The manager was so helpful. He helped us select the right truck for our needs and was very insightful. Everyone was so friendly, it almost did not feel like a UHaul….more like an Enterprise rental car. The manager is doing a great job over there!

When reserving the trailer, I estimated my time of return as 8 hours. Although the rental agreement says $14.95/ day (24 hours in a day last time I checked), apparently as a customer I am held to returning the rental exactly when I estimated my time of return (in this case I had estimated 8 hours when filling out the reservation online). I returned the trailer in 8 hours 20 minutes. Upon check-in, I was told that I was going to have to pay for another day since I was "late" returning the trailer. After an uncomfortable argument, he relented and "gave me a break" and didn't charge me for an extra day. I thanked him but the tactics of asking online for your time of return on a one day rental are deceptive. Live and learn, next time I will ask for the full 24 hours so that if I get stuck in LA traffic, I won't have to argue so that I don't get charged for another day of rental. U-Haul should post a big warning next to the online reservation form that clearly states something to the effect of- VEHICLE MUST BE RETURNED BY THE TIME LISTED HERE OR RENTER RISKS BEING CHARGED FOR AN ADDITIONAL DAY.

Best uhaul experience ever! Start to finish was a superb crew. I forget the managers name when I walked in but he was really knowledgeable and friendly. Octavio at the check in was also A+++++. I don’t usually write reviews but had to with since everyone was so great.

The original location sent me to this one on vaness. The guys their giving the trucks are not very friendly and are rude.

The gas level was manually adjusted based on the gas gauge reading. The truck was returned to location with the contract and key dropped off after hours but the correct gauge was not noted. I was charged for gas based on the wrong gauge. Bad experience. Lost trust.

Prior to renting the equipment, a walk around was not performed. After returning the equipment damage was identified and charged to me. I am certain that this damage did not happen while the vehicle was in my possession.

The reserved trailer I had at a Torrance Uhaul wasn't there at the reserved time so I had to go here to get a trailer. They were friendly but forgot about me out on the lot and I had to go in and ask for the hook-up a second time. The trailer door clasp was difficult to use (rust and a bent part made it hard to open). Door got stuck in the open position. In the end, I feel bad giving this Uhaul a below average rating when they saved me from getting screwed by another Uhaul location, but I can't say my experience here was very good. Suggestion for Uhaul: consider charging a fee ($50?) when customers don't return rented items by the scheduled time. You could waive the fee except when it negatively impacts other customers. It seems the current procedure of simply charging late returners an extra day doesn't give enough weight to the importance of having the reserved items ready when other customers come to pick up. Why not just always rent for 1 day and return when you're done? In the end, I got to my gig in time but I'll be nervous about renting a trailer next time for a time-sensitive use.

It was the 800 number that was a disaster for this rental, U-Haul just lost a customer. When I was booking, I was asking if a specific location had a pickup, I was told no. I passed that location all weekend and they had 2 that never moved. Your dispatch has no accuracy of inventory. Then I was sent an email for the location to pick up my rental. It was wrong. It was closed. That cost me 8 dollars to uber to the wrong location. The dispatch had also put the wrong pickup and drop off time which had to be corrected at the new location. I was told to get the store to do something (partial refund, discount). They did nothing. Customer service did nothing. Therefore your future business with me will be nothing..

When you rent a truck and trailer you have to buy the ball and the piece that goes into the hitch your rep informed me. Would have been nice to know before I rented. Why can you rent me the truck and trailer but not those pieces. Seems like a sales scam . I don’t see that it is at all logical.

This location should inspect all trucks before renting them out. The rail would not pull out. I had movers and I was on a time schedule so I didn't have enough time for toad size assistant. They had lift my furniture into the truck. I left a complaint for the onsite manager and I didn't received a call back which was promise within 72 hours. They couldn't even offer a discount for the inconvenience.
