up and he was rude and defensive by stating that "you didn't make the appointment with me". What happened to my guarantee? I am very unhappy with the service i received and even more upset with how the employee handled it. Gardena was great but I had to go there and get a 20 footer when Torrance didn't have the 26 footer that I had reserved... since I had to get a smaller one I had to make 2 trips to fountain valley ftom.san pedro... so it cost me 80+ more for my trip plus extra gas ... that wasn't gardena fault but I'm upset I had to pay more money cause my guaranteed uhaul wasn't there as promised

The size truck (26') was not available anywhere in Long Beach, CA where I originally reserved the truck. I was sent to Gardena, CA where I was to pick up a 26' truck at 8am. There was no 26' foot available until 11:30am. I was moving a large home and needed a 26' truck. I was offered a 20' truck with an additional 30 miles. I was forced to make more trips exceeding the miles and rental days that came with the truck and the additional miles. I have rented many trucks from U-Haul, maybe it's time to try another truck rental company.

I have been closing locations in several cities and I place the order using the same credit card . I don't understand why the truck can't be picked up without me being present . I know there's policies in place however make exceptions for loyal customers , I sure you can pull up the history with my name and credit card number . I don't understand why some locations are able to be super understanding and accommodating and this locations. Was awful !! The whole experience was not a friendly one , hands me clipboard to go meet someone outside and wait for someone . This wplave was not willing to help , sad because there's another locations to rent from . Yes protect your business but use common sense to keep the customer happy !!

The guy that checked the vehicle prior to my driving off with the pickup was pleasant and explained about the mileage and refueling the vehicle was pleasant, professional and informative. He was on his personal cell phone on social media and having a conversation with another employee about seafood when I walked up to be helped. He did not acknowledge me until he was done with his conversation and when he did finally decide to help me he acted as if I was bothering or interrupting him. I only went through with the rental because I was in a bind and had no other choice.

This was a horrible experience. The original location in Inglewood, didn't have keys for the trucks and I had to switch locations. The person at the Inglewood location, didn't return my driver license and I had to drive all the way back to pick it up after going to the Gardena location. General manager was indifferent to customers with no ability to resolve my overcharge issues. Denver office repeatedly called to rectify my issues and he simply sent incoming calls to voicemail while he proceeded to text message on his private cell. Had to hand him my personal cell to speak with Denver office. Still charged me overtime after explaining multiple times about the defective tire issues and oil change. They had no interest in resolving my issues and waiving the charges.

I picked up the truck and the Lady I purchased the truck from said to return gas gage at full since that is what it currently is. I went a total of 14 miles on my receipt and I filled over 5 gallons of gas($16.20 at $2.99 per gallon) when I returned the truck. Does the truck get 3 miles per gallon? Person just said sorry, gage was probably a little under the full gage when I rented it and I should of noticed and told the worker. Could not help me. That was not right.

I understand that many ppl rent your vehicles for ALL kinds of reasons, BUT it would be a wonderful thing if you could think of a way to make your vehicles smell BETTER! The vehicle' interior smell had an awful stench. If I didn't need to use the van, I would not have used it. They were very busy he day I picked up the trailer son it was a little slow. Not a big deal though. The staff was nice and helpful. I felt that the price of $600, all said and done, For a 5x8 trailer was very high. Next time I will look into buying a used trailer as I move often due to being an independent contractor.

I've a comment on Uhaul's Rosemead location. A few days ago, I went and asked if I could rent a truck at Gardena to move things over and return the truck to Rosemead location, counter staff there told me yes I could do that, but fell short of telling me the price would be different if I chose not to return the truck to where I rented from. So yesterday I took 3 buses to get to their Gardena location to find out if I return the truck to Rosemead instead of Gardena, I've to pay $130, much more than the other way. I ended up spending 3 hours with buses to go to Gardena to get the truck, and another 3 hours to go back home after returning the truck to Gardena. In the past one and half years I rented Uhaul trucks for 6 times or more, and finally I feel Uhaul treated me like a jake, if not a fool! Ryder was much better in that, they simply told you all their trucks have to be returned to where they were rented.

The trailer lights were not working and I had to suggest to the gentleman to go get a tester to find out if it was the trailer or the connection from the car that wasn't working. Once that was quickly sorted out...he said I was "all set" and walked away to another customer (it was not busy, the other customer had just arrived and we were the only people on that lot at that time...hence, an extra 3-4 minutes seemingly wouldn't have been any inconvenience) without giving me any instructions whatsoever about how to pack the trailer for proper weight distribution, speed, increasing breaking distance or anything. My girlfriend ended up telling me all that information as she had received that briefing with an identical trailer she had rented a couple of years ago at Uhaul. That sort of indifference is not only bad customer service but could be damaging/dangerous for another person transporting belongings....

Customer service was acceptional. In the future if I need to rent a truck I will certainly double check to assure I have the right dolly. I feel this should go both ways. Because people trust that what they order is completed with the package delivery, they trust U-Haul to handle that side of it. A persons move could be for reason outside of location to location. A person that may be experiencing a death and dependent on you to handle this side of the deal because their head may not be all there but to have to come all the way back to the establishment is just not fair game. Thank you for taking the time to read my unfortunate mishap but overall, the service was outstanding.

When I returned the back door would not let up all the way. The associate stated "what did you do to the door?" I stated nothing; if I had any problem I would have telephone. He stated something happen. I stated it must have happen when you let it up. It turned out that the cable came off the track, and this wasn't the first time for that truck(stated by another associate). He was so kick to accuse me of doing something to the truck. I believe because I am an elderly black woman. He did not try to investigate the issue, He just start accusing. His action was not customer friendly nor professional. First of all the man who work to this location is the worst I ever met in any u haul rental i ever made..!!i don't want to go to this location ever again ..!!my wife also spoke on the phone with somebody impolite and told me and I'm sure is the same man!!!i wanted to change the drop off location and have a new style trailer and when I called 3-4 days before my rental , a woman told me that you can do all these the day you pick up the trailer and ask for a new , but anyway all our equipment is new....when I get there the guy didn't want to give me a new (they were 3 new and 1 old there!!) , and try tell me excuses and spend almost an hour speaking, just to get the new one...and that I must tell this from the beginning, and I told him I called but a woman who works there obviously tell me that i can do it the same day..!!Anyway, I also ask to change my drop off location and he said I will be charge extra for that!!! I'm renting u haul almost every 1-2 months the last year and this never happened again!!! I always rent from a location and give back to other, with no additional charge!!! And I took it Friday at 7 and give back Sunday 20' after 7 , and they charged me 3 days.!!!!NEVER AGAIN TO THIS LOCATION

Staff at the location is lost and lazy. First, the guy at the receiving area asked me to drive around the building, away from the drop off designated area, to disconnect the trailer, simply because he did not want to push the trailer to the back. Second, he refused to sign me off, saying the lady in the office is the only one who could to so. In fact, he kept complaining that corporate keep sending them more trailers and trucks, pointing to the ones in the lot, saying they don't need them. If he is unsatisfied with the employer to the point of complaining to a customer he just met, he better find another job. Third, the lady at the counter looked at the notes in the system but did not want to call traffic to confirm what I told her. I called customer service few hours earlier asking to drop off in a different location, they transferred me to traffic and traffic told me to drop off at the Gardena location and said that they would not charge me, and told me that if the staff at the location said anything to tell them you spoke with traffic and they should call traffic for any issues. She refused to do so and simply said the system does not say anything about nor charging me, so she did charge me for dropping off in a different location. I called customer service to complain but at that time traffic office had just closed. Bottom line, the staff at this location is NOT customer oriented, they need training badly. They clearly don't like what they do!

I reserved a truck from Uhaul (15 ft ) to move from Los Angeles to Dallas. I received a truck with a broken left side mirror and Douglas did nothing when I told him about it. He didn't try to find me another truck, even though I told him I was driving the truck across states and that might get me a ticket. He even argued with me and told told me it was legal to drive with a cracked mirror. I don't understand why that wasn't taken care of before my arrival when they had plenty of time to fix it. I also received a dirty truck that had sticky residue inside, the wipers were also messed up and I had to drive it in the rain. I am very disappointed with the service I received at Gardena Uhaul. I paid a lot of money and received mediocre service. I highly regret going to this location.

The guy charged me for an extra day because he said I returned it three hours late... I told him I was never told there was a time that it was due at or I wold have dropped the trailer off before work He looked at me and smirked and said it doesn't matter. When I emailed my Douglas Brumfield he was extremely unprofessional and rude. I wan't to speak with someone and get refunded the extra day because I feel it is poor form to not inform someone that it has to be returned at a certain time and be treated poorly because you didn't notice it on your receipt...

This is the 1st location that I would recommend. For these reasons; they gave the most clarity on my rental options that I wasn't aware of like the the weekly rental deal. And how it was calculated all the way down to the damage fee waiver fee. I'm a little disappointed that I didn't utilize the advantages with the weekly rate and the overlapping days. I do love the vehicles and how U-Haul treats them and I wonder when you guys sell your trucks or vans. Are there any financing available? If so I'm interested!

I will never use a U-haul Truck ever again because of this experience. They re-directed me not once but twice and they didn't even have the dolly that I needed and tried to charge me even when I didn't even receive it ... I had to drive 15 miles out of my way to get a U-haul truck that was messed up. The axel was off so the wheel wasn't even straight. The wheel had to be slanted to the left 30 degrees in order for the car to be driven straight which could've caused an accident . I am very unsatisfied with this experience and I would rather pay extra and get a Budget car. We asked for the GM and he was no help.. The least he could've done was take that 15 miles off of total, but he didn't offer anything. Thanks for nothing U-haul. Never recommending this company to anyone if business is going to continue this way.

The first trailer the girl tried to hook up to my truck would not fit the ball on my hitch for some reason (it is a uhaul hitch ball and mount also) but the second trailer hooked up well. Its a good thing the first one didnt fit because while i was being checked out come to find out it was a local trailer only as i was moving out of state.

Great job but I had some issues using the equipment since I really don't know how to use it I callled uhaul and they gave me roadside assistance from this guy who came from KH mobile repair and his name was Kenneth Henson and he guided me to do everything because of him I got the job done and because of him I will forever come back to uhaul for any of my needs thanks Uhaul for having the best roadside assistance ever from KH mobile repair!!! The truck I had - there was a jacket in the truck there from another customer. The milage wasn't right, the gas wasn't right. But the office refuse to correct anything before I left. The lady who works there has a "very bad attitude" why? the General mangers attitude isn't that much better, but hers is certainly worse. Too many "African American working in the same place" time to add some white folks..

I was charged for an extra day & didn't realize until I got the receipt e-mailed to me. I was about 30 minutes late, then had to wait 25 minutes to get checked in. Called the store to try to get a credit, but a call center answered the phone. They assured me that the store manager would call me back within 72 hours, but he never did. I would have kept the truck if I had know I was being charged for another day. I rent a truck or van from U-Haul about every 2 months. I'd still appreciate a credit that I can apply to my next rental.
